German Spitz Colours

These are all the colours currently listed in our database. As you can see, there may be some over-active imaginations at work which makes it difficult to know what the correct colour should be and which colour genetics can be found in dog pedigrees. No wonder breeders can often be surprised with the colours of pups that appear in litters.

It also doesn't help when breeders register their litters early only to find that as time passes the puppy changes colour so what is written on the registration paper (and therefore in the KC breed record supplements) is no longer correct.
