Critique
A strange entry with just 13 males entered & 31 bitches. Clearly the stock descended from Ch Wychlea Dayzhar Vooh has great appeal to me as I see that the BOB is his son, the BCC winner (& BP) is his granddaughter on both sides & her litter brother won the RDCC. To keep it as a "family affair", their mother, also by Dayzhar Vooh, won the RBCC.
PD (2) 1 RCC, Bradbury's Wychlea Rhonday Vooh, very classy looking youngster with heaps of potential, loved his head, decent width in skull, not overdone in stop, stunning eyes (too many too round & prominent), shining jet black jacket dressing a fairly compact shape, little neck, tail bang on top, his side action is a joy to watch. Not yet so finished looking as his cracking sister, but I'm sure he will have a very bright career; 2 Flactem's Try And Catch Me, different type altogether. Loved for size & weight of bone, certainly short coupled & with enough spring of rib, head nicely balanced. Expression spoiled by wet staining below the eyes. Very good feet, in good coat. Bum high as he is profile viewed in action. JD & PGD (0). LD (4) 1 Andrews' Porterble Sirius Black from Runfold, very attractive black of lovely size & shape, well boned, lovely feet, tail set spot on, so free striding & showy on the move, pleasing head. Just lost out in expression in the challenge; 2 Chambers' Holbain Benny for Musique, cream who was having a bit of ear trouble so was running with his head to one side. Nothing obvious but something was bothering him. Has lots to like, lovely size, in good coat, quite short backed. Hocks a trifle lacking in angle which restricts the freedom of his stride; 3 Dickinson's Wychlea Pickle. OD (7) 1 CC & BOB, Kimber & Bridgden's Ch Wychlea Ludo at Stonelight, in pristine coat & body condition, every hair gleaming & he was on the tip toe of expectation the whole time, lovely skull, excellent eyes & ears, good lipline, enough neck, so well ribbed, stands foursquare with his tail up & over, on the move his side action is a delight, purposeful, brisk, definitely going somewhere & he just looks so happy at simply being in the ring, very much the finished article & a top class example of the breed; 2 Francis, Pearce & Storm's Stormhaven Special To Me, heaps to like about this handsome sable dog, pretty head, excellent ears & soft, enquiring expression, little neck, fairly short coupled & well ribbed, coat was beautifully presented & in stance he is eyecatching. Lost out in the challenge as he persisted in lifting his forelegs too high on the move, not helped by looking up at his handler; 3 Metcalfe's Flactem Nightspot.
PB (11,3a) 1 CC & BP, Bradbury's Wychlea Isadora Ball, thought her outstanding, black, oozing feminine charm from the most lovely shaped head, aided by the best eyes for size, shape, colour & expression of the day, excellent body, sufficiently compact, strong hindquarters with well let down hocks, in lovely coat, she is a total show off, nothing fazed her, her ears were never down & on the move she is off & ready for anything, moving with a real sassiness & charm. I seldom award CCs to youngsters but she beguiled me into awarding her the CC over her very beautiful mother, but it was the eyes & expression that sold it to me; 2 Moir's Stormhaven Sky Flier to Jansanleis, ordinarily would have walked off with the red card in most puppy classes as she too has a future & is such a good Klein. Bred in the purple, I seem to recall doing her dam rather well some time ago. Cream of lovely type, delightful head & expression, in tremendous coat spotlessly presented & on the stack she does draw the eye. She is glamorous but paid the price for her naughtiness on the move, just too full of herself; 3 Metcalfe's Flactem Nightspot. JB (6,2) 1 W Isadora Ball; 2 Storm's Stormhaven Scotch Mist, see this is the litter sister to Sky Flier & much the same remarks apply. So stylish cream, fully coated, so well put together in construction, lovely size & sufficiently compact for her sex, liked expression, neat ears & straight front. I'm sure she too will do well, she won't meet Isadora at every show; 3 Furber's Holbain Foxy Fool. PGB (2,1) 1 Storm's Dourhu Miss Dynamite at Stormhaven, yet another black, nice for size, certainly compact, decent spring of rib, dark, well shaped eyes, good mouth & not overdone in stop, in good coat she looked a picture as she circled the ring, keeping her shape well. LB (6,2) 1 May's Chilite Painted Feather, very pretty headed w/b parti of lovely make & shape, feminine, her skull/muzzle balance is good though would like the skull a little flatter. Short neck, rounded ribcage & side action balanced. Little wide when fore viewed. Another which could be title bound; 2 Parden's Desaria Sun Dancer mit Dunbrook, a little vixen with the most gorgeous 'glad to see you' temperament, liked her head, eyes so dark & bright in expression, well placed small ears, decent foreface & not overdone in stop, eager to go moved & side on she oozes confidence & style. Felt 1 scored being that tad more compact, or shorter in loin which made the overall impression that bit more appealing; 3 Porter's Porterble Ruby Tuesday. OB (8,2) 1 RCC, Bradbury's Ch Wychlea Aimy Vooh, black again & dam of the precious puppies, super example of the breed, excelling in head shape, so well bodied, lovely size & weight of bone, so compact, wealth of correctly textured jacket which was shining with well being & then she moves, sound, positive & so balanced. She won't bend the knee to many of her sex, but her daughter's expression just bewitched me; 2 Temple's Rimazet Zephyr, black & actually quite similar to 1 in size, compactness & overall appearance, she too can move with balance & good head carriage, in lovely bloom & coat condition. Felt that her eye set was just not quite so good as 1 which swung the scales. But a quality bitch, she had to be get second in this best class of the day; 3 Serman's Ch Dourhu Black Velvet.
