Critique

Championship show: KLEINS My thanks to the committee for inviting me to judge Kleins at their 10th Champ show. Quality was quite high and a wonderful atmosphere prevailed, there was an excellent entry of 112 dogs. Vet D (4) 1 Trendle's Lusam Charlie Dobby. A 9 and a half year old with lovely head and expression, good use of ears. Well balanced in size with a sound forward action and good coat. Teeth starting to go but a good picture. Best VIS. 2 Parden's Limburg City Slicker mit Dunbrook Sh CM. Same age as the winner, well set neck to sound body and quarters. Pleasing in coat and action. A little longer in back than the winner. 3 Morgan's Fin Ch Edgburton Freddy Fox. MPD (7) 1 Serman's Tymy Tymey. A dog just short of 9 months and quite mature for his age, both in body and coat. He really looks the picture. Good size, head, eye, neck and couplings. Well set in quarters with a good topline and tailset. Best action in the class and well put down. Best Puppy in Breed and Res BPIS. 2 Allison's Oberitz Sunshine. At 6 months really lost out on maturity, but a pleasure to go over. Head still to finish but a well laid shoulder, good ribbing and is active fore and aft - just needs time. 3 Roberts' Oberitz Sunspot. Litter brother. PD (3) 1 Bradbury's Wychlea Rhonday Vooh. A black dog of almost 12 months. Good outline, a gassy young dog with a good expression and a keen eye. He has a lovely body, well ribbed and overall well put together. Pleasing in action and pushed hard for Best Dog Puppy. 2 Allison's Oberitz Sunshine. 3 Roberts' Oberitz Sunspot. JD (6) 1 Dyer's Edburton Winter Fox at Javarm. On the day I felt not a strong class, and the winner not in full coat. A real gassy, expressive and good eye and set and use of ears. Sound in body and construction with pleasing front action. 2 McCulloch's Flactem Whizzby. Though quite well put together, for me on the day was a little high stepping in front action. A dog with good balance and head carriage, correct in top and tail with good bone and loin. 3 Leadbetter's Kartmel Take It To the Limit at Pummary. PGD (6) 1 Hayward's Holbain Cool Fool. To me the one who was so well put together and the best mover in the class. A good outline, size and with a good head carriage. Correct in bone and true action. 2 Allison's Oberitz Renegade. A black dog who took my eye when he entered the ring, but really lost out to the winner in action. Pleasing head and carriage, sound body and quarters. Good balance and coat texture. 3 Leadbetter's Timberwolf Codie Joe at Pommary. LD (6) 1 Mole's Molead Moon Beam. A 4 year old dog who is so well put together with a lovely outline, standing and moving on excellent carriage and pleasing in all departments. Good head and a lovely eye and skull. Sound body and balanced quarters, true and steady on the move. One I looked to for higher honours. 2 Andrew's Portable Sirus Black from Runfold. A dog of good type and proportions. Pleasing in outline from head to tail. A dog up to size with pleasing action when settled. 3 Parden's Desaria Skylark mit Dunbrook. OD (10) 1 Kimber and Bridgen's Ch Wychlea Ludo at Stonelight. This dog really too my eye and was put down to perfection. Spot on for size and with a super outline, head, neck and carriage. He has an excellent body with sound overall construction and a good coat. Just a touch out in front action, but good hind action. CC, BOB and BIS. 2 Stannard's Lusam Davey Dingle at Ulmarra. This dog has so much to offer in size and balance. A good head carriage with good action, well angled and ribbed with a good coat and strong loin. Pushed hard for the top spot. Res CC. 3 Highmoor's Ch Kartmel Legolas. Vet B (5) 1 Smart's Ramboobi Joyrider. An 11 and a half year old bitch who can still move with a true and positive action. She still has the expression, good coat and sound body, with good quarters. Won this class on her action and style for her age. 2 Wright's Chilite Midnight Magic. Now a 7 year old but couldn't match the action of the winner on the day, who was flying! Sound in body and quarters and well presented, but not the head of the winner and, for me, a little round in eye. 3 Trendle's Ch Lusam Beatty Romanze. MPB (4) 1 Hill's Tymy Tourbillion of Kilima. Litter sister to Best Puppy Dog and overall Best Puppy. She is smart and has the style and carriage. Feminine head and expression and a well balanced body with a good outline, with that brisk and effortless action. 2 Asher's Stonelight Razzle Dazzle. An 8 month old lady who, for me, at the moment, is a little longer in back. However, she has a pleasing head and eye, a well set neck to a good body with a good topline and correct tuck up in underline. Well finished. 3 Holmes' Tilly Mint. PB (7) 1 Moir's Stormavon Sky Flyer to Jansanleis. A bitch of good size and proportions, not at 10 months and quite mature. Femiine head and correct angles in quarters, good top and strong, well angled loin. Good pigment and sound in action. 2 Leadbetter's Pommary Patsy Klein. A red bitch, not the maturity of the winner, though the same age. Head coming well, correct topline and bone with pleasing outline. 3 Asher's Stonelight Razzle Dazzle. JB (11) 1 Metcalfe's Flactem Nightspot. The one in the class with the coat, so feminine and so gassy with a good outline. Well sized with good balance, well set neck and correct topline. Good tailset, bone and action. 2 Asher's Wychlea Lady Saphire. A pleasant and feminine bitch to go over, now at 17 months. She has a good carriage, well ribbed with a strong loin and pleasing action. The one on the day without a coat. 3 Thwaite's Timberwolf Izzy Bizzy Lizzy. PGB (16) 1 Bradbury's Wychlea Marnie Brown. At just over 2 years a bitch to like for her style and carriage. Sound in construction with a lovely, femiine expression and well laid shoulder. Correct hind angulation, she is true and positive in action. Good coat. 2 Highmoor's Kartmel Bootilicious. Similar in type to the winner. Correct in eye with a well set neck to good body and correct loin. Good action. 3 Storm's Stormavon Scotch Mist. LB (13) 1 Hill's Edburton Llyngoes at Cyfelin. Just 3 years old and she really took my eye with her outline, soundness through and excellent carriage. She is feminine and so true in action, from her well put together and balanced outline. CC and Res BOB. 2 Kimber and Brigden's Stonelight Octavia. JW. Put down to perfection, but on the day couldn't match the winner in action. Feminine head, sound body and quarters and a well knit body with correct bone and wonderful coat and presence. 3 Tullis' Radajasa Double Fizzion. OB (10) 1 Dyer's Ch Wychlea the Dutchess. This 5 year old bitch took my eye from the start, so much style and panache. Another with a femiine head and excellent carriage. True front and action, well balanced body and quarters. She pushed hard for the top spot. Res CC. 2 Wright and Storm's Ch Orion Absolutely Fabulous. This 2 and a half year old white bitch pushed hard, but not quite the style and panache of the winner on the day. She is so femiine and smart, sound through in body and quarters and a good size. I'm sure these two will constantly change places. 3 Allinson's Oberitz Astrobee.
