Critique
A nice entry awaited me for this, my first appointment with CCs. I was most pleased with my main winners who, in my humble opinion, displayed many of the attributes I was looking for when applying the Standard. However, it was disappointing to discover that some well presented exhibits on first glance were somewhat lacking in conformation, dentition and movement.
MPD (6) 1 Bradbury’s Wychlea the Buzz Word. Pleased in head proportions and expression, showing nice shape and a level topline on the move. Well ribbed up, good bone and presented in good coat. 2 Fitzgibbon’s Wychlea Blue Flash at Smiliesam. Compact with good bone and substance and shown in nice coat and condition. Level topline on the move, good set on and plenty of drive from the rear. 3 Lovelock’s Flacten Shadow at Shetlock.
PD (4) 1 Kirby and Ventura’s Terendak Bumbleberry, Best Puppy in Breed. Nicely made and balanced on the move. Pleased in head, neck and body with neat feet and good tailset. No exaggeration and went about his job so well. 2 Bradbury’s Wychlea the Buzz Word. 3 Furber’s Oberitz Cozmopolitan at Holbain.
JD (4) 1 Fitzgibbon’s Wychlea Blue Flash at Smiliesam. 2 Allison’s Oberitz Turbo Charged. Black with a pleasing head and presented in firm condition, nice coat and moved out well. 3 Kirby’s Terendak Tinker Tailor.
PGD (6) 1 Penwarne’s Wychlea Master of Arts. Nice showman, compact with nice lines and pleased in head with good wedge. Neat feet, plenty of bone, short loin, good tailset and plenty of drive from strong hindquarters. 2 Caldow’s Livlandean Yin and Yang. Well presented b/w who scored in head, eye and eards and looked the part in profile. Did not move out so well in the rear. 3 Metcalf’s Flactem Tommys Pride.
LD (8) 1 Smart’s Ramboobi Reveller. Little bobby-dazzler with a nice head shape and expression, compact and short coupled, neat feet and good set on. Could have done with more coat, but moved positively to take the class. 2 Parden’s Limburg City Slicker mit Dunbrook. Pleasing b/w in full coat, head and expression OK, though not using his ears at first. Nicely made with firm loin and good set on. Moved out adequately to just shade 3. 3 Serman’s Roydenzone Cortese Among Tymy.
OD (8) 1 Bradbury’s Wychlea Dayzhar Vooh. Dog CC and Best of Breed. Quality showy black with bags of style. Presented in excellent coat and condition and scored in head shape and proportions with good wedge, moderate stop and well set ears. Nicely made, compact and short coupled and moved out well holding a level topline. 2 Wright’s Orion Mirror Image Res DCC. Another quality exhibit, presented and hadled so well. Pleased in head, eye, ears and body with overall balance evident on the move. 3 Naylor’s Ch Tymy Desert Hawk at Aniday.
MPB (8) 1 Dickinson, Taylor and Ventura’s Terendak Creme Brulee. Pretty cream, short, compact with nice shaped head, well set ears. Firm loin and tail on top. Took time to settle but moved out adequately. 2 Goodwin’s Roydenzone Flo. Black who pleased in head shape, eye, ears and neck. Nice lines and moved out well at first and then became a little unsettled. 3 Bradbury’s Edburton Hint of a Tint with Wychlea.
PB (6) 1 Bradbury’s Edburton Hint of a Tint with Wychlea. Compact and well presented with nice eye, well placed ears and good set on. Good rearend and moved out well when settled. 2 Allison’s Oberitz Golden Girl. Not as pleasing in outline as 1 but scored in head and expression and good coat texture. Held a level topline on the move. 3 Temple’s Rimazet Exquizita.
JB (8) 1 Banfield’s Atroya Winter Sunrise. Well presented o/s in good coat, compact and short coupled with nicely shaped head of good proportion. Pleased in eye, ears, neck, loin and tailset. Moved out well from good rearend. 2 Metcalfe’s Flactem Dreamin Rose. Well made sable, compact, good bone and rib with short loin. Nice head shape and moved out adequately. 3 Lovelock’s Shetlocks Heart Breaker.
PGB (4) 1 Morgen’s Edburton Fox Trot. Compact and nicely made, head, eye and ears ok. Level topline and good tailset. Moved out well. 2 Furber’s Holbain Let’s Party. Presented in nice coat and pleased in head with well set ears and moved out quite well. Pretty young lady but I would have liked a darker eye. 3 Kimber and Brigden’s Stonelight Periwinkle.
LB (9) 1 Allison’s Claran Cream Dream for Oberitz. What an attractive little cream, compact and balanced all round with good headshape, small well set ears. Level topline, tail on top and moved out so well. 2 Hawker’s Chilite Golden Dream. Close up to the winner. Nicely made cream who pleased in head and expression. Well ribbed up and moved out well once settled. 3 Serman’s Roydinzone Chianti Among Tymy.
OB (7) 1 Metcalfe’s Kline Line Lucy Lastic at Flactem. Bitch CC. Active and alert black presented in full coat and sparkled and demanded attention. Her shaded colour may not be everyone’s cup of tea but she confirms on the move what you find on the table. Scored in head shape and size with good wedge and moderately defined stop, nice eye and expression and well set ears. Compact and well ribbed up, good bone, tail on top, she was well balanced on the move holding a level topline. 2 Bradbury’s Wychlea Scarlett Ribbons. Res Bitch CC. Another well presented exhibit who took the eye. Pleased in head shape, neck, topline and tailset and was presented in firm condition. Well ribbed up, she moved out well fore and aft. 3 Kimber and Brigden’s Kartmel Cuddley Dudley from Kempsons.
