Critique

Thanks for a super entry which certainly kept me busy. When I last judged here it was A.V German Spitz, & CC’s were just a dream! At that time I found greater depth in Kleins than Mittels, whereas here it was reversed. Well done Mittel breeders, & come on the Kleins! There is a top cream of excellence in Kleins, so use it, & use it well. Temperament was super, with the exception of two or three who gave me ‘the evil eye’ or rumbled me, & paid the penalty, as this shoud be a happy, confident breed. Kleins:

SPD (1) Holmes’ Oberitz Ray Of Light. Stood alone, 9 mos old, pleasing head & coat just right for age. Needs to settle in the ring, but lots of promise.

SJD (5) 1 Allison’s Terelatim Windy Miller. Wold sable in super condition & beautifully put down. Pleasing head. Well put together, & moved soundly with style & grace. 2 Kirby’s Terendak Bumbleberry. Exc on the move, but not quite the head of 1. 3 Fox’s Oldcharm black Knight. Gd black in fine coat, but lacking the movement of my winnerss.

PGD (12) 1 Kirby’s Terendak Tinker Taylor. Covering the ground with style & grace. Lovely shape & conformation, with an exc eye. 2 Bradbury’s Wychlea The Buzz Word. Chocolate in v gd coat, gd shape & soound on the move. 3 Furber’s Oberitz Cozmopolitan at Holbain. Super mover, though not quite the coat texture of 1 & 2.

LD (11) 1 MacPherson’s Kismet’s Lord Of Chaos. An eye catcher, as he is an exc showman who demands notice. Real quality here as he is put together well & moves with drive & grace, as he had to in order to head this class! 2 Penwarne’s Wychlea Master Of Arts. Choc in exc coat of gd quality. Gd conformation, moved soundly. 3 Allison’s Terelatim Joe Bloggs. What a gorgeous shade of orange! A sound typy specimen, moved well & really covered the ground.

OD (10) 1 Grayer’s Ch.Irish Cream at Delgray. Much like his illustrious father, now I believe he is actually better! In full bloom. with gorgeous pigmentation, eyes & ears giving the sweetest of expressions. Covering the ground easily & elegantly. CC & BOB. 2 Wright’s Ch. Orion Mirror Magic. In gd bloom & exc on the move. Not quite the shape of 1, but showing all the qualities I value. ResCC. 3 Serman’s Roydenzone Cortese Among Tymy. Lovely parti colour, covering the ground with style & grace. I really was spoilt for choice in this class!

SVD (4) 1 Serman’s Ch. Coomar Domino Among Tymy. An old favourite whom I shall miss dreadfully when he finally retires. At 10 yrs he has neither withered nor decayed, & is still prepared to put all in to showing off his exc qualities. 2 Jones’ Kuseley Konnivance. Gd mover in exc bloom & well put down. 3 Jones’ Delfield Gold Dust. Cream in gd condition. Can cover the ground with ease. Sad that all the Veteran Kleins could easily beat more than half the youngsters on movement! But thenks to all owners for takings such gd care of the oldies.

SPB (6) 1 Allison’s Oberitz Glamorous ‘n’ Glitz. Really feminine with the sweetest of heads. Quite demure until she moves, when she is sure & strong BP. 2 Carr’s Kimbacrest Krystal. Cream in lovely bloom but not matching the movement of 1. 3 Gillies’ Kartmel Whirl Wind. Black in gd bloom & well put down. Soundly made, & moving well, but lacking the drive of 1.

SJB (5) 1 Chambers’ Lusam Cream Cracker for Musique. On the small side, but determined to gain attention by exc showmanship. Beautifully made, moved freely with great & style. 2 Goodwin’s Roydenzone Flo. Black showing gd breed type & exc coat quality, but lacked the movement of 1. 3 Hughes’ Timberwolf Starlight Over Candease. Black of reasonable quality, but too nervous to give her best. Unplaced in puppy, but worth perseverance, time & energy.

PGB (14) 1 Banfield’s Atroya Winter Surprise. Orange sable, super pigment, head & expression. Put together well so able to move well, really covering the ground. 2 Metcalfe’s Flactem Dreamin Rose. Light orange sable in really lovely bloom. Moved soundly but lacked the drive of 1. 3 Bradbury & Lamming’s Wychlea Bee Bopuilulu. Wolf sable, on the small side for me, but oh so sound with free, driving action.

LB (9) 1 Tomalin’s Shadylin High Society. Orange sable, in full bloom. Lovely head & eye. Well made & moved strongly. 2 Thompson’s Kempsona Tino’s Melody. Well made & gd on the move but lost out on coat to 1. 3 Banfield’s Prinzagems hallo Atroya. Quality b, but lacking the driving movement I was looking for.

OB (11) 1 Wright & Ruotsalainen’s Int.Ch. Vilitens Dianna. Black as pitch, obviously bred on the continent, probably in a country with a ‘colour bar’. Real quality here, not surprising with her many awards, but she can move as well, & made short, but beautiful, work of the large ring. CC & BOS. 2 Carr’s Ch.Kimbacrests Drama Queen. Another of type & quality who lost out to 1 on freedom of movement, even so a worthy champion. ResCC. 3 Hawker’s Chilite Dancing Cloud. Cream in full bloom, well made & moved really well, but lacking in expression compared to 1 & 2.

SVB (8) 1 Dickinson, Taylor & Ventura’s Ch.Bubble And Squeak At Terandak. An old favourite. Heading the best class of the day, & can still outmove most of the youngsters. Pressed hard for ResCC. Not bad at nearly 10 yrs! 2 Kimber & Brigden’s Ch.Furstin Cherryade at Stonelight. A real eye catcher & I was delighted to find what is underneath is just as gd as her glamorous coat. Make no mistake, this is true champion quality. 3 Burge’s Ch Kendamar Web of Dreams at Calrissaian. In fine condition for her age, and didn’t she enjoy her day out?
