KLEIN: Thank you to those who Sportingly showed under me as a substitute judge. Our best wishes to Mrs Cross Stern and hopefully she will soon be back in the centre of the ring. There was a mix of type on show, but same promising puppies were out for the day. I found a number of poor mouths, a lot of dirty teeth and some very narrow fronts. Shampoo and water would not have gone amiss on one or two exhibits. Straight in the shoulder seems to be an on going problem. The prickly ground affected movement. However some very nice dogs filled the top places and both BOB and BP were shortlisted in their groups.

MPD (2). 1 Hill’s Chilite Blue Chip at Cyfelin. A v appealing but out of coat p hiding nothing. Moved with confidence both ways and good bone and body for age. Nice head with correct bite, good yee shape and well set ears; 2 Jones’ Lusam Zeus. Beautifully presented and in full coat. Head shape good but slightly round although well set ears. Rather close front and rear and maybe found the breed ground difficult. Another well boned and balanced youngster.

PD (8). 1 Johnston’s Dowcher Dynamic. A beautiful correctly coated black. Super compact body. Lovely wedge head with small eyes, neat and well set ears. Good tail set. Excellent construction, so moved really well and with panache for one so young. Short listed in Group BP; 2 Highmoor’s Kartmel Legolas. Good overall shape, well laid shoulder and good angulation, consequently moved well, pleasing coat quality, well ribbed up, nice wedge head and correct bite; 3 Hawken’s Chilite Rapajo.

PGD (4). 1 Jones’ Rossfort Cream Cracker. The best mover on the day in this class. Although a little out of coat the quality and texture was harsh and straight. Correct mouth, nice head and balance of muzzle, well set neat ears. Nice feet, good tail set. Compact and well ribbed; 2 Allison’s Teralatim Windy Miller. Well coated compact and short coupled cream sable d with a lovely square outline. Well boned with nice head, oval eyes and good mouth. Small erect ears, high tail set. Moved well in spurts; 3 Kirby and Ventura’s Terendak Bumbleberry.

B>LD (8). 1 Dickinson, Taylor and ventura’s Terendak Bubble Baileys. A lovely body on this beautifully coated d. Almost square outline, well proportioned head, correct bite, nice ears, super pigmentation, just enough neck, good front and lay of shoulders, moved well both ways RCC; 2 Allison’s Teralatim Joe Bloggs. Striking orange with nice ear shape and placement and dark eye. Alert and moved smartly on neat feet. Enough bone and well ribbed. Harsh straight coat; 3 Harrop’s Grovelyn Cream Tease.

OD (4). 1 Wright’s Ch Quoin Mirror Image. Super white with straight harsh off standing coat, presented beautifully. Lovely bone and body, compact and almost square, good angulation, level top line and high set tail. Super head with correct bite and eye shape and beautiful neat ears. Moved with purpose CC and BOB; 2 Fisker’s Wizaland Dr Paplou at Holbain. Chocolate and white a little larger than No 1 and rather out of coat. Ears rather wide set, good mouth and nice eye. Front movement good but rather close behind. Well boned and bodied, good tail set.

PB (7). 1 Taylor and Brook’s Dourhu Black Velvet. Black with gorgeous head, lovely eyes and small erect ears. Nice bone and body for age, good shoulder placement and well angulated. Well ribbed up, good coat in excellent condition, moved soundly front and rear, litter sister of PD winner, what a pair; 2 Furber’s Holbain Snow Fox. Harsh coated white with neat well placed ears on a well proportioned head. Nice bone and well ribbed up. Not as compact as 1 but moved quite well although slightly closer in rear. Still rather immature; 3 Hawken’s Chilite Okeechobee.

JB (1). 1 Furber’s Holbain Snow Fox.

PGB (7). 1 Breen’s Hasweth Shady Lady at Kylecroft. Like most in this class, v short on coat, but hiding nothing. So well put together 7 one of the best movers of the day. Straight brisk action coming and going, keeping level top line. Good overall shape, compact and well boned body. Nice head with good eyes and correct bite, would prefer slightly smaller ears; 2 William’s Cwm Ogar Monkey Puzzle. A little more ëpommie’ than I like but so well put together and moved a treat. Slightly finer boned than 1 but well proportioned. Nice coat of correct texture, neat feet and good tail set; 3 Kirby and Ventura’s Terendak Tinkerbelle.

LB (7). 1 Hawken’s Chilite Golden Dream. A real eye catcher today, compact and almost square and carrying a profuse cream coat of correct texture, lovely bone and well bodied without being overdone, v pretty head, small neat ears, correct mouth and high set small ears, lovely pigmentation, brisk action and movement good both ways coping so well with the ground CC; 2 Kimber and Bigden’s Stonelight Periwinkle. Beautifully presented black in lovely condition. Correct wedge shaped head with lovely eye and ear shape. V well abalnced and with good bone and body. Moved well in front, but a little class behind; 3 Trendle’s Lusam Beattie Ramnze.

OB (7). 1 Cook’s Ch Chilite Charisma Goldritz. Beautifully presented compact cream with profuse off standing coat. V good bone and body and pretty well shaped head, correct mouth and well set ears, moved with purpose maintaining level top line RCC; 2 Wright’s and Rouotsalaine’s Int Ch Vilitens Diana. Nice black with lovely harsh coat, well shaped head but less feminine than 1. Movement was erratic and top line could have been better, well boned and ribbed up, neat feet and good tail set; 3 Highmoor’s Printzagems Vedi.
