Critique
KLEIN I really enjoyed my day, I felt both my Klein and Mittle BOB where a true representative of our brred for which we have strived to achive for over 20 years now. Some of our newer exhibitors may not know the German Spitz was not a breed we imported as a complete breed, just four where brought into this country and mated to the larger Pom. The KC would only recognise the breed if we accepted any colour and pigment, this to go with colpur, of cause they allow them to be named German Spitz, so please remember colour is one of the beauties of this breed. To me a colour is a colour and not a dilute. I was quite worried about some of the fronts on the GS both in movement and conformation. Do not like to see a dog strung up to hide a bad movement. One can have a tort leash without taking the front legs of the ground. I also was concerned about the size of head they seem to be quite a small the standard states medium to large this goves the appearance of a different breed, one to watch. The standard calls for a profuse coat not to be confused with over coated. This breed is noted for its wonderful temperament and I am sorry to say, one or two had temperaments I would not like to own.
PD. 1. Kinber and Bridgen’s, Wychlea Ludo at Stonelight. Black. This little dog caught my eye as soon as he entered the ring. Head of equal proportions giving a true wedge, neat well placed ears, dark eye, good dentition. Moderately short neck, well placed shoulders with a good front. Straight topline with excellent tailset. Neat feet, correct texture of coat. (Not over coated). Lovely square outline. Well deserved CC and BOB and BP. 2. Penwarne’s, Runfold Kestrel. Brown just a baby but sporting all the quality. Lovely head, good shoulders. Nice spring of rib. Well boned. Outline pleasing. 3. Allison’s, Oberitz the Woodsman.
JD. 1. Morgan’s, Kismet the Maestro. Black and tan. Nicely marked. Good square outline. Correct tailset. Would like more of him. 2. Gillies’, Karmel Dark Angel. Wolf sable dark eye, good mouth. Neat feet. Compact body, tailset good. A little shy. 3. McDonald’s, Kismet the Keaken of Clandonald.
PGD. 1. Goodwin’s, Roydenzoe Alfie Moon. Correct wedge head, well placed ears, eye and nose correct to coat. Correct bite. Nicely bodied with level topline. Square with a good tailset. Neat feet. Good bone. 2. McBain’s, Terendak Bubble Scotch at Willmac. Cream. Neat little dog. Moderate stop, neat ears and eye. Good shoulder, short in back. Good front. A little out of coat. 3. Temple’s, Flactem Reflections mit Rimazet.
LD. 1. Furber’s, Holbain Smudge. Black and white. Like this chap, he came close to second to my BOB. Head well proportioned with the lovely little well placed ears. Correct length neck fitting well into good shoulders. Straight topline with good tailset. Moderate turn of stifle. Good front. Very pleasing outline. Neat feet. Moved freely. RBD. 2. Wychlea the Buz Word. Brown. Super head, correct eye. Nice length to neck. Square outline. Good tailset. Lovely bone. Just a little unsettled on the move. 3. Beard’s, Ticapon Meritus Victor with Hasweth.
OD. 1. Dickinson and Taylor and Ventura’s, Ch. Terendak Bubble Baily. Cream. Profuse coat of good texture. Black pigment, well placed ear, dark eye, correct length to stop. Would like a little more width to head. Neck of nice length. Good topline. Well placed tail. Pleasing outline. Can see why this little chap wins so well. Sadly not my type. 2. Allison’s, Terelatim Windy Miller. Cream sable. Very pretty colour. Lovely texture to his coat. I like a little more head although nice shape, nice eye and ear. Good bone. Straight front. Correct tailset. Moved very well. 3. Allison’s, Chilite Nitelite for Oberitz.
PB. 1. Bradbury’s, Wchclea Aimy Vooh. Black. Feminine head of equal length. Nice eye, neat ears. Good shoulder. Straight topline. Good set of tail. Lovely front, cat feet, nice size. Pleasing outline. Lacking coat but like her type very much. 2. Allison’s, Oberits Forestarter. Orange. Pretty wedge head, neat ears well placed. Nicely bodied with good bone. Tailset laid well over back. Moved well. 3. Taylor and Bonser’s, No Name Given.
JB. 1. Andrew’s, Roydezone Rozanne for Runfold. Black. Lovely head, well proportioned. Good neck, shoulders with the correct angulations. Straight front, square outline. Good bone, neat feet. Substantial little girl but loads of quality. 2. Hughes’s, Lusam Lucy in the Sky over Canease. Sable. Dofferent type to winner. Correct wedge to a feminine head, nice eye, would like ears smaller but well placed. Firm in body. Nice front with good bone. 3. O’Rourke’s, Thomas Rimazet Xenia at Dajeliln
PGB. 1. Temple’s, Rimazet Zephyr. Black. Sweet head, nicely shaped, good eye and ear, correct bite. Topline straight with good tailset. Would like a little more bone and body this may come with maturity. 2. Parden’s, Dunbrook Bedazzled. Cream sable. A little shorter in muzzle than winner, but nice. Good eye. Moderate neck and shoulders. Good well rouned body. Nice tailset. Showed well. 3. Sheasby’s, Edburton Hint of Tint with Wychlea.
LB. 1. Gillies’, Kartmel Whirlwind. Black. Superb bitch. Lovely shape. Well proportioned to her head, nice dark eye, ley down in ear. I have seen this little girl with her ears correctly in place and what a diffence. Sound in body, tight tail set giving a lovely square outline. Ample bone and boy has she pulled her act together. 2. Lovelock’s, Shetlock Heart Breaker. Black. Another excellent bitch. Lovely feminine head with the smallest of ears. Well placed shoulders, topline good. Lovely bone. Just did not want to show on the day. 3. Furber’s, Holbain Heaven Sent.
OB. 1. Bradbury and Lamming’s, Wyhclea Bee Bopalulu. Brown. Dark eye of correect shape. Correct slope to stop, equal proportioned to head fitting nicely into a wedge. Nice strong teeth with excellent bite. Used her ears well giving a good expression. Moderate length to neck, fitting nicely into well placed shoulders. Straight front, elbows tight. Good spring of rin. Topline straight. Tailset high in back. Ample bone. Cat feet. Moved true just a little lacking coat on the day. CC. 2. Taylor and Bonser’s, Dourhu. Black velvet black. Another nice type. Good head, neat ears. Correct tailset. Square outline. Would just like a little more bone. 3. Dickinso and Taylr and Ventura and Robinson’s, Terendak Bubble Cream via Poielin.
