Open Show: KLEINS I was delighted to accept this appointment and thank the club members for voting for me. I would also like to thank my hard working steward for all her help on the day. I enjoyed my appointment and had some quality dogs to go over which made decisions, in some classes, very difficult. One aspect that I found very worrying was temperament. Our standard calls for the German Spitz to be happy with an equable disposition, showing no signs or nervousness or aggression. I had too many dogs who displayed signs of nervousness and in two cases, aggression. The wonderful temperament of the German Spitz was one of the reasons I decided to share my home with them and I sincerely hope bad temperaments do not become the norm. DOGS Vet (3) 1 Allison Fin Ch. Obertiz Turbo Charged, 7 yr old black, abundance of quality coat covering a compact body, neat, well used ears, very attentive to handler, Best Klein Veteran and with agreement of my cojudge Best Veteran in show. 2 Trendle Lusam Charlie Dobby, happy 9 yr, beautifully presented, really enjoyed his day out, 3 Holmes and Furber Holbain Star Twinkling. MP (1) 1 Halligan Icable Shine On 8mth brown and white parti, good mouth, enough bone and substance, beautifully presented, unhappy on the table, moved OK but took a while to settle, needs to gain more confidence to show himself off to best advantage. RBPD. P (6,1) Temperaments in this class were not good and this was reflected in the placings 1 Hayward Holbain Cool Fool, 11 mths attractive, confident and showy brown and white parti, presented a square outline, masculine head with well used ears, enough bone for size, in full coat of the correct texture, beautifully presented, moved well and never stopped showing, should have a bright future. BP and RBPIS, 2 Highmoor Runfold Summer Nights, 9 mths old, good mouth, neat feet, moved steadily, needs more coat to complete the picture, 3 Thompson Radajasa Carbon Copy. J (1) 1 Thompson Radajasa Carbon Copy, 11mths cream, good mouth, blackest of pigment, lovely temperament, beautifully presented, moved well, unfortunately lifted the measure. PG (2) 1 Andrew Porterble Sirius Black From Runfold, lively, masculine black, presented a square and balanced outline, excellent body and substance, good head and expression with correct dark eye, well set ears used to advantage, well presented harsh coat. Showed well for his owner but the changing of handler to move him did nothing to enhance his movement. His obvious breed attributes gave him the class and later BD and BOB. I was pleased that the referee, who is a breed specialist, endorsed my opinion of him by later awarding him BIS. 2 Allison Oberitz Prinz Charming, black, in excellent coat and condition, very attentive to handler. L (6) Close decisions between the first 3 in this class. 1 Clarke Stonelight Enzo, black, compact square outline, good bone and substance, lovely head and expression, neat, well used ears, gave his handler a hard time on the move and never really settled, 2 Dickinson Wychlea Pickle, well made black, presented a square and compact outline when standing, accomplished showman who moved steadily but just lacked a little sparkle and appeared to be rather bored with it all, 3 Trendle Lusam Crispin Blunt. O (5,1). 1 Chambers Ch. Nosregor Hot Shot For Musique SHCM. Mature, showy, eye-catching brown, well up to size, compact, square outline, excellent bone and substance, correct textured coat which was beautifully presented, delightful temperament lovely to see such a happy dog, excellent showman, never took his eyes off his handler, another who didn't really settle on the move. Pushed very hard for BD, pleased to award him RBD. 2 Furber Oberitz Cozmopolitan At Holbain. Mature, cream dog, presented a typical outline, lovely head and expression, well bodied and presented in good condition, steady mover, pushed winner hard, 3 Trendle Lusam Tuff Talkin. BITCHES Vet (4,1) 1 Highmoor and Garwood Pritnizagems Vedi 9 year brown, beautifully presented, attractive head and expression, moved and showed well, 2 Trendle Ch Lusam Beatty Romanze, 9 year exuberant black, feminine head and expression, lovely coat and condition, really enjoyed her day out, 3 Allison Obertiz Touched By Magic. MP (3, 2), 1 Norkett Sinders And Snow, attractively marked black and white parti, very much a baby at just 6 months, adequate substance for size, lively, happy temperament, beautifully presented, coat a touch soft at the moment. P (6) 1 Furber Holbain Foxy Fool, attractive cream, feminine head and expression, dark eye, good mouth, enough bone and substance, took a while to settle but when she did she showed she could move well, 2 Asher Wychlea Lady Sapphire, blue, excellent pigment and nice dark eye, lovely temperament, good bone and substance, not in full coat, did not really settle on the move, 3 Tullis Radajasa Double Fission. J (7, 2), Temperaments were not good in this class, 1 Bradbury Wychlea Marnie Brown, presented a square, compact outline, lovely head and expression, well off for bone and substance, correct coat which was beautifully presented, took time to settle but when she did moved well, pushed hard for BB, RBB, 2 Allison Oberitz Raven, compact black, feminine head and expression, not as settled in front movement as winner, 3 Asher Wychlea Lady Sapphire. PG (12, 2), Difficult class as movement was very diverse, 1 Trendle Lusam Parti Popper, attractive black and white parti, compact and well muscled body, feminine head and expression, beautifully presented, needs to settle a little in front movement, 2 Porter Magical Minks, black, typical head and expression, good bone for size, well used ears, touch wide in front movement, pushed winner hard, Goodwin Roydenzone Just Jay. L (6, 1) 1 Kimber and Bridgen Stonelight Electra, black, substantial bone and substance but still retains her femininity, excellent outline, correct textured coat which was beautifully presented, never stopped showing, moved well in the class but when it came to challenge for RBIS was unsettled which was such a pity. BB and RBOB, 2 Sheasby Wychlea Ohfaye At Baobab, black, feminine head and expression, beautifully presented in good coat, showed well, would just like more of her, 3, Hayward Don't Look Back. O (7, 1) 1 Dyer Ch Wychlea The Dutchess, mature black, another who excels in bone and substance, lovely head and expression, was not with her usual handler and never really settled on the move, 2 Porter Porterble Magical Minks, 3 Cook Goldritz Sleepflower.
