Critique

It was an honour to be invited to judge I would like to thank German Spitz Breeder & Owners Club. Thank the exhibitors for your entries, splitting hairs in many classes as one of the hottest days of the year the Spitz coped very well. Temperament was outstanding and I was delighted with my overall winners.

Junior 21st C Hamer Clamers Diamond Mischief 14mnth Black dog of correct size nice head and lovely expression, clean dentition strong neck going into moderate shoulder, short coupled, high tail set, good coat, moved briskly covering the ground effortlessly very well balanced dog that stood out in profile. Lovely temperament presented in good condition. 2nd Mr Francis & Mr Pearce & Mrs & Miss Williams Longsdale Lets Go Trebettyn 14 month Cream dog. Nice wedged shape head good eye, ear placement lovely expression good dentition, good pigment good coat, moderate shoulder good tail set short coupled nice neat feet a very nice dog moved well when settled presented well in excellent condition.

Special Yearling dog 1st Mr Francis & Mr Pearce & Mrs & Miss Williams Longsdale Lets Go Trebettyn. as per 2nd in Junior.

Limit dog 21st Miss T Beck Nadik Tiger Woods 4 year black in good condition and of nice substance slight frosting round his mussel correct scissor bite nice and clean dentition, nice correct wedge shape head with good eye and ear making for a lovely expression, good front assembly short coupled, neat feet, with high tail set, correct coat, moved out briskly covering the ground effortlessly overall a nice balanced dog looking good in profile. 2nd Mrs C Cook Goldritz Stole The Sun 4 year old Cream good wedge head , complete regular scissor bite good pigment nice oval dark eye, neat ears, quality coat, good in fore chest strong neck going into well placed shoulder, nice neat feet short coupled good tail set , moved well , balanced dog looked nice in profile. Turned out to perfection. Handled very well.

Open Dog 2 1st Mr & Mrs Highmoor CH Printzagems Verve. Excellent 4 year old black dog good dentition excellent wedged shaped head and oval eye, neat placed ears making for a lovely expression, correct standoff coat of good harsh quality, moderate neck going into well placed moderate shoulder high set tail, very neat cat like feet, short coupled, good front and hind assembly balanced dog moving briskly covering the ground with purpose looking excellent in profile. So in tune with his handler. Pleased to award him Best Dog. 2nd Mr Francis & Mr Pearce Longsdale’s Willie Win. Excellent 3 year old cream dog turned out to perfection nice head, good clean dentition, good oval dark eye with excellent pigment good front and rear assembly high tail set very neat cat like feet, did not seem to be settled on the move coming forward such a shame as overall a very nice dog looking stunning on the stand in beautiful correct coat, handled to perfection was still pleased to award him Reserve Best Dog.

Special Vintage Mr & Mrs Highmoor CH Kartmel Legolas. Lovely 10 year old black dog with good scissor bite clean dentition which impressed me good head correct shape eyes nicely placed ears making for a good expression short coupled in good coat this gentleman moved out well in tune with is handler and was very pleased to award this dog Best Vintage in show.

Junior Bitch 2. 1st Mrs Allison Obertiz Candy Melt. Nice black bitch nice head eye and ear placement making for nice expression good front assembly short coupled, neat feet in good coat for age good tail set moved well. Balanced bitch looked very nice in profile turned out in good order. 2nd Miss C Hamers Clamers Diamond Bear Very light brown bitch in colour 14 month was not in the best of coats she was nicely put together and moved reasonable but would have preferred much more substance she had a lovely temperament. Handled well.

Post Graduate Bitch 1. 1st Miss T Beck Nardik Moonshine. Cream 3 year old Bitch this girl was very hot and would not show me her teeth, who could blame her at nearly 30 degrees she preferred to pant, but what I did see they were nice and clean, good head, ears, good shoulder, good coat, neat feet moved reasonably well would of preferred better pigment but correct for a cream distracted slightly from her over all expression. Presented well nice, balanced bitch looking nice in in profile.

Limit 4. 1st Miss C Hamers Clamers Caramel Surprise. Just loved this 3 year old lovely cream girl good substance, nice wedged head with good ear set, the darkest of eye and pigment made for the most appealing famine expression good strong neck going into well placed shoulders good front and hind assembly, nice and square, high set tail very neat feet, just enough turn of stifle making for a balanced bitch, moved effortlessly and in tune with her handler looked stunning in profile to top it all in beautiful coat. Full of herself, her lovely expression and use of her well pricked ears, just took my eye. Pleased to award her Best Bitch and Best of Breed. 2nd Miss T Becks Nardik Chardonnay. 5 Year old Blue Parti bitch of good substance shown in good condition good head, correct ear placement, good eye nice coat and high set tail not as square as my winner moved reasonable when settled.

Open Bitch 4 (1) abs 1st Miss L Garward Printzagems Tantalize 6 year old Feminine Black bitch of substance good wedge head, nice eye and ear placement correct scissor bite good front and hind assembly, nice square out line good tail set in very good coat looked a picture in profile moved briskly covering the ground effortlessly nice neat feet. Well balance bitch pleased to award her reserve best Bitch. 2nd Miss Hammer Clamers Gems a Diamond.Black 14 month Bitch would prefer her to be more feminine in head nice eye and ear placement up to size, good front assembly tad longer in the loin than one, moved out reasonably well. Not the coat as one neat feet. Handled well.
