Critique
It was indeed an honour & privilege to judge our beautiful breed. On the whole I found movement to be good in most with a few that were slightly over the measure.
Who could have predicted what a wonderful end of the day with Jen winning a well deserved Utility Group where she showed her heart out & never put a foot wrong she was a joy to watch.
VD (2,1a) 1 Halligan’s Icabel Shine On, choc parti, masculine dog with a wedge shaped head, small erect ears, level topline, high set tail, tight catlike feet, moved well. PD (4,1) 1 Chambers’ Jansanleis Hot’n’Happening for Musiqe, white dog, nice head, well set ears, dark eyes, good front, level topline, high set tail, tight catlike feet, moved well. BP; 2 Pearce, Francis & Williams’ Lonsdale Devil In Disguise with Trebettyn, white dog, pleasing head, good pigment, well bodied, level topline, tight catlike feet, moved OK. JD (0). PGD (6,2) 1 Lewis’ Indizak Hakuna Matara at Louchelle, cr/s, compact dog, broad skull, small well set ears, dark oval shaped eyes, short back, good bone, high set tail, tight catlike feet. Moved well; 2 Dyer’s Oberritz Curiousiry at Javarm, compact black dog, pleasing head, small triangular ears, dark oval shaped eyes, good pigment, well boned, high set tail, tight catlike feet. Moved well; 3 Bamford’s Kysiena Spring Tide at Hazdawn, b/w parti, masculine wedge shape head, small ears, dark oval shaped eyes, high set tail, tight catlike feet, moved OK. LD (5,2) 1 Beard’s Wyndlee Cam En Bear, masculine brown dog, broad skull, dark oval shaped eyes, small triangular ears, good mouth, short neck, good forechest, well boned, short back, level topline, high set tail, tight catlike feet, moved well; 2 O Curiousity at Javarm; 3 Bamford’s Appplebanks Goldfinger at Hazdawn, orange dog, slightly over the measure, masculine head, dark eyes, ears set wide apart, would prefer higher set tail, tight catlike feet, moved OK. OD (14) 1 Pearce & Francis’ Ch Longsdale’s Willie Win, what a fabulous class of quality dogs. First could not be denied for his soundness & breed type. Handsome compact cream dog, wedge shaped head, broad skull, small well placed ears, dark oval shaped eyes, good black pigmentation, correct scissor bite mouth, good front & bone, short neck, level topline, high set tail, well ribbed, moderate tuck-up, profuse harsh coat, stood foursquare, moved without exaggeration. A worthy Ch. CC; 2 Baranyal’s Hch/Ro/RoGCh Bruno Mars Grand Rose, sable dog, wedge shaped head, small well placed ears, dark oval shaped eyes, good black pigment, level topline, high set tail, tight catlike feet, stood foursquare. Moved well. RCC; 3 Wright & Halligan’s Nardik Eclipse, black dog, beautiful dark oval shaped eyes, small well set ears, good bone, level topline, high set tail, tight catlike feet, move well. GCD (2) 2 Spence’s Stormavon Sandpiper with Spencerian, cream dog, not in such a good coat, wider set ears, dark eyes, good front & bone, moved OK; 3 Hewitt’s Oberitz New Orizons, black dog, not in the best of coats, dark eyes, good mouth, level topline, moved OK.
VB (4) 1 Trendle’s Ch Lusam Parti Popper, b/w parti, compact, beautiful feminine head, small ears, dark expressive eyes, correct mouth, good front & bone, high set tail, level topline, tight catlike feet, harsh coat moved well; 2 Moir’s Ch Stormavon Sky Flyer to Jansanleis, cream bitch, wedge shaped head, small well placed ears, beautiful dark eyes, good mouth, level topline, high set tail, tight feet, moved well. PB (9,1) 1 Pearce & Francis’ Longsdale’s Dilemma, solid black, beautiful feminine wedge shaped head, small well placed ears, dark oval shaped eyes, good pigment, short neck, well boned, good front, level topline, moderate tuck-up, high set tail, tight catlike feet, moved well; 2 Baker’s Clarmers Ruby Red, choc bitch. Very close decision with 1. Beautiful feminine head, broad skull, good pigment, moderate forechest, level topline, high set tail, tight feet, moved well; 3 Wright’s Orion Chloe May, cream bitch, slightly over measure, small ears, dark oval shaped eyes, good bone & tuck-up, high set tail. Moved OK. JB (3) 1 Bradbury’s Oberitz Topsy Turvy for Wychlea, beautiful compact black famine bitch, wedge shaped head, well placed ears, good mouth, front & bone, moderately short neck, well boned, moderate tuck-up, well ribbed, level topline, tight feet, moved well; 2 C Ruby Red; 3 Smith’s Kysiena Return To Innocence, cr/w bigger bitch, pleasing head, short neck, level topline, good bone & feet, moved OK. PGB (9) 1 Jackson & Minshall’s Holbain Trix Of The Trade, feminine s/w bitch, broad skull, good pigment, well set ears, dark oval hoped eyes, correct mouth, good bone, level topline, high set tail, moved well; 2 Tonks’ Oberitz Happy Hour, black bitch, most feminine of heads, small well set ears, dark oval shaped eyes, good mouth, level topline, high set tail, tight feet, moved well; 3 Kettle-White’s Lusam Spic’n’Span, bl/s, wedge shaped head, dark eyes, correct mouth, short well set neck, level topline, well boned, moved well. LB (10,1) 1 Hill’s Cyfelin Solitaire, a very feminine cr/s compact bitch with black mask, broad skull, well placed small ears, darkest of eyes, correct mouth, good pigment, short neck, moderate forechest, well boned, tight catlike feet, in good harsh coat, moved well; 2 Rogerson’s Nosregor Lies’N’Deceet, black bitch, small well placed ears, dark oval shaped eyes, good mouth, high set tail, catlike feet, in good coat, moved well; 3 Yemm’s Sierian Mrs Brown at Llanhari, choc bitch, lacking in coat today but a very pleasing bitch, small well placed ears, dark eyes, good mouth, level topline, tight feet. Moved well. OB (9) 1 Pearce & Francis’ Ch Longsdale’s Jen You Win, what a quality class. Fabulous cream compact bitch aptly named, never put a foot wrong, fits the Standard perfectly. Beautiful feminine wedge shaped head, broad skull, small well placed erect triangular shaped ears, dark oval shaped eyes, correct scissor bite mouth, moderately sloping shoulder & forechest, well boned, level topline, high set tail, tight catlike feet, hardest of coats, really excelled herself on the move. CC. Just had the edge over the dog in movement for BOB. GCB (0).
