Critique

Thank you to the officers and committee of the German Spitz Club of Great Britain for inviting me to judge their breed open show, along with my co judge Carole Ash, referee was Chris Serman, but we agreed on our placings so she was not called for.

VD (4) 1 Trendle’s Lusam Neat ‘N’ Tidy, wolf sable of good size & shape, neat head with wedge shape muzzle, good eyes & neat ears of correct size, decent coat, moved well, reluctant with tail at times; 2 Stannard’s Ch Lusam Davey Dingle at Ulmarra, g/s with a decent head, good for size & shape. Coat of good texture, moved OK, just preferred more positive movement & briskness of the winner. MPD (1) 1 Highmoor’s Printzagems First In Line, black of 7 months, correct head, neat ears & well shaped dark eye, has a good coat but this could be harsher, good shoulder & front tight feet, square outline, moved well. PD (1) 1 Chambers’ Jansanleis Hot ‘N’ Happening for Musique, cream boy with a great head, correct eye & ears of correct size & shape. Good pigment, decent front, level topline, decent coat of good texture, well plumed tail that carries well, moved OK. BPD. PGD (4,1a) 1 Bamford’s Kyslena Spring Tide to Hazdown, b/w parti with a good head, well placed ears of correct size, good eye shape, muzzle slightly long, correct neck, level topline, well balanced of good size, correct shoulder & well angled rear, harsh coat, moved well; 2 Penwarne’s Oberitz Hot Persuit to Sheldamar, a black boy, correct head properties, well shaped dark eyes, correct ears, slightly long cast, preferred the balance of the winner.
