I found the Kleins very mixed in head type – the breed standard asks for a wedge shaped head with small high set ears and an oval eye, and sadly there are still many exhibits that exhibit the two piece head with a rounded skull and pointed muzzle and round bulbous eyes, which are then incline to weep. Ears seem to be getting larger and very varied in placement which is also affecting expression. With some FCI countries allowing Pomeranians to be transferred up to Klein spitz when they are oversized, and it is apparent that instead of breeding away from the pom type we are still gravitating towards it whether by intention or by lack of understanding of the pedigrees of some of the dogs that are imported.

PD (2,1) 1. Dyer & Orr’s Musique Wishful Thinking, good size pup with excellent head, flat skull, oval eye of dark brown, muzzle of good strength to create wedge shape, excellent pigment. Ears could be smaller. Compact in profile, and good balance of leg to body depth, high set tail curled well over back. Moderate angulation, chest broad. Moved soundly, BP.
JD (2, 0) 1. Musique Wishful Thinking.
2. Wright’s Montblanc Bjorn Ironside At Orion, less mature than winner and head yet to develop. Lovely eye shape and colour, muzzle of good proportion and with clean cheeks. Longer cast than winner and would prefer tighter tail. Well-developed chest and good hind angulation. Moved soundly just a shade close behind.

LD (3,0) 1. Moir’s Jansanleis Loud 'N' Proud, out of coat on the day – but is well constructed with good neck and angulation front & rear. Head of correct proportions and well developed wedge shape, neat high set ears. Would prefer more oval eye. Good chest and firm back. Moved very well showing off his good construction.
2. Serman’s Printzagems Late Arrival For Tymy, good size with excellent bone and coat. High set tail and firm back. Found his skull a shade round and whilst ears were neat they were a little wide set which combined with rounded eye altered expression. Moved briskly but close behind.
3. BECK’s Nardik Tiger Woods.
OD (4,1) 1. Pearce, Francis & Williams’ Longsdale's Lets Go Trebettyn, immaculately presented cream, is excellent in profile, compact near square outline, good double coat without being excessive. Excellent angulation and neck. Short back to high set tail. Well boned legs to cat feet. Head is correct wedge of good proportions, excellent pigment, would prefer ears a little smaller to complete picture. Excellent on the move from all directions, CC & BOB.
2. Halligan’s Nardik New Moon At Icabel JW ShCM, another compact dog in excellent coat, well boned, good hind angulation, would prefer more neck, good chest. Attractive head of correct wedge with net ears set high. Alert and showed well, moved will coming and going but not quite reach of winner, RCC.
3. Beck, Wright & Halligan’s Ch Nardik Eclipse.
GCD (1,0) 1. Spence’s Stormavon Sandpiper With Spencerian ShCM, well boned larger dog, in excellent coat, good angulation front & rear. Correct flat skull and neat ears well set. Would prefer more oval eye. Moved soundly.
MPB (1, 0) 1. Godridge’s Isilme Lady Of Rivendale, slightly longer cast, excellent coat and presentation. At current development head is a little long through skull, but would expect to broaden as matures, ears appear big in proportion to skull. Would prefer more front angulation. Good chest and firm back to high tail. Moved ok behind – but inclined to high step in front.

JB (4, 0) 1. Tullis’ Radajasa's Greta Zelle, parti colour in excellent coat and presentation, hope she has stopped growing. Compact in outline, good angles and firm back, a little wide in chest. Correct wedge head with lovely oval eye and heat high ears. Moved very well.
2. Macbain & Shepherd’s Fecimus The Good Fairy, well coated and excellent presentation, would prefer more balance in body/height ratio. Head is well developed wedge with excellent eye for shape and neat high set ears moved well.
3. Hall’s Nardik Inky Dinky Doo.
YB (2, 0) 1. Hall’s Nardik Inky Dinky Doo, 3rd in JB, rather small in size and of pom type, excellent coat, compact in outline, high set tail. Hind angles are ok but would prefer more neck and front angulation. Moves soundly, but prefer more reach.
2. Moxon’s Chilite Cochine At Thirldene, another with more pom characteristics that spitz, rounded head with bulbous eye, lovely neat ears but set wide. Excellent coat of good texture. Small in stature. Chest rather wide. Moved erratically so hard to assess.
PGB (2, 0) 1. Mellor’s Nirvana Sunset at Bellapip, parti of smaller size, very compact and in excellent coat and well presented. High set tail. Correct eye and ears, muzzle a little shot in comparison to skull. Stands rather wide in front , but well angulated and moves ok in profile, little wide in front.
2. Godridge’s Isilme Dazzle Me, compact in shape, very good coat. Skullis rather rounded with bulbous eye. Ears could be smaller and muzzle on short side. Angles ok and moved ok.
LB (3, 2) 1. Spence’s Spencerian Kiss Me Quick, lovely type and considered for higher awards, excellent head, with dark oval eye and flat skull, neat ears. Well angulated front and rear. Well coated and presented, with good bone to cat like feet. Moves well. Just not enjoying the ring today as much as main winners.
OB (8, 1) 1. Rogerson’s Nosregor Lies'n'deceet, black in excellent coat and beautifully presented. Compact shape and well bone legs to tight feet. Good angulation and enough neck so is not stuffy. High set tail. Correct wedge head, flat skull and excellent eye shape, neat ears to give correct expression. Moves very well in all directions. Not as showy and alert as some but handled to get the best from her when required, CC.
2. Wright’s Orion Chloe May, to coin a cliché, not in best of coats but means nothing can be hidden. Excellent compact shape and very good angles and neck. Lovely head, flat skull and excellent eye for colour and shape and no staining on this pale coloured bitch. Lovely brisk clean movement, forgave her the lack of coat for her correct breed type, RCC.
3. Pearce & Francis’ Ch Longsdale's Jen You Win JW Sh.CM
