German Spitz Club of Great Britain Open Show 31^st March 2018

It was an honour to Judge the Klein at the German Spitz Club Of Great Britain Open show. Whilst pleased with my overall winners. I would say there is quite a difference in type, mainly head type. Although wedged some had far deeper stops and short muzzles than others. I also found some that did not have the correct oval shape eye. Variation in size and substance also seems a problem. On the plus side the temperament’s was first class. As the breed is a developed breed, from Pomeranians and Keeshonds I rather suspect this is the cause of such a variation. Hopefully type may become more consistent in future years. Agreed with fellow judge for the eventual top honours.
