GERMAN SPITZ - KLEIN
I was a pleasure to go over the dogs and the sporting way my decisions were received by the exhibitors. I did not expect to make up three new champions and start a new one with a first ticket but that’s what happened. Some of the Kleins are still a little short in foreface, while both sizes exhibited some with long backs and weak loins. The Breed standard is quite specific in that the breed should be almost square in outline not oblong. Many Mittel bitches seem to be getter smaller although still within the size parameters. In addition many in both sizes lacked muscle so not driving well from the rear. However I was pleased with my major winners and wish them all well for the future.
PD (1) 1. Chambers’. Musique Born Legacy (BPD) (BPIB) Glamorous fully coated youngster with neat well placed ears. I would prefer a stronger muzzle and less tear staining, however well put together and good in outline with well set tail. Moved easily around the ring.
PGD (1) 1. Sutherland’s. Cyfelin Man In Black. Black not in full coat today but with sufficient covering. Well constructed and balanced. Well placed ears and lovely dark eye. Would persist in turning front feet out when standing and not always even on the move.
LD (4) 1. Pearce & Francis. Longsdale Heat of the Moment (DCC) Well presented brown in excellent coat and condition. Good head and expression but for me I would prefer a little more masculine in outlook but he is only a young dog. Level topline and balanced throughout without exaggeration. Moved positively. 2. Trendle’s. Lusam Cheeky Boy. Cream with correct harsh coat. Well put together, perhaps a slightly shorter back would complete the picture, but very sound on the move and well muscled up. 3. Bayliss. Kysiena Chant of the Dream at Karmajen
OD (3) 1. Chambers’. Musique Quilo (RDCC) Cream parti in full coat and excellent condition. Balanced head with well placed ears .Level topline with correctly carried tail. Tended to stand down on the hock, and pasterns could be stronger but moved steadily around the ring. 2. Pearce & Francis. Ir Ch. Longsdale Cool Rider. Black not in full coat today. Very nice to handle and a pleasure to go over. Well muscled with correct head pattern and lovely dark eye. Neat feet. Not so settled in the ring but excellent on the move. Lacked overall maturity in this class today but time is on his side. 3. Lewis’. Indizak Hakuna Matata at Louchelle ShCM.
PGB (3,1) 1. Ferry’s. Longsdale’s Little Bird with Ferrybelle (BCC)(BOB) Feminine wolf sable in full coat and well presented. Balanced throughout with good head and neat ears. Standing foursquare with neat catlike feet. Gave of her best at all times and moved easily around the ring. 2. Bayliss. Reflection of Fame at Kysiena. Black in her underwear today. Nice head and expression. Would have preferred slightly better front angulation and shorter back. Level topline. Moved OK when she settled.
LB (1) Moon’s. Galvizach Ellexia for Hollirox. Well covered glamorous black bitch who excels in head and expression. Unfortunately standing wide in front today which spoiled her overall appearance and front movement. Level topline and well carried tail.
OB (5) 1. Pearce & Francis. Ch Longsdale Dilemma (RBCC) Very well put together feminine black bitch. Balanced in outline without exaggeration, Correct moderate angulation. True spitzy expression. Neat feet, moved well. Just lacked enthusiasm today which cost her the ticket. 2. Hall. Nardik Inky Dinky Doo. Black and white parti in full coat. A different type to the winner but still very sound. Correctly put together and moved well over the uneven ground. 3. Mellor. Nirvana Sunset at Bellapip
VB (2) 1. Trendle’s. Ch Lusam Parti Popper ShCM (BV) 13 and a half years young B/W parti bitch who no one has told she is a veteran. In full coat of correct texture. Good body in hard fit condition. Head is starting to show age but her drive and movement around the ring shows many youngsters how to do it. 2. Kettlewhite’s. Lusam Spic N Span. Another very nice veteran with good head and expression, still possessing full dentition. Well put together and in firm condition, also moved very well.
