Critique
GERMAN SPITZ - KLEIN
PD (2) 1 Bradbury’s Wychlea Percy Vehere love the name! This is a promising young black excelling in head, especially good ears, eyes and an expression which is so bright. Little neck, very well ribbed, decent length of leg, tight feet, high set and well carried tail. Moved out steadily. 2 Henry’s Cyfalin Star IN The Galaxy this sable has a well shaped head but for me the winner had the more appealing eyes and expression. He is certainly well bodied, short in back, well muscled hindquarters and tail set and carried high. Was a bit of a monkey on the move as his head was carried too low most of the time.
JD (5,1) 1 CC & BOB Chamber’s Musique Born Legacy I thought this little white job was a stunning example of the breed. Beautiful size yet well boned, compact shape, delightful head and his expression is so good. Excellent pigmentation compliments his sparkling white coat, he moved out with a brisk, ground eating action and showed non stop. Surely title bound. 2 Pierce & Francis’ Longsdale’s Blame It On Me another very promising youngster, this time cream. Very good head, eyes and expression, enough neck which he uses well, compact in body, sufficient length in leg, very good hindquarters and superb coat presentation. Action balanced in profile but he was playing up in front. 3 Beck’s Nardik Wizzard
PGD (1) 1 Leadbetter’s Pommary Time After Time this light red is a nice size, well shaped eyes and correct muzzle. For me his skull could be a little flatter and the ears smaller. He is firm bodied and is compact in proportions. Looks at his best circling the ring with a free, brisk stride. LD (6) 1 Pearce & Francis’ Longsdale Heat Of The Moment this chocolate was immaculate in coat and trained to perfection in ring deportment and showman skills. Loved his size, very good head if perhaps a shade too much stop for me but scores in muzzle, eyes and expression. He out-moved the others with his free, positive gait. 2 Jackson & Winshall’s Perrymere Just Bertie JW this deep cream is a lovely size with good bone, legs and small feet. His head has a shade too much stop and the eyes are a trifle fuller than I prefer but he has super well furred ears and his head carriage is excellent. Side on his action is lithe and free striding. 3 Rogerson’s Nosregor Willhe Do
OD (6/1) 1 & Res CC Moir & Moir’s Jansanleis Loud ‘n’ Proud this pale cream has so much going for him and he looks a class act. He ticks most of the boxes, I liked his size, substance well weighted bone, that touch of refinement in head yet undoubtedly masculine, never stops showing and moved out soundly. Close up for the CC. 2 Pearce & Francis’ Ir Ch Longsdale’s Cool Rider a delightful black presented to perfection in coat and he tried his best. He is a lovely size and shape, excellent head carriage, so well bodied and sound in action. Whilst his head handles well I just edged the winner ahead in having that shade better weighted muzzle. 3 Dyer’s Ch Oberitz Curiousity at Javara.
GCD (1) 1 Trendle’s Lusam Cheeky Boy heavily coated and substantial chap with an all male headpiece, kind eye and good ears. Really well ribbed and bodied, shows his head off and strutted his stuff with style and confidence.
VB (2) Headed by two inveterate Veterans in A1 order. The winner is 14 and the runner up 13 years young. Both belie their age in every way, their body, coat and condition is of great credit to their clearly besotted owners! What’s more they are excellent examples of the breed and must have made the going hot in their heyday. A delight to judge and I’m sure the ringside enjoyed them as much as I did.1 & BV Hill’s Edburton Llyngoes at Cyfelin 2 Trendle’s Ch. Lusam Partry Popper
PB (3/1) 1 & BP Garwood’s Buffmaster Sunday Best such a cute little black Madam in every sense of the word. Takes the eye, almost dares you not to be impressed and I was more than happy to go over her. I liked her enormously, she is pretty headed , pert, well bodied, moved around the ring like she owned it and her coat was flawlessly presented. 2 Bennett’s Cyfelin Written In The Stars this sable was unlucky to meet the winner in such form. A size bigger all through but with a good head, pleasing eyes and ears, front legs need to be tighter in elbow on the stack but she sorts that out when moving. A credit in coat and balanced profile action.
JB (2) 1 Slack’s Fecimus One of Us ultra sound heavily coated sable in excellent coat and body condition. I liked her almost flat skull, modicum of stop decent length in mizzle and tight lips. I feel she would look better if she would lift her ears higher when posing. In good coat, well ribbed and correct tail. 2 Agar & Agar’s Musique Creme De La Creme this cream was so short of coat she was as naked as a Jay bird. I see is litter sister to the DCC winner and certainly has much to like. She is well constructed, this confirmed by her free striding sound action. Her head is good and she just needs to grow a coat to be a serious contender.
PGB (1) 1 Delve’s Claran Fernwhat a charmer this black is. Sweetest of heads and gorgeous expression. She has a good body, a wealth of coat and the tail is well set. Ears so well placed and carried and used non stop. Has a lust for life, on tiptoe of expectation throughout and she nipped around the ring with such sass and style. Could well go on to greater things.
LB (4) 1 & CC Grayer’s Radajasa’s Nacy Wake At Delgray another which came into the ring and simply dominated it with that air of class which is hard to find. I loved everything about her, her size, shape, that beautiful headpiece, neat little ears and that almost beguiling expression. Moved out so soundly and I was more than happy to give her her 1st CC to rapturous applause!! Just needs a little more coat to complete the picture 2 Bradbury’s Wychlea In The Purple heaps to admire in this gleaming black bitch. On the move she almost floats, it is so effortless. Handling confirms she is well made, has a good head, skull be a shade flatter, loved her eyes and expression. For me she is a little lacking in bodyweight and when fill outs her frame she will be touch to beat. 3rd Moon’s Galvizach Ellexia For Hollirox
OB (7/3) 1st & Res CC Hall’s Nardik Inky Dinky Doo heavily coated chocolate/white parti which is a lovely size and shape. Personality plus, shows non stop, so compact, delightful head and expression, groomed to perfection and she seems a natural show off . Comes to life on the move, briskly shifting around the ring with an air of being something special. 2 Bradbury’s Ch Wychlea Purple Image this worthy Ch was unlucky to meet the winner in such dazzling form. In full excellently presented coat she is a very good example of the breed. Not quite using her ears as effectively as the winner and I felt she was a fraction narrow in front coming towards me. 3 Mellor’s Nirvana Sunset at Bellapip GCB (1) 1st Trendle’s Lusam Toodle Pip ShCM this sable was unfortunately without any breeches aft which completely altered her look. She has a nice head, kind eyes, very good ears and has a light, free stride as she moves around the ring. Just hope her coat grows back soon!
