East of England Championship show 6^th July 2023
German Spitz Kleins,
Not the largest entry in number, but was pleased with my overall winners, this is a breed that will always be close to my heart and I thank east of England for inviting me to judge, and to the sporting exhibitors for their entries.
Puppy Dog 2 (1Abs)
1^st Ms K Andrew, Claran Court Your Breath, 9 month old cream male who stood alone in this class, he has a beautiful correct head, with correctly set ears and lovely dark well shaped eyes, good pigment, well shaped muscle and correct dentition. He has enough neck leading to well placed shoulders and tidy front with good feet, he has a level top line and a good tail set, well angulated rear which showed in his steady movement loved his overall outline, he is carrying a good coat of correct texture, pleased to award him best puppy in breed and the reserve dog CC, I find him an exciting prospect and will watch his show career with interest.
Junior Dog 2
1^st Pearce and Francis, Longsdales Luv Me More, Cream, presented in first class order as always from this kennel, good for make and shape and overall balance, and in correct harsh coat, he has a well proportioned head with correct ear size and shape, and lovely dark eyes, good pigment and correct dentition, he has enough neck and well placed shoulders, correct front with good feet, level topline and well set tail, moved true fore and aft.
2^nd L Rogersons, Nosregor Take It All, 1 year old black, and his immaturity showed up against the winner, but still has many attributes to admire, he has a lovely head with the darkest eyes, great pigment and small neat ears, he has a good neck, would just prefer a tad more shoulder angulation, He has a level topline and presents a good overall outline, with enough coat of correct texture, just not quite as settled on the move as the winner today.
Limit Dog 1
1^st Pearce and Francis, Longsdales Cesar Chance, Sable of 2 years, in cracking coat and condition, with a pleasing head, correct eye and ears, with good pigment, he has a correct front with correct feet, good neck and correct lay of shoulder, level topline and well set tail, good coat texture, moved well if a little busy, im sure he has a very bright future.
Open Dog 3
1^st Pearce and Francis, Ch Longsdales Blame It On Me, 5yr old cream, in smashing form, everything in the right place, lovely spitz head, good eye ear and pigment, this kennel has a habit of keep producing the stars, he is made so well and moved so effortlessly, and his full harsh double coat is the icing on the cake, presented well, delighted to award him the dog CC.
2^nd Grayers, Ch Radajasas Henri Fiocca at Delgray, Another beautiful lad in tip top condition and so well presented, good head, darkest of pigment, well shaped eye, and well set ears, good muzzle and correct dentition, enough neck, and good topline, well set tail and good angles front and rear, just couldn’t quite match the movement of the winner, but is a worthy Ch male,
3^rd Bradbury Peck and Davies, Wychlea Percy Vehere.
Puppy Bitch 1
1^st Bagshaws Pommary New Beginning, 11 months old sable that is very rangy all through, she has an ok head, a very sparce coat and at the moment needs time to develop, movement not easy to assess due to her really not wanting to cooperate with her handler, she would benefit from a good ringcraft.
Junior Bitch 1
1^st Pearce and Francis, Longsdales Remember Me, Brown of smaller make, lovely outline enough coat for her young age, she has a great head with good ears eyes and pigment, good neck and correct angulation front and rear, tight feet, correct coat texture, level topline and good tailset, she has attitude in spades, and look forward to seeing her when she is mature, im sure she will have a bright future.
Open Bitch 3
1^st Rogersons, Nosregor Sister Sledge, Cream of delightful type, took me back 30 years, she has a lovely well balanced head with good ears well set, correct shaped eyes and good pigment, correct neck, well placed shoulders with good angulation, level topline, correct tail set and well made rear, she isn’t dripping in coat but what she has is in pristine condition and well presented, showing her beautiful outline and balance, she moved well and was sympathetically handled, I was delighted to award her the bitch CC and BOB and even more delighted to learn it was her 3rd and therefore gives her her title.
2^nd Pearce and Francis Ch Longsdales No More The Fool, Lovely girl of similar make and shape and a lot of the same accolades apply, she just coundnt quite match the rear movement of the winner today, but still a beautiful worthy Ch.
3^rd Ferrys Ch Longsdales Little Bird with Ferrybelle.
Veteran Bitch 1
1^st Pearce and Francis Ch Longsdales Dilemma, No dilemma here she is german spitz through and through, lovely black of great make and shape, in full correct coat, lovely head with dark well shaped eye and small well set ears, good neck, well laid shoulders, level topline and well agled rear, belies her age on the move and she had to have the re bitch CC and best veteran, was so pleased to hear she went on to Best Veteran In Show.
