My thanks to the German Spitz Club of GB for the invitation to judge the 26th Championship show, which I thoroughly enjoyed. Breed clubs are the backbone of all breeds and their shows should be about bringing together the very best exhibits for all to appreciate and admire, no matter the differences between the people. It shows the strength not only of the organising club but the breed and it’s future prospects. I found the show to be well organised and a lovely atmosphere. The last time I judged the club’s show was before the breed received C. C status, the entry was enormous in Klein and Mittel and the quality high. Times have changed in all breeds and we all should be grateful that we can continue to get enjoyment from what to most is a hobby.  Today I felt Mittel to be the far stronger size both in numbers and quality, I hope they soon become equal. It was also pleasing that I did not find one case of slipping patella.  I was extremely pleased with both line ups in the respective challenges and looking at the veterans demonstrates they are a long lasting and amazing show dog.  My thanks to my most efficient steward, I wish the breed and you all every success for the future.

Klein DogS
(2) 1 Bagshaw Shiva’s Step to Kingdom (Imp Bgr) NAF TAF. 8 month pleasing youngster with balanced wedge shape head and nice ear set. Correct length to height, rear angulation, shoulders, bone and feet. Now needs to tighten in movement that I hope will improve with maturity. 2 Lampen & Wilson Rosco’s Hurricane. 10 mth with balanced head but a shade round in skull, scores in eye, ears and expression. Nice front, rear and correct feet. At this time just lacks the overall balance of winner and does need to settle more on the move.
J  (2) 1  Halls Crystalclear Bobbee Dazzler (IKC) Nice head, eye shape and underjaw. Ears nicely set but a shade large. Nice balanced body of correct depth. Muscled moderate hindquarters, good forequarters bone and correct feet. Moves with freedom and purpose. 2 Andrews Claran Edge of Glory on the ground standing this young black dog looked outstanding, but sadly something really did today worry him on the table and in movement which I hope he will soon overcome.
G (2) 1. Bagshaw's Dream Team Stars Infinite Power (Imp Bgr) NAF TAF Pleasing overall 19 mth youngster, attractive balanced head, nice eye and ear shape giving very true breed expression. Liked his length to height balance, correct neck and fitment, level topline. Good rear and forequarters bone and feet. Moved correct in rear but does need to tighten up a shade more in front movement. Presented in excellent condition.
L (2) 1 Moores Dream Team Stars Irresistibly Black (Imp Blg) Very much lives up to and looks like his name Stars. Head of correct balance and shape, good underjaw. Good ear size, shape and nicely set. Ample neck for overall balance, level topline body shape and depth with moderate tuck up. Well muscled and moderate hindquarters. Liked this lad’s front, bone and correct feet and he moves very true front, rear and side. 2/ Lampen & Wilson Melitabe Orion von Rosco Presented in excellent coat and body condition. Comes into his own on movement coming and going. Lost out to winner on head balance and expression but he does have excellent mouth and underjaw.
O (2) 1/  Res C.C Chambers Ch Bemojo Pearls of Wisdom at Musique. Quality four years old that ticks all the boxes. Excels in head for shape, eyes, ears and superb expression, Correct length of neck that fits correctly, level topline, excellent body shape with correct depth and loin. Nice tailset, muscled moderate hindquarters. Correct in shoulders, tight elbows, straight heavy bone, front nice, tight feet. Moves with purpose and a natural freedom. Presented in excellent condition. 2  Francis, Pearce, Williams & Davies Longsdale’s Dance with Me Trebettyn JW. Liked his size and overall balance, level topline, good tailset, firm moderate hindquarters. Scores well in front which all fits correctly, correct for bone and feet. Like winner moves with purpose and pressed hard but felt he lost out to winner in head and expression.
Ch D. (3) 1. 1 Grayer Ch Radajasas Henri Fiocca at Delgray. Outstanding five year old that is not overdone in any way and most certainly lives up to the name Henri Fiocca (résistance leader world war two and one of Marseille’s leading families). His head does have all the qualities the standard calls for, perfection in overall balance, correct tail set, moderate yet muscled hindquarters, excellent forequarters, tight elbows, straight correctly boned front and true cat feet. Moved with soundness and style. Pleased to judge such quality and award him the C.C; B.O.B and R.B.I.S. 2  Chambers  Ch Musique Born Legacy. Six year old that is very much full of it. Liked his compact balanced shape, excels in front with tight elbows straight front, nice tight feet. Most pleasing head, good underjaw, excellent pigment and expression. Correct rear, presented in excellent coat and condition, moved true coming, going and side.

Klein Bitches
P
1  Becks’, Rosco’s Breeze. Best Klein puppy of 10 mths with pleasing overall balance and outline. Feminine wedge head, correct eye, correct moderate hindquarters, nice for bone but needs to tighten in elbows which will improve front movement. Happy temperament but now needs to settle to the job in hand when on the move.
G   1 Cheyney-Wiles, Fecimus Butter Me Up. Pleasing head that is balanced with nice moderate stop, high ear set, alert expression. Nice bite and underjaw. Square in body shape with correct depth thus giving good outline. Liked topline and tailset but would like a tad more rear angulation and better front feet. Presented in good coat and body condition.
PGB  (2,1) 1/ Saunders’, Delgrays Bootylicious at Brookwell. 4-year-old of nice overall balance and presented in nice body and coat condition. Head maybe a tad long in foreface for perfect balance, nice eye shape and colour along with well set ears all giving a correct expression. Nice body balance and shape, moderate rearquarters, nice feet and bone. Moved a shade close behind and front movement just tends to toe in.
L  (4, 2) 1/ Holmes’ Longsdale’s Miss Holmes. 3-year-old honest lady, with good head balance, eye, ear set and expression. Nice neck which flows into a well shaped body, correct for depth, correct in loin, topline and tailset OK. Muscled moderate hindquarters. Well constructed forequarters elbows tight, straight front, cat feet. Moved true front, rear and side. Presented in firm condition and coat. Handled by what seemed a fairly newcomer; I considered her total honesty in today’s competition and well worthy of the C.C. 2  Rogerson Nosregor Easy On Me. 3-year-old with well balanced wedge shaped head, correct in eye shape. Good overall body balance, fore and rearquarters. On the day preferred winners ear set and movement.
O  (2,1) 1 Hickson’s, Claran Court of Delights at Kichigai. This 19th mth youngster was very full of herself, maybe thinking she was in the playground. While she did prove difficult to judge she seemed to have a pleasing nice balanced head, dark correct shape eyes, correct shaped ears well set. Good for body balance, correct tuck up and tailset. Nice for bone but would like better feet. One I felt could have pressed a lot harder.
Ch B (1) 1/ Rogerson’s, Ch Nosregor Sister Sledge RCC. Appealed very much for her quality head and expression, correct bite, underjaw and pigment. Ample neck well fitted that balanced her height to body, level topline at all times, correct tailset. Moderate hindquarters, nicely muscled. Excellent in forequarters elbows tight, straight nice bone. In the challenge I preferred the C.C winners feet and slightly wider rear movement.
