Judge Lyndsey Jones (Llwyni)

Thank you to the society for the kind invitation to judge at their general championship show. Thank you to my steward who kept the ring running smoothly and was great company. A huge thank you to all those who entered under me with their much-loved dogs, very much appreciated and luckily the weather stayed dry for us, even if we were all freezing!

Class 318 - Veteran Dog (1)

1st Trendle, Lusam Cheeky Boy. 11 year old cream boy, starting to show his age a little but could have shown some of the youngsters how to move around that ring! Solid boy all through, very well coated. Nice typical outline. Lovely head, with great eye & ear, to create a wonderful expression. Well placed shoulders, into straight well boned legs. Holding topline well, great high set tail. Strong hocks. Good honest mover. BVIB.

Class 319 – Puppy Dog (1)

1st Trendle & Hill, Fecimus We’re On The Ball TAF. 7 month old black, lively youngster. He did give his handler a bit of a hard time today. Lovely outline, Slightly longer than tall, with great length of neck. Lovely eye colour and shape, skull shape ok. The smallest of erect ears. Good spring of rib already. Level topline, correct high set tail. Very well coated, may make him look a little stuffy at times. Movement difficult to assess, but saw just enough of a sound parallel gait.

Class 320 – Junior Dog (2)

1st Andrew, Claran Edge of Glory. 13 month old black handsome dog with the ideal outline. Wonderful head and skull with a lovely dark oval eye. Good forechest and spring of rib. Elbows tight to body. Lovely cat-like feet. Short strong loin. High set tail. Moved very well.

2nd Hall, Crystalclear Bobbee Dazzler (IKC) 10 month old Orange Sable dog of lovely type. Nice head proportions, good eye. Well set ears, although a little tall. Good length of neck into well placed shoulders. Nice amount of bone, standing on good tight feet. Short level back into a high set plumed tail. Moved precisely, like he’s been doing it for years. BPD.

Class 322 – Open Dog (3)

1st Andrew, CH Claran Court Your Breath. 2 year old cream dog. My star of the day, absolutely loved everything about him! The most wonderful of expressions, he knew he owned that ring today! Perfectly compact body of the most exquisite outline, that he always retained during his effortless, brisk movement. Could not deny him BD & BOB.  

2nd Francis, Pearce, Williams & Davies, Longsdale’s Dance With Me Trebettyn JW. 2 year old sable dog. Outstanding outline and type. Loved his overall proportions. Nice dark eyes, although a little round. Good neck into well placed shoulders. Good forechest. Straight, well boned forelegs into lovely tight cat-like feet. Well bodied with a lovely short muscular loin. High set tail. Moved well. Lots to like! RBD.

3rd Huntley, Fecimus Brother Bear at Puidelup JW.

Class 323 - Veteran Bitch (3,2)

1st Trendle, Lusam Toodle Pip ShCM. 13.5 year old wolf sable bitch. Defying her age! The most beautiful of heads, with a lovely dark oval eye. Well bodied all through, maybe a touch too well bodied in areas, but she moved around the ring like a youngster! Great bone. Very well coated. Did drop her tail on the stand, which did coat her in the Best Veteran challenge. A real credit to her owner.

Class 324 – Puppy Bitch (3)

1st  Green, Fecimus It’s Coming Home at Grovevalley. 9 month old gold bitch. Extremely pretty. A lovely eye and ear. Nose Pigment ok. Good for overall size, everything in proportion. Correct forechest. Very well developed for one of her young age. Good spring of rib. Level topline. High set tail. Effortless, precise mover. BB, BOS & BPIB.

2nd Beck, Rosco’s Breeze. 7 month old Cream sable with black mask. Very much a puppy, but loved her overall outline. Lovely expression. Dark oval eye. Ears a little wide set. Correct amount of neck, into good straight forelegs. Tight feet. Level topline, with a high set tail. Rather distracted on the move, the grass was much more interesting. Very well coated.

3rd Huntley, Nymeria Brown Gentle Barbarian at Puidelup.
