KLEIN Many thanks to exhibitors for the time and trouble they had in preparing their dogs for exhibition. In both sizes of Spitz I was a little concerned that some dogs growled at me when on the table, or were reluctant to be handled. So many of the dogs we breed are sold as pets that I believe temperaments to be very important indeed, and those that showed a lapse had to pay the Penalty.

PD. (4). 1. Morgan’s, Kismet the Maestro. Black and tan in good puppy coat. Well made and very sound on the move. 2. Gillies’, Kartmel Dark Angel. Wolf sable baby. Just right for age. Another well constructed pup, moving as soundly and confidently as if her were a Veteran. 3. McDonald’s, Kismet the Kraken of Glandonald. Another promising puppy. Litter brother to the winner.

JD. (2). 1. Serman’s, Tymy Tic Toc. Very sound dog as I expect from this kennel. In full puppy coat, not yet lost. Pleasing head, eye and expression. Moved well.

PGD. (2). 1. Trendle’s, Lusam Tuff Talkin’. 2. Jones’s, Lusam Zeus. Two soundly made dogs, both moving with style and grace. The second was in the better coat, but rumbled me on the table, and had to pay the price.

LD. (4). 1. Allison’s, Terelatim Windy Miller. A quality Spitz, who is naughty and plays around on the move, but evetually settled. 2. Jones’s, Rossfort Cream Cracker. A very sound dog. Strong on the move, but fails to winner in coat quality. 3. Quayle’s, Kartmel Vianden.

OD. (11). 1. Serman’s, Roydenzone Cortese among Tymy. This fellow headed a lovely class where worthy dogs had to be left cardless. It is always delightful to find the progeny of a dog to whom you have given high honours doing well, and I had no difficulty in guessing this lad’s sire. He’s just as good as his father, a parti colour in amazing coat, beautifully put down. Moving with style and grace. Super head, eye and expression. Half expected to give him BOB but he did not mave as well in the challenge as he did in the class. CC. 2. Trendle’s, Lusam Charlie Dobby. Another very sound dog in good coat, but he failed to winner in eye. Chris tells me this dog was named after her father. He would have been proud of him on the day. RCC. 3. Allison’s, Terelatim Joe Bloggs.

PB. (6). 1. Kimber and Bridgen’s, Stonelight Giselle. Slightly big in ear, but otherwise good head and expression with a lovely eye. Good size and excellent coat quality. Soundly made, moving well. 2. MacPherson’s, Kismet Sherherazade. Attractive colouring on this smaller bitch, but lacking the coat quality of winner. Well constructed, moving with style and grace. 3. Hughes’s, Lusam Lucy in the Sky over Candease.

JB. (2). 1. Mole’s, Molead Magic Spell. 11 months old puppy though in Junior. Good coat, black as coal with super head, eye and expression. Very sound little bitch, moving well. BP.

PGB. (4). 1. Allison’s, Holbain Cinders of Oberitz. Another good black with most pleasing head, eye and expression. Strong movement, covering the ground freely. 2. Trendle’s, Lusam Super Spats. A very sound bitch, moving well, but in bikini-style on the day. 3. Kettel-White’s, Kempsona Candy Calypso.

LB. (5). 1. Furber’s, Holbian Heaven Sent. Parti colour bitch in excellent coat as to both quality and quantity. Lovely head, eye and expression. Soundly constructed, which along with her excellent muscle, gave strong and elegant movement. BCC and BOB. 2. Dickinson’s, Terendak Bubble Cream with Polielin. Well bred and well made bitch with lovely eye and expression. Good quality coat. Unlucky to meet the winner. 3. Serman’s, Shetlock Infatuation among Tymy.

OB. (7). 1. Trendle’s, Lusam Beatty Romance. Black with super shape, so short coupled. Pleasing eye and expression. Very sound and covering the ground well. RCC. 2. Cook’s, Ch. Chilite Charisma Goldritz. Longer cast than the winner, but very sound and moving well. Cream in beautiful coat, and so well presented. 3. Furber’s, Holbain Snow Fox.
