GERMAN SPITZ

KLEIN The quality of the dogs in both sizes was stronger in the upper classes with Kleins overall being better than mittels. I was however pleased with my class and especially my ticket winner. The Klein Limit dog class being exceptionally strong. Movement was not easy to asses as no dogs were helped in movement by the condition of the ring, and the weather with all the noise of and in the tent was certainly a test of temperament of all the dogs. A few were unsettled but the majority took it in their stride. Dogs were generally well presented and most teeth were clean.

MPD. (3). 1. Hole’s, Molead Moon Beam. 7 months old orange dog. Nice size and bone for age. Good rear end but needs to steady in movement. 2. Hawker’s, Chilite Smokin Joe. Cream close up to the winner. Nice head and expression with correct stop. Good body. Moved well but tended to stop tail spoiling outline and overall balance. 3. Avery’s, Kartmel It’n a Bit.

PD. (4). 1. Furber’s, Holbain Kenmilquin Scooby. BPD. Profuse coat could be slightly harsher in texture. Well set tail. Good head well filled muzzle and lovely well placed almond eye. Sound construction, free mover. 2. Penwarne’s, Runfold Kestrel. Chocolate of nice size. Was unsettled on the day. Well laid shoulders with good neck correctly set. Well placed ears and tail. Stood square. 3. Hinton’s, Oberitz Pearl Diver.

JD. (2). 1. Kimber and Bridgen’s, Wychlea Ludo at Stonelight. Lovely black of 17 months. Stood square. Good head and foreface with nice dark eye. Well placed ears and good tailset. 2. Furber’s, Holbain Kenmilquin Scooby.

PGD. (5). 1. Hill’s, Chilite Blue Chip at Cygelin. RCC. Square in outline. Stood well and moved positively. Deceptive as to size, but a very balanced short coupled dog. Good head pattern. 2. Holmes’s, Holbain Shimmer. Cream of correct size in good coat. Nice head and expression. Good legs and feet. Slightly longer in back than the winner. 3. Gillies’, Kartmel Dark Angel.

LD. (9). 1. Naylor’s, Terendak Bubble Top. CC. Cream dog beautifully presented in good harsh coat. Balanced throughout. Good pigment with dark well placed eye. Good bone and free mover. Well set tail. Good mover coping well with difficult ring conditions. 2. Trendle’s, Lusan Tuff Talkin’. Good head with flat back skull, larger ears than I like which detracts from the head as a whole. Good body with nice upper arm and lay of shoulder. Moved soundly. 3. Highmoor’s, Kartmel Legolas.

OD. (4). 1. Grayer’s, Ch. Terendak Irish Cream at Delgray. Well known cream Champion beautifully presented in excellent coat and condition. Good dark pigment. Well set tail. Easy mover. 2. Furber’s, Holbain Smudge. 3. Hill’s, Grovelyn Montgomery.

MPB. (6). 1. Johnson’s, Dourhu Chocaholic. Chocolate and white baby just coming into good coat. Nice outline showed like a veteran. Good head with well defined stop. Tail carried well over back. Nice straight front and neat feet. 2. Metcalfe’s, Flactem Four Pleasure. Good head and expression, neat ears. Finer in bone than the winner. Movement needs to settle. 3. Melville’s, Kartmel Satin ‘n’ Lace.

PB. (6). 1. Serman’s, Toemakileins Ticktick by Ty-My. BP. Stood well in outline, young black and silver bitch just coming into coat. Good head and expression. Finer in type but did not detract from her quality. Well carried tail. 2. Allison’s, Oberitz Firestarter. Slightly long in back but still a nice bitch. Good bone with nice legs and feet did not move as soundly as the winner but still a baby and uneven ring did not help. 3. Taylor and Bonser’s, Bonneavid Could she be Magic.

JB. (4). 1. Hawker’s, Chilite Savannah. RCC. Lovely bitch in excellent coat and condition. Good balanced head with nicely filled muzzle and true Spitzy expression. Good construction both fore and aft. 2. Andrew’s, Roydenzone Roxanne from Runfold. Quality bitch who needs to settle in the ring. Sound throughout with good straight front and nice drive from the rear. Good head and underjaw. Good tail carriage. 3. Dawson’s, Rimazet Velda.

PGB. (9). 1. Temple’s, Rimazet Zephyr. Well presented feminine black bitch in good coat. Could lose some weight to advantage. Neat well placed ears, good head and expression. Good front. Moved well. 2. Metcalfe’s, Rimazet Co Co Chanel of Flactem. Another nice bitch. Good bone with nice outline. Well set tail. Moved very well. 3. Hughes’s, Lusam Lucy in the Sky over Candease.

LB. (3). 1. Temple’s, Rimazet Zephyr. 2. Avery’s, Kartmel Breezer. Black with good outline. Stood and moved well. Good head and expression with well carried ears. Good well rounded body. 3. Serman’s, Shetlock Infatuation among Ty-My.

OB. (8). 1. Gillies’, Kartmel Whirlwind. CC and BOB. Black in sparkling coat and condition who really made her handler work hard for everything. Lovely head with well placed ears that she wasn’t always keen to use. Nice bone and body. Moved well. Quality could not be denied and pleased to give her her first CC. 2. Taylor and Bonser’s, Dourhu Black Velvet. Nice bitch with a good head and neck. Well presented sound throughout. Not always settled in the not pleasant weather condition. 3. Furber’s, Holbain Heaven Sent.
