Critique

Although not a large entry I was very pleased with the overall quality of dogs entered under me in both sizes. Only one Klein and one Mittel did not go under the measure and only two had bites which could have been more positive. Most had clean teeth and the majority were beautifully presented although a couple would have been improved by thorough grooming. Construction overall was better in both sizes than when I last judged the breed with good front and rear assembly in the majority of dogs; however some are tending to move very close behind which will need to be watched. The ring itself did not help with assessing movement especially in Kleins as the grass was long with bumps and dips as well as bald patches. Klein German Spitz.

PD. 1-Serman’s Tymy Tymajusting. Youngster still coming into coat. Nice body with correct bone. Good head and eye placement. Well presented. 2-Highmoor’s Printzagems Ebby. Very nice young wolf sable pressed the winner hard could carry more weight to advantage. Lovely harsh coat. Well balanced, good tail set.

PGD. 1-Gillies’ Kartmel Dark Angel. Nice dark eye with good flat back skull. Good bite. Nice front angulation but persisted in not standing true although the ground did not help. Lacking in substance but nice and square in outline.

LD. 1-Kimber & Bridgen’s Wychlea Ludo at Stonelight. DCC. Black dog in excellent coat and condition. Beautifully moulded foreface with well placed dark eye. Balanced throughout. Good tail set moved easily. 2-Chambers’ Nosregor Hot Shot for Musique. Chocolate in lovely coat of correct texture. Appears long but needs to be handled to be appreciated. Well constructed good front with neat feet. Nice eye placement would have preferred not quite so much width in back skull. 3-Serman’s Tymy Tic Toc.

OD. 1-Highmoor’s Kartmel Legolas. RDCC Black in gleaming condition. Lovely head and eye. Good front and neat feet. Occasionally let his tail slip which spoilt his overall outline. Good body and depth of rib. 2-Furber’s Holbain Smudge. Black & White particolour different type to the winner. Very sound dog profuse harsh stand off coat tends to hide his outline. Good eye and ear placement. Well set tail. Good mover. 3-Johnston’s Dourhu Dynamic. Klein German Spitz.

PB. 1- Kimber & Bridgen’s Stonelight Octavia. BP. Very glamorous cream with lovely dark pigment. Neat ears well placed. Good body with well set tail. Moved well. I would prefer a larger head but still a quality baby who will do a lot of winning. 2- Bradbury’s Wychlea Yettah Gain. Black in lovely coat and condition. Good front, neat well placed ears. Correct square outline. Enjoying her day out. 3-Morgan’s Lusam Love in the Mist.

JB. 1-Allison’s Orion Chocolate Brownie of Terelatim. RBCC Feminine chocolate bitch balanced throughout. Neat ears on top of head. Good coat and condition long grass didn't help movement in this class but she settled in the challenge and moved ok.

NB. 1-Bradbury Wychlea Yettah Gain. Second in Puppy bitch.

PGB. 1-Carr’s Kimbacrests Krystal. Very feminine cream bitch in good coat and condition. Correct eye and neat ears well on top of her head. Good tail set. 2-Kettle-White’s Kempsona Candy Calypso. Chocolate long in back and pushing the measure. Flat coat lacking undercoat. Moved very well.

LB. 1-Avery’s Kartmel Breezer. Very nice black bitch a little less weight would improve. Lovely head and expression. Good legs and feet. Balanced throughout, a quality bitch. 2-Serman’s Shetlock Infatuation Among Tymy. Cream bitch with nice head pattern. Good expression and well rounded muzzle. Correct angulation with good front. Moved soundly. Lacked coat today. 3-Sheasby’s Edburton Hint of a Tint with Wychlea.

OB. 1-Trendle’s Lusam Beattie Romanze. BCC & BOB. This was definitely her day. She was on top form moving beautifully around the ring and co-operating completely with her handler at all times. Good coat of correct texture beautifully presented. Nice head with flat back skull. Well set tail correctly carried high over her back. Well constructed. Balanced throughout. Best mover of the day. 2-Furber’s Holbain Heaven Sent. Black & White particolour. Very sound bitch not as feminine as the winner. Moved well round the ring. 3-Temple’s Rimazet Zephr. Mittel German Spitz.
