Critique
My first appointment with one of my favourite spitz breeds. I was unhappy to find a bad mouth in nearly every class. Some of the fronts were very narrow. Temperaments were good generally with a couple of fey bitches and one who took exception to me.
PD (1,0). 1 Holmes Chilite Black Tie. A shaded black mature dog puppy who challenged the measure. Lovely head type and good ear set. Very well coated well boned and sound enough on the move. Just too much all over.
JD (3,0). 1 Parden Desaria Sky Lark Mit Dunbrook. Well coated and presented Fawn/sable. Good bone with one of the better fronts today. Glamorous boy with a good tail set. Shorter in muzzle than I prefer. Moved ok. 2 Serman Tymy Tymajusting. A lovely shaded black, smaller all over than 1, who had left his coat at home. Needs to body up generally. Well shaped and balanced head with good eye. Brisk stride. Very Promising. 3 Mole Molead Moon Beam.
PGD (4,1). 1 Penwarne Runfold Kestrel at Sheldamar. A short coupled brown of good proportions. Tightly knit loin ensured a brisk collected gait. Pins in a little in front. Lovely head with pigment commensurate with his colour. 2 Holmes Holbain Shimmer. Big coated cream boy. Good bone. Good tail set. Not moving on a straight plane. 3 Hinton Oberitz Pearl Diver.
LD (6,0). 1 Andrew Under Lyon D'Arlande at Roydenzone (Imp). An exhuberant boy not in full coat but very spitzy in overall proportions, having a good leg length and short coupling. Head was a little slight for a male, but his brisk action, when he settled was very typical. A dog that enjoys life! 2 Trendle Lusam Tuff Talkin. A hard muscled dog that excels in body and bone. Goes under the measure easily, as did most today. Tightly knit loin ensured a collected gait. Shorter muzzle than I prefer. 3 Potts Flactem Reflections mit Rimazet.
OD (3,0). 1 Penwarne Wychlea Master of Arts Sh.CM. Loved the overall proportions of this brown boy. Good leg length, short coupling and hard muscling ensured a sound brisk gait. Lovely wedge head shape with a pleasing eye and ear set. Adequate bone for size. DCC, BOB and shortlisted in the Group where he showed himself to advantage. 2 Kimber & Bridgen Ch Wychlea Ludo at Stonelight. This black handles so well on the table. Excels in bone and body shape. Moved ok. Really not in the mood today, but showed just enough at the last minute to get the RCC. 3 Parden Limburg City Slicker mit Dunbrook Sh.CM.
VD (1,0). 1 Allison Chilite Nitelite For Oberitz. So well presented, this young veteran showed so well. Shaded Black. Moved well and was handled to advantage. Seriously considered him in the Challenge.
PB (5,0). 1 Reynolds Biddle Sweet Like Chocolate. Mature looking liver/white bitch with a big glamorous coat. Appealing head and neat ears. Well boned for a girl. Very sound both ends. Would prefer a shorter coupling. BP. 2 Goodwin Roydenzone Just Jay. Different type. Very sweet expression on this black girl who had left her coat at home. Good length of leg. And good tail set. Needs to body up al over. Brisk action. Narrow front. 3 Hayward Don't Look Back.
JB (3,0). 1 Gittoes Molead Moon Dust of Jendale. Shaded black. Heavy in the head but she excels in body and action. Very square outline. Enough coat and good tail set. 2 Sheasby Wychlea Oh Faye With Baobab. So much to like about this bitch, but her coat condition was not good. Well shaped typical head. Excellent body. Good action both ends. Stood squarely. Carrying a little too much weight. 3 Metcalfe Flactem Four Pleasure.
PGB (8,2). 1 Blake Deilafear Prosperina. Lovely head and ear set on this black. A solid bitch with hard muscle who handles well on the table. Tightly knit loin. Well coated but with a tendancy to wave. 2 Salisbury Teomakleins Lady Penelope. Smaller shaded black. Finer boned as befits her size. Quite solid in her body. Good action. Good tail set 3 Serman Teomaklein Tick Tick by Tymy.
LB (4,2). 1 Salisbury Teomakleins Rustic Dude. Well coated cream sable. Good depth of body but long loin. Larger eye than preferred. Good well coated tail. 2 Sheasby Edburton Hint of a Tint with Wychlea. Orange sable girl. Not moving well. Head proportions with almond eye did not appeal. Good body.
OB (6,2). 1 Metclafe Rimazet Co Co Chanel of Flactem. A well coated shaded brown with pigment to match. Good to handle on the table with hard muscling and good bone. Moved well back and front. Perhaps a little heavier in the head than preferred for a bitch but her other conformation qualities and square outline swayed the decision for me. CC. 2 Trendle Ch Lusam Beattie Romanze. Another well coupled bitch in hard condition which showed in her positive action. Smaller than 1. Good bone and a solid body. Shone with health. RCC. 3 Parden Dunbrook Bedazzled.
