Critique

KLEIN My sincere thanks to the South Wales committee for a most enjoyable day, the hard working stewards and to the exhibitors for their support.

MPD. (2). 1. Allison’s, Edburton Cadan for Oberitz. Cobby wolf sable of 7 months with good head shape, dark eye and correct bite but would prefer a little less stop. Almost square body with straight forelegs, moderate rear angulation and high set tail. Moved soundly coming and going. 2. Johnston’s, Dourhu Sensay Shaumal. Cream of 6 months. Still very much a baby. In good coat and condition. Nice head with good pigmentation. Dark well set eye and good wedge. Not so confident on the move as winner but still carried his tail well.

PD. (2). 1. Metcalfe’s, Flactem Domino. Very attractive black and white parti colour with a massive coat of good texture, which makes him appear larger than he is, but he goes comfortably under the measure. Liked his head and expression. Plenty of bone and substance. Good forefront, short coupled, nice hindquarters and tailset. Moved briskly keeping a level topline. One to watch. BP. 2. Hutcheson-Boyle’s, Timberwolf Velvet Moon Del Vocerode. Chocolate sable of good proportions, but would prefer a little more substance which should come as he matures. Pleasing head pattern with compatible pigment and eye colour. Moving slightly close in front but another nice puppy.

JD. (3). 1. Hill’s, Emz Z Temnych Noci at Cyfelin (Imp). Loved this extrovert wolf sable with attractive masculine head, dark eyes and neat ears. Lovely bone, good chest, straight forelegs, tight elbows, well ribbed. Close coupled, good stifle and hocks. Moved soundly keeping a lovely outline and correct tail carriage. Stood four square with a level topline. Should have a bright future. RCC. 2. Serman’s, Tymy Tymajusting. Unlucky to meet winner on the day. Black of nice size and shape and with a coat of good texture. Head of good proportions, flat skull, good wedge, dark eye and pigment, super mouth and nice expression. Compact body shape. Good spring of rib. Well handled and shown.

PGD. (4). 1. Penwarne’s, Runfold Kestrel at Sheldamar. Chocolate in good coat and condition with almost square shape and with good bone and substance. Good Spitz head with correctly placed ears, obliquely set eyes and compatible pigmentation. Good front and shoulder. Nice underline and tuck up. Moderate rear angulation and neat cat feet. 2. Morgan’s, Kismet the Maestro. Black and tan. Smaller than winner but perfectly in proportion. Head with dark eye, neat ears and pleasing expression. Alert and moving briskly keeping a level topline and good profile. Well presented and in good coat. 3. Dyer’s, Wychlea Sailor Vee at Javarm.

LD. (3). 1. Trendle’s, Lusam Tuff Talkin. Won this class on movement. Wolf sable in hard muscular condition. Soundly constructed with compact body. Well ribbed up. Straight forelegs, tight elbows and strong hindquarters. Head with flat skull, dark eye but would prefer a neater ear. A very sound dog with typical Spitz buoyancy. 2. Jones’s, Lusam Zeus. Another nice wolf sable with well shaped head, neat ears, well set eyes and good length of muzzle. Close coupled, almost square body. Straight front, good moderate rear angulation and straight hocks. In super coat and condition and moved well. Looked good in profile standing foursquare. 3. Serman’s, Tymy Tic Toc.

OD. (7). Super class of males, thank you for bringing them. 1. Wright’s, Ch. Orion Mirror Image. Outstanding dog of ideal size and shape. I last judged him 5 years ago at the GS Club Show and gave him BP. He has matured so well and has that extra charisma and is the complete showman. Lovely head, correct length of muzzle, neat ears and expressive eyes. Sound, well muscled body with correct construction, neat cat feet. So well presented and shown. In super coat and condition. Typical confident brisk movement. Well deserved CC and BOB. 2. Dickinson’s, Terendak Bubble Baileys. Another lovely cream in huge offstanding coat of correct texture. Attractive masculine head with super expression and good pigment. Well boned and sound conformation. Carrying a little more weight which affected his movement in the challenge. 3. Kimber and Brigden’s, Ch. Wychlea Ludo at Stonelight.

MPB. (3). 1. Hill’s, Edburton Llyngoes at Cyfelin. Attractive sable of 7 months in good coat of correct texture. Nice feminine head with dark eye and good ear carriage. Almost square body with good bone, straight front, moderate hind angulation. Neat cat feet. Moved well keeping a level topline and high tailset. 2. Johnston’s, Dourhu Miss Dynamite. Black of 6 months. Still very much a baby and a little unsure of herself. When she gets more confidence in the ring, will carry her tail higher. Good head pattern with neat ears, good length of muzzle, correct dentition and sweet expression. In lovely coat.

PB. (3). 1. Allison’s, Oberitz Fairy Majic. Cream sable of 11 months. Slightly lacking in coat which made her appear longer than she is, as she is quite compact but could do with a little more substance. Pretty feminine head with nice expression and good mouth. Took awhile to settle but when she did moved ok. Lovely temperament.

JB. (3). 1. Furber’s, Here I Come for Holbain. Parti colour in good coat of correct texture and moving briskly carrying her tail correctly. Close coupled. Good shoulders, well ribbed. Good bone and substance. Sweet feminine head with neat ears and well set eye. 2. Cook’s, Goldritz Sleepflower. Very striking white of 13 months who preferred to play, so movement was hard to assess. She has a very pretty head with the blackest pigment, an obliquely set dark eye and super mouth. Typical Spitz happy temperament. Coat texture a little soft at the moment but beautifully presented.

PGB. (4). 1. Dyer’s, Wychlea Mazie Fantazie. The best mover in the class. Black sable bitch in good coat of correct texture. Liked her head with well set small eye, neat ears and good length of muzzle to head. Ideal size and shape with good bone, straight forelegs and tight elbows. Moderate hind angulation and straight hocks. Kept a level topline and good tail carriage on the move. 2. Penwatne’s, Stonelight Ophelia at Sheldamar. Cream bitch of good construction. Feminine head with appealing expression, well shaped eyes, neat ears and super mouth. Another show moved soundly both ways and kept a good profile. Neat cat feet and in good coat. 3. Metcalfe’s, Flactem Four Pleasure.

LB. (4). 1. Hughes and Forrester’s, Dourhu Chocaholic at Candease. Brown and white parti colour. Well balanced construction with plenty of bone and substance. Head of good proportions with good wedge and correct pigmentation. In good coat and condition and moved true. 2. Williams’, Cwm Ogwr Monkey Puzzle. Sable bitch not i her best coat on the day, but what there was had good texture. Feminine head but would prefer a smaller ear, well shaped eye. Could do with more substance but has good brisk movement keeping a good outline. Well handled and nicely presented.

OB. (6). A super quality class of bitches. Thank you for bringing them. 1. Bradbury’s, Wychlea Aimy Vooh. A stunning feminine black bitch with a superb head with dark expressive eyes and sweet expression. Ideal size and shape with everything fitting together as it should which shows in her correct brisk movement. In lovely condition with a coat that shone. Well deserved CC. 2. Storm’s, Ch. Stormavon Spirit in the Sky. Another striking cream bitch in lovely coat and condition and beautifully put together. Feminine head with lovely expression, dark eye and neat ears. Another who moved superbly, a real show girl and so unlucky to meet the winner on the day. A top quality bitch. RCC. 3. Trendle’s, Ch. Lusam Beattie Romanze.
