Critique

Firstly Thank you to all exhibitors, I think most were pleased with my choices, I am very concerned about the temperament problem in Kleins, I remember years ago having judged and having to dismiss a Klein from the ring for aggression, and today I had to dismiss a Klein Dog and one other exhibitor quickly withdrew her bitch for the same reason, both trying to bite, this is not acceptable in any breed, but not at all typical in German Spitz. Another concern is mouths, missing teeth (premolars) and untidy bites.Wavy coats also creeping in, and movement especially behind is not good. Table work needs to be improved so that judges can go over your dogs properly, many were not used to a judge looking at their mouths, which brings me to the amount of dirty teeth I saw.This breed is minimum maintinence. I feel there is room for much needed improvement.

KLEIN:

PD (3,1a) 1 Johnston Dourhu Sensay Shaunal, 7 month old cream boy, still very much a baby, nice head and expresson, good mouth clean teeth, nice coat of correct texture, well laid tail, good front nice feet, a little loose behind when moving away but should tighten with age, overall nice puppy. 2 Metcalfe. Flactem Domino (Sorry rain ruined my notes for this dog).

JD (2,1a) 1 Hills Enzo Z Temnych Noci at Cyfelin (imp Cze) 15 Month old Black masked cream/sable dog,well presented in good coat of correct texture, nice head with expresson, good mouth, level topline with good tail set, nice body makes nice profile, movement needs attention, feet trimmed nicely but nails need attention also.

PGD (2,1a) 1 Serman Tymytmymajusting. 18 m Black/sable dog, nicely made, good head, nicely placed ears, well used, nice eye good neck set into good shoulders, level topline good tailset, good body, lovely correct straight well texured coat, makes a lovely picture in stance, nice front movement, needs to tighten behind, overall nice type will watch his progress with interest. RBD.

LD (2,1a) 1 Hills Chilite Blue Chip at Cyfelin 3.5 yr old Blue boy, lovely head, correct good mouth, well used ears, strong neck set into well placed shoulders, correct front, level topline well set tail, in good correct straight coat, lovely conditon, moved well.

OD (10,3a) 1 Wrights Ch Orion Mirror Image 6yr old cream dog of type, very much a showman, lovely to get my hands on such a well muscled male, nice head with correctly placed ears, correct Black pigmentation good shoulder, on a level firm topline, with good tail set, movement could have been better today, Best Dog (outmoved by BB for best of breed. 2 Kimber & Bridgen Ch Wychlea Ludo at Stonelight, 3.5 yr old Black dog, lovely type, correct head, nice eye well used ears,short neck set well into shoulders, level topline, nicely carried tail, in tip top condition, movement cost him the class. 3 Potts Flactem Reflections mit Rimazet.

PB (6) 1 Ruff's Holbain Here To Stay, Nearly 7 months old Chocolate/White parti Bitch, pretty feminine expression, nice mouth well used ears, well set neck firm topline, nice tail set, stands and shows well for one so younge, moved ok but needs to strenghten behind, coat of correct texture, nice body will watch her progress with interest, Best Puppy in Breed. 2 Andrew's Runfold Radiccio, 7 month old Black bitch, nice feminine head, lovely eye sweet expression nice mouth, clean teeth, very alert used ears well, level topline correct tail set, lovely correct coat in tip top condition presented immaculate movement a little irratic should improve with age, really liked this baby but needs to grow on. 3 Johnston's Dourho Miss Dynamite.

JB (3,1a) 1 Furber's Here I Come for Holbain 17 Month old Black/White parti Bitch, lovely head, nice eye correct mouth clean teeth very feminine, short neck set well into good shoulders, firm level topline correct tail set, coat just starting to blow, but was of good texture, nice type moved well. 2 Holland's Hilbain Hot Chocolate, 6 Month old Chocolate Bitch, sweet expression, well set ears, neck well set into shoulder, level topline, tail carried correctly, nice coat moved a little erratic needs to settle, will improve with age, unfortunately lost out in previous class due to untidy mouth.

PG (1) 1 Metcalfe's Flactem Four Pleasure 2 yr old orange/sable &white, sweet expression, nice eye good correct mouth, alert and responsive moved erratic.

LB (2,1a) 1 Andrew's Roydenzone Roxanne From Runfold, 2yr old Black/ Silver Bitch makes nice profile, feminine nice head good correct mouth,well used ears, level topline correct tail set, lovely coat in good condition, straight and stand off, showed well moved ok.

OB (4,2a) 1 Storm's Ch Stormvon Spirit In The Sky JW, 2 yr old Cream Bitch,very alert, very showy bitch, full attention on handler, sweet feminine expression, nice eye, good mouth, well placed and well used ears, short strong neck set well into good placed shoulder, level firm topline with high set tail, coat of good texure, enough substance, moved with drive Best Bitch & BOB. Well Done. 2 ermans Shetlock Infatuation Among Tymy, 3yr old cream/gold Bitch, not in full coat here, feminine with correct mouth,well placed ears, good neck nice shoulder palcement level topline with correctly set tail, good body moved paralell coming and going sound bitch which could very easily change places with winner on a different day, will watch her progress with interest, RES Best Bitch.
