May I say how depressed I felt after judging. Movement, especially in Kleins, is not good, with fronts being the main problem. Good movement was the exception rather than the rule. Mouths need watching, but temperament is still great, with only one or two exceptions. I also so miss the sight of all the pretty colours of yesteryear. As it doesn’t matter a jot what colour wqe produce can we not concentrate on the more important issues, like soundness?
KLEIN: MPD (3) 1 Davies’ Edburton Frisky Fox. Pretty sable boy with a lovely temperament. Attractive head and eye. Well balanced with a good tailset, correct quality coat. His good movement won him the class. 2 Morgan’s Dare to Dream at Ahlen. Black sable, different type to the winner. Loved his typy head and eye. Well bodied and boned, good tailset and well muscled. Another good GS temperament. 3 Allison’s Oberitz Renegade.
PD (5) 1 Thomas and Thomas’s Orion Winner Takes It All. Balanced black, moved very well going. Lovely head, well boned and a pleasing body and good tailset. Coat of correct texture. 2 Andrews’ Porterble Sirius Black from Runfold. Another nicely balanced black, excellent colour and a very good head and eye. Not as yet the body of the winner. Typical GS outgoing temperament. 3 Chambers Holbain Benny for Musique.
JD (2) 1 Hughes and Forrester’s Candease Back to the Future. Another black, good body and tailset. Pleasant head and expression. Movement more positive going.
PGD (1) 1 Hill’s Enzo Z Temnych Noci at Cyfelin (Imp). Most attractive sable with a black mask. Well ribbed up and back. Lovely wedge head and good ear placement. Well coated and of the correct texture. Good tailset. Moved well and with purpose. Res CC.
LD (3) 1 Penwarne’s Runfold Kestrel at Sheldamar. Well coated brown dog, correct textured coat. Very pleasing head and expression. Good body, bone and such neat feet. He moved well but a little lack lustre on the day. He still deserved his place. 2 NaylorTerendak Bubble Top. Glamorous cream with a fabulous coat. Good head and ear placement. Well bodied, good tailset. Preferred the movement of the winner. 3 Mole’s Molead Moon Beam.
OD (8,4) 1 Palmer-Jones’ Ch Stonelight Dashing Denzil. Beautifully balanced black, very black. Very good front assembly, well ribbed up and back and great legs with the neatest of feet. Tight tailset and showing his socks off. Positive on the move. CC and BOB. 2 Naylor’s Oldcharm Black Knight. Different in type to the winner. Black sable boy of substance, coat of good texture. Pleasing head and expression, moved well. 3 Highmoor’s Ch Kartmel Legolas.
MPB (1) 1 Allison’s Oberitz Raven. Very well bodied black. Good coat texture, lovely mouth. Moving ok, a little shy.
PB (6,3) 1 Thomas; Gamegards Christmas Fairy. Cream coat of correct texture. Real foxy head with well placed ears. Very good pigment, Well made, very feminine, very feminine girl showing and moving so well for her young handler. Lovely type. Res CC. 2 Wright and Storm’s Orion Music of the Night. Well bodied for size.
PGB (6,4) 1 Hill’s Edburton Llyngoes at Cyfelin. Pretty sable, moving very well. Pleasing head, good tailset. Nice body and bone. Would prefer a harsher coat. 2 Holmes’ Oberitz Fiery Fox.
