Critique

PD (2) 1 Bradbury’s Wychlea Rhonday Vooh, most gorgeous puppy, so nice to go over, excels in outline, size, exquisite type & movement is near perfect. Always a fly in the ointment & his mouth – top canines are badly positioned, hope they improve. BP & RCC; 2 Hughes & Forrester’s Candease Bring Me Sunshine, a biggish boy, bouncy mover, pleasing head. Eyes rather too small maybe. Harsh stand off coat, well curled tail. Needs time to settle. Has puppy teeth still. JD (3) 1 Leadbetter’s Kartmel Take It To The Limit, moved in snatches & was very naughty. Excellent size & nicely square proportions, neat erect ears, good legs & small round feet, defined stop, dark eyes, nice enough head, good coat texture; 2 C Bring Me Sunshine. PGD (1) 1 Holmes’ Oberetz Prinz Charming, OK for size, full of the joys of spring & bouncing around. Fairly typical head & muzzle, sound front, moderately short neck, level back, well set on tail, typical slightly high hocks for the breed, seems sound enough but bouncy. Losing a bit of undercoat. LD (2) A. OD (3) 1 Chambers’ Ch Nosregor Hot Shot for Musique, gorgeous Spitz of lovely type & proportions, oversize I think but has the lovely wedge shaped head, tapering nicely to firm muzzle, well set oval eyes, pigment blending with coat colour, nice front, bone & feet, well ribbed, level back, high set curled tail, well coated & super movement which is brisk & sharp. CC; 2 Storm’s Stormavon Special To Me To Me, pretty dog, muzzle not as strong as 1, weak front legs & turns his feet out. Excellent ears, good body. Cow hocked going away. Super coat & tail set nicely, moved well in profile.

PB (6) 1 Bradbury’s Wychlea Isadora Ball, two beauties! 1 has one misplaced canine due to puppy teeth taking out too late & the second had both out of place for the same reason. What a shame. Both are so beautiful. 1 scores on a slightly brisker side action. Gorgeous head, eyes & expression, so nicely made with moderate angulation & so well knit in body, good coat coming, excellent mover; 2 Atkinson’s Rimazet Monsoon, very lovely head, well set ears helping to give a sharp enquiring expression, neat front, excellent body & topline, good quarters & coat coming on well; 3 Serman’s Bonneavid Treacle Tart among Tymy. JB (3) 1 Avent’s Runfold Summer Puddin, lovely colour & pigment blends well with that super coat, not much of it on the day however. Pretty tall & would like a bit more width as well. Pleasing head & expression, well set on tail, good profile mover. PGB (6) 1 Storm’s Stormavon Scotch Mist, really nice to go over although I thought a little more length of neck would improve as it isn’t even moderately short. Lovely head, eyes & strength of muzzle, good front, legs & tidy feet, short coupled, level back, well set tail. In full coat she would look a picture but had some loss of hair today. Excellent mover with straight true stride; 2 Gittoes’ Molmead Majic Queen, in better coat & she too has a lovely front, pleasing head & pigment, square outline, tail curled well over, moves very close behind but otherwise a good mover in front & side gait. Shows well; Trendle’s Lusam Parti Popper. LB (6) 1 May’s Chilite Painted Feather, on first look I thought her topline was running up but she has a mass of hair over her rump which gives that impression. A neat, well put together Spitz, liked her head & sharp expression. Ears set a wee bit too far apart, Enough neck, OK in front, sound both ways & well set tail; 2 Wright & Storm’s Orion Music Of The Night, out of coat but nicely square in body & height to length ratio. Rather upright in shoulders & it would be nice to see the front legs under her withers instead of in front. Otherwise I admired her medium bone, tight feet, well carried tail & sound rear; 3 Hayward’s Don’t Look Back. OB (6) 1 Francis’ Ch Stormavon Silhouette, lovely to go over, beautiful head & the darkest of pigment, neat erect ears, set well & tapering wedge shaped skull & muzzle without being too ‘toyish’. Excellent body, angulation is correct & moderate tail well over. Her coat could have been a touch harsher but for the time of the year she had quite enough. Outstanding mover. CC & BOB; 2 Serman’s Ch Dourhu Black Velvet, still has lovely feet, bone of the best, pleasing in head. A wee bit too small in eyes. Excellent square outline, sound mover with brisk strides of moderate length, super tail, shows so well. Not surprised to see she is a ch, well deserved. RCC; 3 Wright’s Chilite Midnight Magic.
