German Spitz Klein

I found the dogs fairly even & nice quality throughout. Most were fairly square.

VD (1) 1 Metcalfe’s Ch Flactem Domino, square dog who moves very well up, back & around, wedge head. Just a bit short in muzzle, too much stop. Small ears, correct neck, well balanced angulation, level topline, correct texture of coat. Close contender for RCC. PD (2) Two very good pups. 1 Pearce & Francis’ Longdale’s Willie Win, very good head, slight stop, fairly flat skull, dark pigment, well shaped eyes. Would prefer slightly smaller ears. Correct neck, level topline, balanced angulation. Could firm up in hind action. Went well around the ring, nice feet. BP; 2 Highmoor’s Printzagems Zak Icelett, slightly more compact than 1. Lack of pigment to eye rims spoils his expression. Wedge head, very good body, level topline. Made slightly heavy going of ground, but a super temperament. JD (1) 1 Holmes & Leadbetter’s Birlington Bertie of Bow, bottom end of size range, but masculine dog with super texture of coat. Ears are rather large. Dark well shaped eyes, correct neck, moderate well balanced angulation, square outline. Just a bit wide going away. PGD (1) 1 Holmes & Leadbetter’s Lumburg Golden Jason, compact dog, true out & back with a brisk action, super eyes & expression. Just a bit deep in stop & ears could be neater. Correct neck. Elbows a bit wide, but moves OK. Very good rear, nice short back giving a square outline. LD(3) Three good dogs, all with different virtues & failings. 1 Francis, Pearce & Tullis’ Icarus von Zwergen Konig, presents a square outline of lovely balance, super head, correct proportions, medium stop, well placed oval eyes, super pigment. Ears bigger than I would prefer. Correct neck. Slightly wide in front. Super body & rib with a short loin, firm topline, well set tail, best rear in the class. CC; 2 Norketi’s Applebanks Thruddennce, lots I liked about him, but can look slightly longer than 1, not quite the head of 1 & a darker eye would give a better expression. Has a better front than 1, firm topline, well set tail. Just a bit too moderate in rear. Moved very well; 3 Morgan’s Cyfelin Jack Frost at Ahlenagen. OD (3) 1 Highmoor’s Ch Printzacems Verve, square shaped dog in correctly textured coat, sound mover, looks good in profile, masculine head with wedge shape, very good eyes & expression. Maybe a fraction short in muzzle. Ears OK, correct neck. Could have better lay of shoulder. Correct depth of chest & length of leg, level back, correct rear. Not the head of CC winner. RCC; 2 Hill & Gilraine’s Ch Cyfelin Rudna Romeo, ultra compact dog, maybe a bit too much coat. Wedge head which is very masculine. Slightly broad in front & would like a bit more neck. Short firm back, rear angulation matches front; 3 Metcalfe’s Chilite Nite Spirit.

VB (0). PB (2) 1 Trendle’s lusam Toodle Pip, feminine girl with delightful temperament, full of fun on the move but very sound, prefer her head to 2. Could have slightly larger eyes & smaller ears. Super angulation front & rear, well sprung ribs, correct forechest; 2 Hill’s Rhona Z Temnych Noci at Cyfelin, promising pup of 7 months who can still develop a bit more in head. A bit short in muzzle & could have bigger darker nose. Correct neck, balanced angulation, very good proportions, moves well. JB (0). PGB (2) 1 Metcalfe’s Flactem Midnight Blue, small bitch but all in proportion, square well balanced outline, so very good on the move. Would like slightly more oval eyes, but they are dark & give a better expression than 2, balanced angulation, well sprung ribs, level topline; 2 Hill’s Cyfelin Rudna Juliet, top of size range but under measure. Would just prefer slightly darker eye & more pigment to nose. Well shaped wedge head & correct neck. Slightly wide in front. Well bodied, nice rear, holds a level topline. LB (2) 1 Griffiths’ Dunbrook Pink Fizz, black bitch in good coat who looks good moving around the ring, wedge head, neat ears, correct neck. Rather bold & round in eye. Very good front angulation, but a bit too moderate in rear. Level back. OB (3) Small, but very good class. 1 Chambers’ Printzagems Viva La Diva for Musique, square shape, balanced in angulation, very good head, dark oval eyes, super ears, correct neck, moderate angulation front & rear, firm topline. Would like a bit more body on her. True hind action. CC & BOB; 2 Pearce & Francis’ Ch Radajasa Agent Cher Bitfiz of Longsdale, lovely square outline, super head, dark well shaped eyes, lovely neck with super body & rib. Can stand a bit wide in front & could have a fraction more hind angulation. Exuberant mover if a bit over enthusiastic in lifting her front feet. Super coat & presentation. RCC; 3 Trendle’s Ch Lusam Parti Popper.
