German Spitz Klein

I was delighted with my entry both for quality & numbers; it was nice to see some older exhibits showing the youngsters how to do it. Overall I was looking for a square, sound, happy spitz with correct, sound movement & I am pleased to say I was spoiled for choice.

PD (7) Very nice class of youngsters all at different stages of development. 1 Allison’s Oberitz Thunderbird, 7 months very smart black, lovely wedge shaped head, dark expressive eyes, correct length of neck, good topline, in good coat, moved very steady for one so young; 2 Clements’ Holbain Just Ted, could not think of a better name for this dark brown, lovely head, nice naughty expression, everything to like about him, used his ears very well, moved OK but not as steady as 1. Should have a lot of fun with this puppy.3 Furber’s Holbain Just Tim. PG (3) 1 Serman’s Rochedo Bill The Badger by Tymy, b/w parti, giving his handler a hard time. Very pleasing in head, excellent bone & correct angulation throughout, moved well enough to win this class, should do well when matured; 2 Trendle’s Lusam Neat N’Tidy, pleasing kind expression, not in full coat. Would like a little more bone. Moved steadily but little close behind. OD (5) Very nice class with some old favourites. 1 Morgan’s Cyfelin Jack Frost at Ahlenagen, nice dog with masculine head, liked his black mask & dark expressive eyes, well off for bone, you need to get your hands on this dog to feel the quality, nice square body beneath the coat, strong topline, good tail carriage, best male mover. BD; 2 Highmoor’s Ch Printzagems Verve, worthy ch, masculine black square dog with good bone, in good coat, uses ears well & shown to perfection. Just not as positive in rear movement as my top dog. RBD; 3 Hayward’s Holbain Cool Fool.

PB (4) Another quality class of youngsters, liked them all. 1 Furber’s Holbain Lou Lou, pretty b/w parti with correct head & kind feminine expression, correct neck, quality bone, moved & showed well, finished off with coat of good quality. BP; 2 Godridge’s Lusam Teazy Weazy, very pretty cream, good head, ears not quite as small as 1 but this does not detract from her lovely feminine expression, excellent bone, level topline, correct angulation throughout, moved well. Just not the finish of 1 but one I could have taken home; 3 Allison’s Oberitz Firebee. PG (3) Three very nice bitches in this class, sure all will change places at another time. 1 Penwarne’s Sheldamar Voodoo Doll, the most together in this class, with coat on the way, black with pretty wedge shaped head, small neat well set ears, good eye shape, moved well when settled; 2 Trendle’s Lusam Toodle Pip, young wolf/s. No coat at all but what a nice body she has to go over. Pretty girl, correct neck line, quality bone, level topline, very good mover. Just needs coat; 3 Hill’s Cyfelin Titania. OB (5) 1 Penwarne’s Sheldamar Spell On Voo, excellent exhibit, very much in her prime, shiny black coat of good quality, excels in head with lovely arch to neck, strong topline, lovely bone & angulation, good tailset & carriage, moved out well with soundness, just a little more spirit in her movement gained her BOB over the quality male. BOB; 2 Trendle’s Ch Lusam Parti Popper, b/w parti young lady of quality & a worthy ch, lovely to go over, excels in soundness with really good movement. Not quite the head was looking for but feminine & so sound. RBB; 3 Hill’s Cyfelin Rudna Juliet.
