It was a honour to be asked to judge both sizes of German Spitz at Manchester and would like to thank the Committee, Stewards and all that entered for making it a great day. I was very pleased with my Best of Breed and congratulate her for a faultless display in the Group ring. An excellent example of this wonderful breed. Thank you to the Group Judge, Martin Freeman for recognizing quality by shortlisting her in the Utility Group.

I would just like to take this opportunity to remind exhibitors of both Mittles and Kliens as to the preparation of your dog’s coats for the Show Ring. Quote from the KC Breed Standard. “This is not a trimmed breed and evidence of trimming and shaping, other than tidying of feet, anal area and legs below the hocks, is unacceptable.”
