Critique

A very small entry, so not really able to make any kind of determination as to the direction of development of the breed.

JD (1) 1 Beard’s Wyndlee Cam En Bear, choc dog almost 18 months old, presents very good outline & balance, excellent tail, harsh straight outer coat, very good gait. He has correct wedge shaped head, well set & used ears but would like them neater. Correct pigmentation for coat colour. Feet could be neater, typical gait. PGD (1) 1 Bamford’s Applebnks Goldfinger at Hazdawn, 2 year lovely lad, shame he is a tad over the measure. He has correct wedge head with good balance to skull/muzzle, dark eyes, neat ears which need to be a bit higher set. Nose pigment just slightly lighter than desired. He has very good front, excellent body development, very good rear, neat feet, tail could be higher set. His harsh straight jacket is excellent. LD (2,1) 1 Pearce & Francis’s Longsdales Woody Win, 2 year rich dark choc male having excellent outline & balance. He has correct wedge head but eye shape & earset affect expression a bit. Correct pigment to go with coat colour. He has excellent conformation, forehand, very good body, neat feet, excellent tail, almost square in body shape, very good gait. CC. OD (6) 1 Pearce & Francis’ Ch Longsdales Willie Win, 3 year cream gives a very attractive accounting of himself, presenting an excellent outline, but it is all in the ‘hands on under the coat’ that tells the story, isn’t it? He has an excellent head, expression, pigmentation, front construction, coat & gait. I just preferred the LD who is a better ribbed back dog with a shorter loin. RCC; 2 Jackson & Minshall’s Holbain Just Like Bill, 3 year cream dog with neat ears but could be higher set, he has dark eyes that are a shade round. Overall very pleasing body shape, very good coat texture, very good gait especially in the front & side; 3 Highmoor’s Printzagems Zak Icelett, I liked this dog a lot but he insisted on pacing.

PB (2) 1 Bradbury’s Oberitz Topsy Turvy for Wychlea, 9 month old attractive, alert, outgoing busy little girl. She has a very feminine expression, though will need to grow into her ears. Presents a very pleasing outline for balance, excellent tail, coat texture is a bit soft, vg side & rear gait, very promising. BP; 2 Delve & Andrew’s Claran Fern, 10 month old, quite petite & fine bitch who is more ‘Pom’ in head type than the preferred ‘spitz’ wedge head shape & proportions. Coat texture is excellent, neat feet, excellent tail, fluent true active gait, needs time to develop more in body. JB (2) 1 Garwood’s Buffmyster Star Of The Show, 16 month old b/w parti bitch with feminine sweet expression, correct eyes & ears, very good front, neat front feet, but rear feet could be tighter. Very good body, coat excellent tail & very good gait. RCC; 2, Bamford’s Applebanks April Showers at Hazdawn, 13 month old choc/w parti bitch with attractive, typical head & expression. She has correct pigment for coat colour, very good neck, not too wide in front, excellent coat & tail. Movement not as fluent in the rear or front as 1. PGB (2) 1 Avery’s Aveka’s Estrallita, b/w parti with preferred overall body, front, head, ears & balance. She has excellent gait & very good coat; 2 Bamford’s Applebanks’ Skye At Midnight at Hazdawn, a very small bitch with toyish head & deep stop. Ears could be higher set. She has an excellent coat, very good front gait & tailset. LB (1) 1 Serman’s Wychlea Lady In The Mirror by Tymy, small black bitch with good feminine head & expression. I would prefer more oval eyes & higher earset. She has & excellent body shape, short coupled, excellent tail & coat texture, with neat feet & good gait. OB (3,1) 1 Bradbury’s Ch Wychle Vixen In The Dark, 3 year black bitch of excellent breed type & quality, presenting an almost square outline, alert expression, excellent front construction, spring of rib, strong loin, excellent rearquarters & this certainly showed in her positive sound action. Neat feet, high set tail completed the picture. CC & BOB; 2 Garwood’s Pritzagems Tantalize, 7 year old black bitch much more substantial all over. She gives an alert performance, but ear size & set on could be enhanced to better effect. She has an excellent body & tail set on, body is excellent for size & development, but not as fluent in rear gait as 1.
