German Spitz Klein
My grateful thanks to the committee of the National for the invitation to judge German Spitz Klein & to my two excellent stewards. Also to the exhibitors themselves for their genuine camaraderie which made such a pleasant atmosphere around the ring.
MPD (2) 1 Mole’s Chilite Pima Indian, 6 months old, o/w baby, lovely head & expression, neat ears & dark eye. Well constructed body, but carrying enough weight for his age. Moved well with nice high set tail & good coat; 2 Holmes’ Santa Baby, another real baby at his first show & not really enjoying it very much. Difficult to handle & assess movement, but as his confidence grows I am sure his many attributes will shine through.
PD (1) 1 Bayliss’ Kysiena Chant Of The Spirits, 10 months old tri. Well balanced skull, high set ears, clean dark eye. Good neck & shoulder, but needs to really pull himself up when standing, otherwise gives the impression of being a little long in back. Moved very well. BPD.

PGD (1) 1 Lewis’ Indizak Hakuna Matata at Louchelle, smaller w/s dog, pleasing head with attractive expression, dark eye & correct bite. Well laid shoulder, short coupled well ribbed up body & nice high set tail. Profuse quality coat. Moved briskly but at times a little wide in front. Extremely well trained for table presentation. RCC.
LD (5) 1 Bayliss’ Kusiena Enchanted Sky, bl/br dog, well balanced skull, nice eye, but ears a little wide set. Good reach of neck, deep chest, good bone & neat feet. Coat of correct texture & tail carried high on the move. Another one extremely well trained; 2 Mole’s Chilite Shooting Star, lovely orange dog, could really have pushed for the top spot, but sadly due to an accident while grooming his expression was spoilt by a very watery eye. Well constructed throughout, good reach of neck which he used to full advantage, good bone & neat feet. Profuse coat of correct texture, moved briskly but could tighten up a little on hind movement; 3 Dyer’s Oberitz Curiosity at Javara.
OD (2,1) 1 Jackson & Marshall’s Holbain Just Like Bill, cr/s dog, a real little spitz who would be unstoppable if only he could find some ‘spitz sparkle’. Lovely head & expression, correct bite, neat ears used better when on the ground than on the table. Well laid shoulder giving good reach of neck, short coupled body of substance, profuse quality coat, moved & showed well. Delighted to give him CC which I understand was his third. VD (1) A.
MPB (3) 1 Mellor’s Nirvarna Sunset, just 6 months old at her first show. A real little charmer, lovely head & expression, well used ears. Profuse b/w coat, covering well made body of enough substance for age. Would like to see her grow on a little which I am sure she will. When she & her young handler get their confidence & ringcraft skills together I am sure she will have a bright future; 2 Bradbury’s Printzagems Third Degree by Wychlea, 8 months old, pretty head with alert expression & dark eye. Good reach of neck giving pleasing outline, finished with gleaming black coat. Finer boned at present & needs to tighten up on the move; 3 Wright’s Rodeo Queen.
PB (5,1) 1 Baker’s Clarmers Ruby Red, confident youngster of 10 months. Well balanced head with alert expression & well used ears. Good lay of shoulder giving nice reach of neck, deep brisket & high set tail completing a compact outline. Profuse brown coat of good texture. Moved & showed well & extremely well trained. BP; 2 Spence’s Spencerian Doggy Style, smaller bitch with dense black jacket, would have liked a little more length of muzzle to balance skull. Correct mouth, dark eyes and neat ears. Deep ribbed, short coupled body of substance, good legs & neat feet. Moved & showed really well. Another one well schooled; 3 Bradbury’s Printzagems Third Degree by Wychlea.
JB (4,1) 1 C Ruby Red; 2 Thomas’ Indizak Heart Breaker, pretty little w/s bitch, with lovely head, dark eyes & alert expression. Well constructed body of substance, good spring of rib, short coupled & with high set tail to finish a pleasing outline. Not quite as steady on the move as 1; 3 Spence’s Spencerian Kiss Me Quick.

LB (2) 1 Bradbury’s Oberitz Topsy Turvy for Wychlea, attractive well balanced head, dark eyes, neat ears & pleasing expression. Good reach of neck which she used well, deep short coupled body with profuse coat of gleaming black. Moved freely & covered her ground well. RCC; 2 Wright’s Chilite Indian Shadow, feminine little lady with profuse brown coat. Good balance of head, dark eyes but ears a little wide set. Nice shoulder placement, well sprung brisket & high set tail. Good bone & neat feet. Moved a little wide behind.
OB (2,1) 1 Pearce & Francis’ Ch Longsdale’s Jen You Win, the last time I met this young lady she had just cast her puppy coat & I was not able to place her highly. However, today she was presented in full bloom & it was indeed a pleasure & an honour to go over her. A really beautiful specimen of the breed & a true ‘legend in her own lifetime’. Absolutely oozing quality & confidence, shown to perfection. I was delighted to give her CC (which I understand was her 29th) together with BOB & wish her every success for the future.
VB (1) 1 Wright’s Chilite Lunar Moon, pretty orange bitch, 7 years young, with lovely well balanced head, high set ears, clean eyes & real spitz expression. Good firm short coupled body, not carrying any excess weight. Moved well both ends & showed extremely well. BV.
