Critique
I enjoyed judging the Kleins enormously. Thank you for your entries.
PUPPY DOG (2,0)
1st Jackson and Minshall’s PERRYMERE JUST BERTIE. Cream of good size.
Presents a most pleasing profile and doesn’t disappoint on handling. Well
proportioned wedge head, decent stop and width to the skull. Good strength of
muzzle and fill. Dark eye and good bite. Sufficient neck length.Excellent bone
and correct ribbing for age. Short loin. Decent angulation and good feet. Coat is
correct. Moved with verve. He really is a most promising puppy. BEST PUPPY
and PUPPY GROUP 4.
2nd Spence’s SPENCERIAN SO MACHO. This lad really has most lovely head and
expression. Blunt wedge with skull and muzzle in proportion. Beautiful shaped,
dark eye, correctly set. Ears excellent although not happy to use them. Not as
square as required and dropped tail didn’t help.
JUNIOR DOG (1,0)
1st Rogerson’s NOSREGOR WILLHE DOO. Right at that in-between stage.
Attractive, well balanced head, well set ear. A little round in eye. Good neck
length, top line and tail set is excellent. Turns feet out coming to, but rear is
excellent. I would like more bone and spring of rib. Coat is of excellent quality.
LIMIT DOG (2,0)
1st Dyer & Orr’s MUSIQUE WISHFUL THINKING JW. Good quality young lad
who presents an excellent, square and substantial picture. I particularly liked
his strength in muzzle which was nicely balanced with broad skull and correct
stop. Eye was, perhaps, a touch round, but did not spoil a decent expression.
Front not too wide. Super bone and spring of rib with short, deep loin. Quality
coat. Hock not quite as strong as I would like on the move but front and side
action is correct. An excellent example of the breed. Dog CC.
2nd Wright’s MONTBLANC BJORN IRONSIDE AT ORION (IKC). Like my winner
top end of the measure. Presents a pleasing and balanced profile. Balanced in
head with particularly small and well set ears. Good length neck and firm
through the body. Good front and rear angulation, though rather narrow in
front. Excellent tail set and quality coat.
OPEN DOG (3,0)
1st. Moir’s JANSANLEIS LOUD N PROUD. Very correct dog in profile, being
square and with sufficient neck to balance. Nicely proportioned head with a
most attractive and correct expression. Good through the body with short loin.
Correct angulation with strength in front and rear pasterns. Excellent
movement, true front and rear and with brisk purposeful side gait. Liked him
just as much as CC winner so decision came down to personal preference of
slightly more spring of rib and width through the loin of the winner. Excellent
example. Reserve Dog CC.
2nd Jackson and Minshall’s CH HOLBAIN JUST LIKE BILL. This lad has the most
beautiful head and expression. Broad skull, correct stop, wood width of muzzle
and fill under the eye giving a super wedge shape. Correct eye and ear. Good
front and rear angulation, not too wide in front. Excellent spring of rib and
strong through the loin. Quality coat. Worthy of his status, but just not playing
today.
3rd. Wright and Halligan’s NARDIK NEW MOON AT ICABEL JW ShCm.
PUPPY BITCH (3,0)
1st. Orr’s RADAJASAS NOOR KHAN FOR SOBRIETY. Very pretty puppy.
Correct in body with short loin sufficient spring of rib for age. Particularly good
construction with correct angulation. Good bone but needs to strengthen in
pastern. Would prefer a little stronger in muzzle but this may well come with
maturity.
2nd Withheld
3rd Withheld
JUNIOR BITCH (1,0)
1st Rogerson’s NOSREGOR GIRL ALMIGHTY. I adored the balanced wedge,
correct eye shape and set and super ear on this girl. Gorgeous, and her
expression reflected her delightful temperament. Neck of good length giving
balance to her decent profile. Strong topline and sufficient bone. Elbow could be
tighter and hock stronger. Well set tail. Coat a tad soft.
POST GRADUATE (1,0)
Excluded.
LIMIT BITCH (1,0)
1st Spence’s SPENCERIAN DOGGY STYLE ShCm. Another girl with a beautifully
balanced wedge head. Correct muzzle and skull proportions topped off with the
neatest of ears and a good eye giving lovely expression. Adequate neck to
balance a super square body profile. Very well made with tight elbows and
strong hocks giving a very true action. Excellent coat. Would just like a tad more
bone. Well deserved Reserve Bitch CC.
OPEN BITCH (4,0)
1st Rogerson’s NOSREGOR LIES’N’DECEET. What a wonderfully compact and
square girl this is. Didn’t disappoint on the table with an excellent spring of rib,
short and strong loin and excellent tail set. Really good bone and strong legs.
Attractive in head with good skull to muzzle balance. Ears small and well set
topping off a most pleasing expression. In very full coat which could be a little
harsher. Absolutely no hesitation giving her Bitch CC, her third I am told,
congratulations. BOB – I loved her.
2nd Wright’s ORION CHLOE MAY Over size lass but with sufficient qualities to
merit this place and consideration for the Reserve CC. Well proportioned head
with pleasing expression. Excellent neck length giving her a nicely balanced
profile. Correct angulation, good bone and substance. Excellent high tail set well
over the back. Not so true in front and I would like stronger pasterns.
3rd Shepherd and MacBain’s CHILITE INDIAN BOW FOR FECIMUS.
