German Spitz (Klein)

PD (3,2)
1. Moore’s Pommary Mark My Word. 11 mth sable. Balanced youngster who was nice to go over with moderately short neck, level topline, ribcage extending well back, firm loin and tail set on high which he carries well. Nicely proportioned head with small ears set on high, oval-shaped eyes and correct dentition. He stands straight in front on cat-like feet but a little more angulation to the hindquarters than preferred. Moving briskly on the go around, straight when coming towards but a tad wider when going away. Best Puppy.

1. Pearce & Francis’ Longsdale’s Blame It On Me. Quality 14 mth cream who presented a compact, well balanced outline, excelled for type and was so good to go over. Neck of correct length to balance, firm level topline, excellent ribbing, nice short loin and curled tail set on high. Attractive head and expression with good skull to muzzle proportions, moderate stop, dark oval-shaped eyes, small ears set on high, first class pigmentation and correct scissor bite. He is well constructed all through with moderate angles fore and aft, straight forelegs, super feet and muscular hindquarters with nice firm hocks. Moving briskly with excellent self carriage and nice and straight on the down and back. Good coat and presentation. CC.

PGD (1,0)
1. Moore’s Pommary Let Rumour Begin. 18 mth sable who was not entirely settled on the move. Head of good proportions, skull nearly flat, moderate stop, oval-shaped eyes, ears set on well, good pigmentation and correct mouth. Neck a little shorter than preferred, very nice topline, pleasing rib, short loin and tail set on high and of good carriage. Moderate layback of shoulder, nice straight forelegs and cat-like feet. I did manage to catch a few glimpses of him settled on the move but much of the time he was not making the best of himself. Profuse coat.

LD (3,0)
1. Pearce & Francis’ Longsdale Heat of the Moment. 16 mth dark brown who greatly appealed. I thought him an excellent type, he is nice and compact, good to go over and presented in such good order. Moderately short neck, level topline, ribs extend well back and are nicely sprung, short muscular loin and curled tail set on nice and high. Masculine head and expression with good skull to muzzle proportions, moderate stop, the best of eyes and ears and correct dentition. He stands so well naturally and didn’t disappoint on the move, gaiting briskly with excellent self carriage. Quality coat. Handled to perfection. Close up for the RCC.
2. Jackson & Minshall’s Perrymere Just Bertie JW. This 20 mth cream is another quality boy and he was unlucky to come up against the winner. He is correct for size and presented the compact outline I was looking for. He was also good to go over given his correct construction and excellent conditioning. Attractive head and expression with good proportions, nearly flat skull, moderate stop, good eyes for colour, small ears set on well and correct scissor bite. Neck of correct length, level topline, excellent ribbing, short loin and high set curled tail. Moving true fore and aft and in typical brisk fashion on the go around. Excellent coat and so very well handled.
3. Leadbetter’s Pommary Total Challenge

OD (5,0)
1. Moir’s Jansanleis Loud 'N' Proud. 4 yr old white who appealed for overall type and balance. Correct length of neck, firm level topline, ribbed well back, short muscular loin and curled tail set on nice and high. Beautifully balanced head with nice breadth to skull, moderately defined stop, clean cheeks and correct dentition. Moderate layback of shoulder, standing nice and straight in front on nice tight feet and firm rear with moderate turn of stifle. Moving well all through, making the most of himself as he goes and handled to advantage. Quality coat and presentation. RCC.
2. Serman’s Ch Printzagems Late Arrival for Tymy. 3 yr old black of different type to the winner but who was very close up on the day. Beautifully balanced with moderately short neck, level topline, well ribbed back and ribs well sprung, nice short loin and curled tail set on high. First class head and expression; correct skull to muzzle proportions, moderate stop, dark oval-shaped eyes which are obliquely set, small ears set on rather high and correct scissor bite. Another who is so well made with correct angles front and rear, nice straight front, cat-like feet and firm, muscular hindquarters. Moving well all through but winner just had the edge of the go around.
3. Dyer & Orr’s Musique Wishful Thinking JW

JB (1,0)
1. Orr’s Radajasa’s Black Pearl with Sobriety. Standing alone this 14 mth black is really something special and for me, a true spitz. Feminine all through, she is beautifully balanced with correct length of neck, level topline, ribbed well back and rib developing well for age, short muscular loin and curled tail of excellent set. Delightful head and expression with correct proportions, moderately defined stop, clean cheeks, dark oval-shaped eyes of correct set, small ears set on well and correct dentition. Moderately angulated front and rear, nice straight forelegs and cat-like feet. Moving briskly on the go around with excellent self carriage and nice and straight fore and aft. RCC and Best Junior. Just needs a little more time to see the very best of her.

PGB (3,0)
1. Spence’s Spencerian Sexy and I Know It. 3 yr old cream who was a comfortable winner in the class for me. She presented the best outline with neck of correct length to balance, firm level topline, good length to ribcage and curled tail set on high. Pleasing head and expression with correct skull to muzzle proportions, moderate stop, good eye for shape, small ears set on well, nice dark pigmentation and correct dentition. Moving out briskly and nice and straight when coming towards. Just felt she was a little narrower all through than the ideal. Very well handled.
2. Spence’s Spencerian Starz In Her Eyes. 2 yr old sable. Somewhat rangier girl but she is soundly constructed. Feminine headpiece with correct skull to muzzle proportions, moderately defined stop, dark oval-shaped eyes of correct set, clean cheeks, ears set on rather high and correct scissor bite. Level topline, pleasing rib but a fraction longer in loin. She stands nice and straight in front on cat-like feet and has a firm muscular rear. Moving freely with nice self carriage. Good coat. Well handled.
3. Orr’s Radajasa’s Noor Khan for Sobriety

LB (1,0)
1. Spence’s Spencerian Doggy Style ShCM. 3 yr old black who has so much to like. She pleased for overall type, is nice and compact and good to go over. Moderately short neck, level topline, well sprung ribs which extend well back, nice short loin and curled tail set on high. Attractive head with feminine expression; nice breadth to her nearly flat skull, moderate stop, dark oval-shaped eyes, small ears set on rather high and good dentition. Moderate layback of shoulder, straight forelegs, nice tight feet and firm rear with moderate turn of stifle. Moving straight on the down and back and with characteristic brisk action when viewed from the side. Quality coat and shown to advantage.

OB (6,1)
1. Pearce & Francis’ Ch Longsdale’s Dilemma. 4 yr old black who was a standout in the class and the star of the day for me. I loved everything about her and she is without a doubt one of the best of the breed I have judged to date. She excels for type, is correct for size, beautifully balanced and well constructed all through. Neck of correct length to balance, firm level topline, ribs well rounded and extending well back, short muscular loin and curled tail set on nice and high. Exquisite head and expression with well balanced, wedge-shaped head, moderately defined stop, clean cheeks, the very best of eyes and ears and correct scissor bite. First class construction with complementary angles front and rear, she stands nice and straight in front on cat-like feet and is nice and firm behind with excellent muscling. Moving true on the down and back and a delight to watch her correct action and self carriage on the go around. Quality coat and presentation. CC & BOB.
2. Wright’s Orion Chloe May. 4 yr old white who was over the measure but placed second here on overall balance and construction. Feminine, well proportioned head with nice breadth to her fairly flat skull, moderate stop, excellent eye for shape, set and colour, small ears set on rather high, clean cheeks and correct dentition. Moderate layback of shoulder, elbows close to the body, straight forelegs, nice tight feet and firm hindquarters with moderate turn of stifle. Neck of correct length, firm topline, very nice ribbing, short loin and high set curled tail. Moving true with typical brisk profile action. Good coat.
3. Tonks’ Oberitz Happy Hour von Wilzhund
