Critique

Would like to thank the Committee for inviting me to give my first set of CCs in German Spitz.  As only the second show since the restrictions were eased, things were far from ‘normal’, but everyone appeared to cope well.  Thanks to my excellent stewards who did a sterling job of keeping me in line; and to the exhibitors for their good humour.    I was pleased with the entry and there were few absentees.  

Yearling - Dog

1ST         GALVIZACH MANDALA AT DARAYDALA (MR K GARDNER) R/W parti, just coming up to 2 years.  Good head with well placed, neat ears and lovely expression;  up to size, he had a balanced outline of correct proportions.  Coped well with the ground and moved out briskly.  Abundant coat, which was well presented.  Very attractive youngster.

1ST         WYCHLEA PERCY VEHERE (MRS G C BRADBURY).  Really liked this 2 year old black, shown in good, quality coat and well presented.  Happy, confident outlook, good head and expression, correct  square outline, neat bone.  Moved out briskly.

1ST         NOSREGOR WILLHE SURPRISE YA (MISS L ROGERSON).  Another quality black, 2 years old.  Standing, presented a lovely square outline and has an air about him!  Handsome head, neat ears and good eye shape and colour; correct for angulation and balanced throughout.  Shown in good coat, well presented.   Pleasure to watch on the move.  In the challenge he had that little bit extra that carried the day.  DCC/BOB

1ST         MUSIQUE BORN LEGACY (MRS J Y & MR A M CHAMBERS).  Lovely white male, with super head, dark clean eye, neat bone and correct square outline.  Quality coat presented in tip-top order.  Moved and showed well.   Very close decision for top spot, but just pipped by the sparkle of the Limit dog on the day. RDCC.

2ND       FERNANDO Z TEMNYCH NOCI AT CYFELIN (IMP CZ) (MR P A & MRS S HILL).  Attractive 4 year old wolf sable, just a little heavier all through, lacking the elegance of 1.  Good outline, well presented and moved out soundly.

Puppy - Bitch

1ST         NOSREGOR SISTER SLEDGE (MISS L ROGERSON).  Sweet 8 month puppy bitch.  Very raw at the moment, with coat needed to fully show off her charms.  However, a lot to like about her, from her attractive head and lovely eye and her nice bone to her good outline and sound movement.  BP.  

Junior - Bitch

1ST         CLARAN BLACK DIAMOND (MS K ANDREW).  Lovely 13 month black – but unfortunately left her coat at home.  Pretty, feminine head, sweet expression.  Good square outline, lovely body and bone.  Sound on the move.   Love to see her in full bloom.

1ST         BUFFMYSTER POLARBEAR (MRS S GARWOOD).  Pretty 2 year old white.  Another who was out of coat on the day.  Pretty head with nice dark eye,  nice length of neck and balanced angulation and neat bone.  Moved out well, but a little wide in front.

1ST         BUFFMYSTER SUNDAY BEST (MRS S GARWOOD).  Quality 3 year old black.  Coat not profuse, but of lovely quality.  She has correct square outline and made a super balanced picture on the stand.  She excelled on the move, which was a joy to watch – and it was this that tipped in her favour in the challenge.  BCC/BOS 

Open - Bitch

1ST         ISILME DAZZLE ME ( MRS R R GODRIDGE).  Lovely 6 year old sable.  Attractive head with good ear placement and eye shape, eye colour compatible with coat.  Profuse coat covering well-constructed body and nice bone.  Moved out well with good side gait and lovely and straight on the down and back.  Quality bitch.  RBCC.

2ND       OBERITZ TOPSY TURVY FOR WYCHLEA (MRS G & MRS C BRADBURY & SERMAN). 6 year old black with lovely feminine head and correct square outline, nice bone.   Not in full coat, but of good quality.  Not as clean on the move as 1.

3RD        MANZAMAS MADE WITH PRIDE (SW IMP) (MRS J Y & MR A M CHAMBERS)
