Critique

My pleasure to be invited to judge this lovely breed and I requested the correct measure be made available.  I had some lovely quality exhibits and was spoilt for choice.  It was a pure delight to see the GSK’s in action today.

JD (1)

1^st.  Pearce, Francis & Dale’s Longsdale’s Cesar Chance.  12.6 mths, rich cream sable, oval dark twinkling alert eye, broad skull, small high set triangular ears, strong jaws contain scissor bite, he’s compact standing square, great outline, movement is brisk and true.  Well presented. 

PGD (1)

1^st.  Dyer’s Longsdale Knightshade at Javarm. 2 yrs, correct size, a nice quality delightful deep black with breedy outline and correct double coat, oval oblique dark mischievous eye, lovely moderate stop, tight flews, scissor bite, short loin, stands square, moves soundly fore and aft.  Pushed RCC hard.

LD (3)

1^st.  Pearce, Francis & Dale’s Longsdales Pillow Talk. 3 yrs quality stunning black with broad skull narrowing to wedge shape on the nose. Eyes are dark obliquely set and full of fun.  Erect small ears are high set. Lovely flexible pasterns, stands square, short coupled, lovely high tail set, movement free and sound each way, pushed CC hard.  Reserve Dog CC.

2^nd Dyer’s Longsdale Knightshade at Javarm. (Was 1^st in PGD).

3^rd.  Gray & Gray’s Isilme Hobbit of the Shire.

OD (6) (Abs 2)

1^st.  Pearce, Francis & Dale’s Ir Ch Ch Longsdale’s Cool Rider. 4.5 yrs stunning quality black dog correct size, has a wonderful spitz silhouette I stood back to admire him, board skull narrows to wedge shape to nose, moderate defined stop, tight flews, oval shape dark eye is obliquely set and full of character, he has a fantastic well kept double coat that gives him a glamor look, he’s short coupled stands square and well balanced, loved his high tail set like a Spanish dancers fan, wonderful.  Movement is sound and free each way.  Perfectly presented and handled.  Dog CC.

2^nd.  Pearce, Francis & Dale’s Ch Longsdale’s Blame It On Me.  4 yrs, flashy cream, well balanced and stands square, he is keen to show with adorable dark twinkling oval oblique eye devoted to his handler.  Movement is free and purposeful. Very well presented.

3^rd.  Hill & Hill’s Fernando Z Temnych Noci at Cyfelin (Imp CZ)

VD (1)

1^st.  Hill, Gilraine & Gilraine’s Ch Cyfelin Rudna Romeo. 13.5 years, “Charlie’s” mum says this may well be his swan song.  A sprightly cream sable with a white face, his mum says it used to be black. He has such a loving expression and a full coat, erect ear, high tail set, plenty of ring presence.  An absolute joy and an honor to have him here today. Despite it being rather hot Charlie was determined to strutt his stuff in the ring and showed his heart out in the line up.  He fits under the measure and is every inch a Champion.

PB (2)

1^st.  Pearce, Francis & Dale’s Longsdale’s No More The Fool TAF NAF.  6.5 mths cream, a tad tall but has other endearing qualities, with a breedy outline assisted by high set tail and beautiful erect small triangular ears, stands square he shows and shows himself off with bags of ring presence, superb presentation and handling really getting the best out of this pup today.  Best Puppy In Breed.

2^nd.  Foster’s Bemojo Pearls of Honey.  8 mths smaller type out of coat and not showing so well, but has a sweet face and is good natured, a bit more training and she will be bouncing back.

LB (1)

1^st.  Pearce, Francis & Dale’s Orku Harmione Granger With Longsdale (IMP ISL).  3 yrs naughty black girl with the most mischievous dark oval eye, small triangular high set erect ears, she’s a good size and a real stunner with her well balanced frame in firm condition, short neck sits well on shoulder, she has a short loin, moderate hind angulation, and lots of attitude.  Moving soundly fore and aft, very well handled and presented. Pushing hard in the challenge. Reserve Bitch CC.

OB (3) (Abs 1)

1^st.  Pearce, Francis & Dale’s Ch Longsdale’s Dilemma.  7 yrs.  Stunning quality black bitch with a fabulous breedy silhouette, so much to like here its off the charts. She’s compact, with well knit frame, a spot on size, eyes are intelligent alert oval shape and obliquely set, ears are erect, high set and small. She has desired short well developed loin and moderate tuck up, level topline is retained on the move, an effortless sound mover showing herself off to perfection, her deep double coat is beautifully kept and she is well handled and presented.  She is easily capable to go on and on winning top honors for many years to come. Bitch CC & Best of Breed.

2^nd.  Hall’s Nardik Inky Dinky Doo.  6 yrs flashy brown/white parti a bit nervy but settled on the move. Pretty femme foreface, well knit frame, stands square. Moves freely.  Attentive to handler.  Very pretty girl and has adorable expression.
