RICHMOND CHAMPIONSHIP DOG SHOW

(9th September 2022)

My thanks to the committee for my invitation, and for being so thoughtfully looked after on the day by everyone involved with the show.

This was a sad day as the news of the death of HM The Queen was only a few hours old, and very much in everyone’s thoughts.

Although my entry was not great in numbers, I had no absentees. The show atmosphere was truly remarkable, with a rousing cheer for our special beginner entry. This clearly illustrates a good future for the breed if all newcomers are welcomed in this way.

1st: 1TRENDLE, Mrs C Lusam Cheeky Boy

8.5-year-old tall cream compact male of good character. Would prefer less rounded tips to ears. Good angles front and rear with good tail carriage. Carrying a little too much weight today. Could be more animated in movement.

Class 473 PD (1 Entries) Abs: 0

1st: CHAMBERS, Mrs J & GEPP-COX, Mrs B S J Bemojo Pearls of Wisdom at Musique

10-month-old correct sized cream boy with super pigment. Very much a baby still, and in need of more ring experience. Very good proportions, but occasionally on the table can look slightly stretched. Ears a little wide set at the moment. Front paws could be tighter. Good angles front and rear. Moved slightly close away and correct towards. Glimpses of a super sidegait. BPIB

Class 474 JD (1 Entries) Abs: 0

1st: SAUNDERS, Ms Rachael Radajasa's Agent Hamish at Brookwell

9-month-old tall cream male with super furnishings and condition. Would benefit from more experience on the table, but did settle as time went on. Rather stretched proportions in stance. Wide set ears. Paws could be tighter. Moved close away and toes in slightly towards. Good sidegait when settled.

1st: BARNES, Ms L & Wheaton, Miss L, Galvizach Mandala at Daraydala

2-year-old large brown and white parti colour male, with brown pigment. A real character. Would prefer a more compact skull, and tighter feet. Slightly stretched proportions. Was standing wide behind. Moved slightly close away, correct towards, with very good sidegait.

Class 477 OD (2 Entries) Abs: 0

1st: CHAMBERS, Mrs J & CHAMBERS, Mr A Ch Musique Born Legacy

4-year-old correct sized cream male with very good pigment. Lovely sweet yet masculine expression, although I would prefer a slightly higher ear carriage. Very good temperament. Shown in super coat and condition. Very correct body proportions, and a picture in stance. Moved correctly away and towards. Very animated on the move covering the ground well with a far reaching sidegait. Every bit the showman. DCC and BOB

2nd: GRAYER, Mrs Fiona Ch Radajasa's Henri Fiocca At Delgray

2.5-year-old tall white male with super dark pigment. Beautiful and expressive clean lined head. Lovely feet. Slightly longer body proportions than No. 1 in stance. Well balanced. Ever so slightly close away and towards. A good far reaching sidegait, covering the ground well. RDCC

2-year-old petite white bitch of correct size. Delightful temperament with the sweetest face and expression. Good body proportions and angles. Sensitively handled especially for the Best Special Beginners rosette. BSBIB
