Thank you to my stewards. From the results below you will see that one kennel dominated today. The time and effort needed to turn out so many dogs to this high standard of presentation for the show is no mean feat, and was much appreciated. The ability to consistently produce top quality conformation with the accompanying movement in this breed is no accident and takes years of dedication and careful breeding. Congratulations - you have set the bar high! It us up to the others to match it, and some are managing. Thank you to everyone. Some I would not want any larger and some no smaller, but soundness and type were the most important considerations overall.
JD (2) These two lovely youngsters were at opposite ends of the measure. Both so well proportioned and in balance.1 Pearce & Francis’ Longsdale’s Luv Me More. Cream youngster of 12.5 months. His bite is perfect scissor. In full, profuse coat presented to perfection. He excels on the move which is where he scored above 2nd place. RDCC. 2 Rogerson’s Nosregor Take It. Black boy with a stunning headpiece and a cheeky expression that melts you. Lost out today on his slightly untidy front movement where he just needs to tighten in elbows.
PGD (1) 1 Spence’s Spencerian I’m Too Sexy. 3 year old. Ex scissor bite, dark eyes, eye rims, lips and nose. A little apprehensive and fidgety on the table so it was a little difficult to assess him properly as I did not wish to frighten him. He was more settled moving than on the table so I hope he found the day not too worrying overall Persevere with him.
OD (4,1a) A class of three worthy champions. 1 Pearce & Francis’ Ch Longsdale’s Blame It On Me. 5 year old cream boy maturing well. Handsome headpiece. Lovely spring of rib and well ribbed back. Straight forelegs, well laid shoulders, standing on firm feet. Ex turn of stifle. So sound on the move. Pleased to award him the DCC & BOB. 2 Jackson & Minshall’s Ch Perrymere Just Bertie. Bert is on the ball! Totally alert, ready for action and what a little showman. Cream boy in ex coat with a lovely plume. Had a tendency to move a little wide in front today. 3 Rogerson’s Ch Ch Nosregor Willhe Surprise Ya.
VD (1) 1 Pearce & Francis’ Ch Longsdale Willie Win JW. At 13.5 years of age how wonderful is this dog, you would never guess his age. What a handsome package overall with his fabulous pigment of eyes, rims, lips and nose contrasting against his pale cream coat. Full of the joys of Spring. Well balanced angulation front and rear. Really stole my heart and pushed so hard in the challenge.
OB (3) 1 Pearce & Francis’ Ch Longsdale’s No More The Fool. Impeccably presented as usual from this kennel. You cannot help but admire the beautifully neat feet which are absolutely precise in footfall on the move. Playful and alert. Well put together in every aspect. RBCC. 2 Rogerson’s Nosregor Sister Sledge. Nice for size. 50/50 head proportions, neat ears. Short coupled with level topline. Moving out well with purpose. 3 Spence’s Spencerian Doggy Style Sh.CM.
VB (2) 1 Pearce & Francis’ Ch Longsdale’s Dilemma. Just when you think things cannot get better, this one comes into the ring. Almost 8 years old this gleaming black girl is exquisite. Wedge shaped head with high set, expressive ears. Perfect silhouette. Running on pistons. One I would love to own. BCC & BVIB. 2. Spence’s Seirian Skydancer With Spencerian. At 9.5 years old this girl has a perfect bite and teeth. Nicely balanced with a level topline.
