GERMAN SPITZ (KLEIN)
This is my Mark2 version, the prompt original having disappeared somewhere
in the ether between my mobile and OD! Thanks for your patience in not
reporting me!
A goodly turn out, with 22 of the original 25 making it, and of quality as some 7 Chs
were present.
My homework was the brilliant Club of GB extended breed standard as written by the
late, great Wendy Boorer in 2005.
There was no Category 2 issue.
Thank you for keeping me right on colour descriptions, given that all are possible.
SBD (1 Entries) Abs: 0
1st:MOORE, Mr & Mrs & Mr R & H & B Pommary Mark My Word
quality 4.5 yrs orange sable; clean wedge of a head & of approx 50:50 proportions;
oblique eye; highset, small ear; well pigmented; clean front; modest neck & angles;
all but square; double coated; tail curled over back; moved brisk & true on his cat
feet; an ideal exhibit to "get my eye in". Best SB.
MPD (3 Entries) Abs: 0
1st: ANDREW, Ms Karoline Claran Court Your Breath; 7m cream showing so
much quality & sheer breed type in such a secure frame for his age of ideal
size; scored in eye & ear; clean wedge with moderate stop; all but square;
rounded rib & short loin; gd coat already & tail carried straight off level back;
confident & "together" mover on cat feet; great potential. BPIB
2nd: CHAMBERS, Mrs J & CHAMBERS, Mr A Claran Court You Looking for
Musique; litter brother; pushing the measure; the same quality when it comes
to breed type; dense pigment; oblique eye; great shape with ample rib;
squarely built; quality coat; smart moving; will be interesting to see how their
sibling rivalry works out as they hit the upcoming shows.

1st: PEARCE, Mr Gary & FRANCIS, Mr Dale Longsdale's Luv Me More ; just
12.5m cream who, despite being barely a teenager, immediately took my eye
& held it as representing all I was looking for as he ticked all those Wendy
Boorer demands; Nosregor sired; clean wedge & textbook in eye & ear with
"fill" under the eye; all modest & unexaggerated thereafter be it in neck or in
angles or in tuck-up; capacious & almost cylindrical in body that was almost
square; has required length of leg beneath brisket; double coated with profuse
neck & shoulder frill; took it all up a notch when he moved being so sound as
to see straight through him & so brisk & light on cat feet with ex tail carriage;
hope am proved right as he is campaigned. Dog Challenge Certificate & BOB
2nd: ROGERSON, Miss L J NOSREGOR TAKE IT ALL; 12m blk; looked at me a
little round in eye & he was not as short as yet that is perfectly reasonable,
given he is barely out of puppy; beautifully balanced, within an unexaggeratedframe, where "moderate" was key; his potential is unarguable.

1st: PEARCE, Mr Gary & FRANCIS, Mr Dale Longsdale's Cesar Chance; rising
2yrs cream sable son of VD; best name of the day; clean wedge head; dark,
oblique eye with blk rims; small triangular ear; moderate neck & angles;
short-coupled; double coated; flattish croup allowed high, curled tail; went
brisk & true on ex feet; another of this breeding looking title bound.
2nd: HOLMAN, Ms Miranda Yamakasi TAF NAF; blk of 20m; ex eye & ear,
albeit too short, and relatively thick, in muzzle; gd bone; all but square;
buoyant & alert; highset, curled tail; harsh topcoat; markedly short on the leg;
taken overall, his head & outline hinted at Pomeranian.

Cracking class with 5 Chs present
1st:PEARCE, Mr Gary & FRANCIS, Mr Dale Ch Longsdale's Blame It On Me;
5yrs cream with outstanding blk pigment; 100% sound & briskly active;
almost square with barely any tuckup to give that cylindrical shape; clean
wedge; high, small ear; eye just looked a touch round; ex tail carriage;
maturely double coated enhanced by abundant frill.
2nd:GRAYER, Mrs Fiona Ch Radajasa's Henri Fiocca At Delgray; 3.5yrs cream
of obvious Ch quality; glorious blk pigment; oblique eye & triangular ear;
almost square; well ribbed up & rounded; beautifully coated; brisk moving;
just a hint of a rise in backline, on circuiting,
to his well placed & curled tail.
3rd:CHAMBERS, Mrs J & CHAMBERS, Mr A Ch Musique Born Legacy
VD (1 Entries) Abs: 0
1st:PEARCE, Mr Gary & FRANCIS, Mr Dale Ch Longsdale Willie Win JW ;
unbelievable, at 11.5yrs, cream with a full set of teeth & blk lips; expressive
oblique eye courtesy of blk rims; small ears; clean wedge; so gd in both rib &
loin; flattering double coat enhanced his correct proportions throughout;
100% sound, so as to see through him, with an apparently effortless side gait;
as my notes state he is indeed "a class act" and, as the catalogue shows, he is

1st: BAGSHAW, Mrs A J Pommary New Beggining; 8m red sable; so pretty with
a lovely eye, well pigmented; touch over narrow through muzzle; correct in
ear & stop; bit babyish loose in front but absolutely firm behind; level to a
well-placed & carried tail; well knit already; showing plenty of promise.

13m brown; classy youngster destined for the top; lovely eye set in a cleanwedge; great shape; correct leg length; well ribbed; ex tailset & carriage:
double coated; so light moving & active.

rising 18m cream of classic breed type & a daughter of VD; broad, nearly flat,
skull; oblique eye with blk rims; highset ear; blk lips; almost square; well
boned; cat feet; glamorous coated that is off-standing & harsh-textured;
moderately angulated, firm hindquarters with a sound hock that enabled a
positive light-footed action; did come on a tad close; wholly unaware, until
writing this, of her status but always reassuring to discover not the first to

was so pretty & feminine but with no loss of strength, where needed; scored in
skull, wedge, ear & truly fabulous eye; level; well rounded in rib; level; almost
square; highset, curled tail; hard outer coat; easy, active mover on her cat feet;
deserves to make the grade.
OB (3 Entries) Abs: 1
1st:FERRY, Miss Jenna & FERRY, Mrs Sue Ch Longsdale's Little Bird With
Ferrybelle; 6.5yrs cream sable; so here I was thinking I had found something,
and someone, special & new but realised on "signing" later that I was
mistaken! Superb b.with the most arresting outline; breadth to skull; best of
ears; oblique eye; clean cheeks; muzzle half length of head; moderate in all
respects inc some forechest; capacious rib; barely a tuckup & level to give that
almost cylindrical body shape; textbook coat; spot on soundness with a light
touch & shown to utmost advantage; got the loudest cheer of the day, come

2nd:PEARCE, Mr Gary & FRANCIS, Mr Dale Ch Longsdale's Dilemma; 8yrs blk;
one of the best heads of the day in all respects; clean, well set, neck; almost
square; level; hard outer coat; found her a little deep & she was that bit
narrower out & back.

1st: SERMAN, Mrs CHRISTINE Wychlea Lady In The Mirror By Tymy; quite
remarkable 10.5yrs blk; rather classy & with a confident attitude; clean wedge
head; eye a tad round; almost square; great shape being well ribbed up;
desired leg length; gaited well with highset, curled tail; straight topcoat
abundant around neck with frill; she was, however, crossing in front.
