Critique
Some real quality Mittels on display today. One or two could have had tidier bites and as in the Kleins there was evidence of wet eyes which should be addressed by the breeders.
PD (3). 1 and BPIB Powells’ Desaria Aurelius. Top quality, all male and beautifully presented eye catching black with silver shadings. Seriously considered for RBD but just needs to body up a touch more and tighten in front movement. Loved his head for balance, the quality shows through in his eye shape and colour, earset and size and correct ratio of skull to muzzle. Correct Bite. Not a thing I would alter at his age and so correctly balanced nose to tail. Excellent bone, body, angles, tail set and although still a little loose in front at the moment is sound in action from all perspectives; 2 Garbutt/Heslops’ Nixtev Fyreblade. Black and another quality p who is a lovely example of the breed. Head not quite the appeal of 1, but never the less good with beautiful eye shape and set. Has not yet got the depth of body or finish of BP and needs more ring control as he pulled sideways on the lead making movement difficult to assess; 3 Purves’ Bulabs Spirit In The Sky.
JD (4). 1 Beards’ Wyndlee Ghost In My House. Excellent body on this cream with everything balanced and in proportion. Head appealed for shape and strength of muzzle and well moulded nose to top skull with a delightful dark eyed expression. Dead level top line and high set tail. Good angles front and rear with parallel forelegs and sound rear end but could be tidier with his elbows corning towards although nice brisk side action; 2 Garbutt/Heslops’ Nixtev Fyreblade.
PGD (6). 1 Hickmans’ Nosregor Cadberys Dream Boy At Kateandy. Palest cream with lovely outline. Pleasing clean lipped head with dark oval eyes but could be more animated and use his ears to better advantage. Excellent top line and tail set. One of the few with a forechest. Good angles, legs and feet. A touch high stepping in front but v sound behind; 2 Beards’ Wyndlee Ghost In My House; 3 Connors’ Galvizach Papa Lazaroo.
LD (2). 1 and RBD Beards’ Wyndlee Oldcharm Prinz Eugen. Eye-catching red gold sable. Most attractive head and lively expression with dark eyes and pigment and used his ears to enhance a masculine well moulded head. A lovely Spitz with sound solid body and good construction. Although could be a touch tighter in front pasterns standing, this did not affect his movement which was correct from all all angles; 2 Rogersons’ Nosregor Mystical Myth (JW). Palest cream and finer all through than the winner here. A really classical outline on the stack. Elegant head with beautiful eyes and ears. A v handsome younger male with a bright future. Not a thing to alter on him at this stage. Handled with such expertise but not settled and throwing his front today.
OD (5). 1 and BD, BOB and G3 Powells’ Desaria Disraeli. Top notch sable who was ultra sound and so stylish. Such a beautiful shape on the stack and so correct corning and going with even foot fall in profile and keeping his short strong back level at all times. Beautifully sculptured head, glorious eyes, dark and alert, best of ears and set. Neck held at the perfect angle joins an excellent wither and front assembly. Well boned through to tight feet. Front and rear angles compliment each other hence the accurate brisk action; 2 Hills’ CR. Kilima Chacmool. Beautifully presented cream with liver pigment. Superior male with quality head, good bone and body and excellent top line and tail set. Not moving as well as his v sound construction would indicate he should, but a number were lethargic in the v hot sun today; 3 Curson/Hindleys’ Shelayne Could It Be Magic.
PB (3). 1 Purves’ Bulabs Truly Scrumptious. Pale cream, with sweet expression but not using her ears and seemed out of sorts which showed in her tail carriage. Good bone and decent body shape but a bit bum high at this stage. V loose on the move; 2 Bridles’ Abbeyhome Abundance In Black. Beautifully presented and glossy topcoat on this black but flat to the body with absolutely no undercoat Sweetest head and most appealing expression but long in back and body and loose on the move.
JB (4). 1 Sandersons’ Galvizach Fredrika Via Danack. Smaller brown who has a lovely compact shape with decent bone for size and excellent high tail set. Attractive head with nice balance and correct bite. A bit jumpy on the move and not using her well angulated quarters to advantage; 2 Lacks’ Abbeyhome Heavens Delight. Longer cast black with pretty head and used her ears well. Is stretched too much behind on the stack. Strong top line and high tail set but such a fidget on the move.
PGB (2). 1 Purves’ Rossfort Brocade At Bulabs. Gold with liver pigment and pretty head. Top line level and angles are sound but would like a touch more bone all through. Moves parallel front and rear; 2 Roberts’ Veratina Bonnie Blue. V feminine black who did not want to show and seemed out of sorts today in the heat. Made it difficult for her handler.
LB (4). 1 Hickmans’ Wyndlee Mistie At Kateandy. Striking blue coat on this feminine lady but would not use her ears and insisted on dropping her tail. Such a shame because I liked her. Lovely balance with good bone and sound in angles. Happier on the move where she showed a brisk even stride; 2 Hills’ Wyndlee Egyptian Queen Of Kilirna. Sable with a lovely short strong back and most attractive silhouette being balanced and sound in body but hands on carries too much weight at the moment and not as accurate moving as winner; 3 Roberts’ Kuseley Fracas At Shamead.
OB (4). Really splitting hairs here a pleasure to judge such quality bitches. 1 and BB Garbutts’ CH. Runfold China Crisis At Nixtev. V soundly constructed and beautifully presented feminine cream. Stands and moves with such style and balance. Correct for size, Beautiful head of correct proportions, equal muzzle length to skull, eyes and ears set right and giving bright alert expression. Moderate neck set smoothly to well angulated front with parallel legs and small neat feet. Good top line, loin and tail set with arched rib and depth down to elbow. Rear quarters have decent turn of stifle and parallel rear pasterns. Moved with enthusiasm and correct from all angles keeping her outline and covering the ground; 2 and RBB Rogersons’ CH./Int. CH/Ir. CR. Shelayne Minstrel Show. Beautiful black handled and presented to perfection. Excellent body lines and good bone through to tight feet. A lovely headed b. Correct from nose to tail and a real stunner standing. Although v accurate on the move did not have the animation of 1 st. which was the deciding factor in the end; 3 Curson/Hindleys’ Shelaynes Little Show Girl.
