GERMAN SPITZ (M)
Poor movement & a few undersize exhibits were a concern & coats were also a problem with some. However, my winners were most pleasing & I would like to thank the ringside for their sporting behaviour during judging.
PD (4). 1 Curson & Hindleys Shelayne Little Drummer Boy. A baby, but could promise much. Lovely eye, gd pigment, neat ears & feet. Will no doubt grow on a bit. Once settled, moved out well; 2 Poultneys Draydala Wolfgang At Sirchray. All over the place & quite a challenge for his handler. Gd breadth of skull, firm topline & correct tailset. Erratic movement; 3 Chambers Musique Executive Decision.
JD (2). 1 Beechs Galvizach Luck Of The Irish In Sandkarah. Nicely coated black, compact & pleased in head, pigment & eye. Clean neck & firm topline. Moved adequately; 2 Curson & Hindleys Shelayne Lord Of The Ring. Longer cast than 1 & needs his coat. Reasonable head proportions, gd dentition & tailset ok. Moved somewhat erratically.
PGD (5). 1 Claytons Studholme Wizard Of Ozz. Head proportions, ears & neck were all plus points. Just enough bone & pleased in coat & movement; 2 Nelmes Druitz Huckleberry. Nicely made, but short on coat & not putting all in. Gd headpiece, neat feet. Would like to see him on another day.
LD (8). 1 Powells Desaria Flash Gordon At Brookwell. Put down in gd coat & condition & pleased in head, eye & neck. Compact with gd rib & strong quarters. Moved well fore & aft; 2 Days Loki’s Gold Ingot. Another exhibit so well presented with a firm topline on the move & gd tailset. Not quite as balanced in head & body as 1, but scored in eye, ears & feet; 3 Chambers & Rogersons Druitz Corncracker For Teamspitz.
OD (4). 1 Hickmans Nosregor Cadberys Dream Boy AT Kateandy. DCC & BOB. Put down in cracking condition & well handled. Balanced all round with most pleasing head & skull, showing gd wedge & correct stop. Eye, ears & neck were all plus points, held firm topline & moved out freely; 2 Powells Ch Desaria Disraeli At Brookwell. RDCC. Also presented in gd coat & condition & covered the ground so well on the move. Compact, plenty of rib & bone & pleased in neck & topline. Just preferred head & expression of 1.
PB (3). 1 Orchards Spilmah Silent Witness. BP. Nicely made, pleasing outline & headshape. Just enough bone & once settled moved briskly with firm topline; 2 Andrews Runfold Hap Hazard. A complete baby & what a handful. Nicely made & scored in head & eye. Should come on for this outing.
PGB (6). 1 Pooleys Wyndlea Fallen Angel From Azkaban. Neat mover, compact & well ribbed up. Level topline & neat feet. Nice headpiece & pleased overall; 2 Claytons Studholme Shell Fire. Much smaller type than 1 & not too happy. Short on coat, but pleased in outline. Steady mover; 3 Beechs’ Galvizach Black Velvet Of Sandkarah.
LB (3). 1 Claytons Studholme Kiss An Tell. Quite a character, smallish in stature, but compact & balanced on the move once settled. Gd breadth of skull & neat ears & feet.
OB (3). 1 Wrights Tempore Rights Reserved At Drion (Imp). BCC. Just right for size & shape, cracking mover & nicely made. Balanced in head & body & scored in eye, ears & neck. Nicely presented & handled to perfection; 2 Rogersons GB Ch Gor Ch Shelayne Minstrel Show. RBCC. Quality all round from this veteran, steady mover with pleasing head & expression, plenty of bone, clean neck & firm topline. Pleasure to go over her.
