Critique
MITTEL: My apologies for the late report, personal business called me away from home and my notes for longer than anticipated. My thanks to the exhibitors for their patience on a cold afternoon and I was pleased that my BOB just made the Group ring in time. It was a small entry but I found some excellent dogs.
PD. (3). 1. Beard’s, Wyndlee Chandera Spectre. Orange dog with lovely proportions to both head and body. Excellent expression, eyes and ears. Moved correctly coming and going with good side gait, holding his topline. Should give his sire a run for his money when mature. 2. Powell’s, Desaria Bobbie Brown at Brookwell. Another quality puppy with much to admire. Preferred the head and balance of the winner, but this chap has a good front and moved well. 3. Day’s, Danack’s Bill Bailey.
JD. (4). 1. Chamber’s, Musique Executive Decision. Attractive square dog who moved very well. Good head, eye and mouth. Firm body, quality sable coat. 2. Mullholland’s, Umshuwbwe Faccia Die Angelo. Nice young dog with good construction and body. Pleasant head, not the quite the rear movement of the winner and not as finished, but shows good promise. 3. Curson and Hindley’s, Shelayne Christmas Special.
PGD. (8). 1. Stevens’, Galvizach Playboy. Excellent head and ears. Good construction with nice front and excellent body. This dog moved strongly. 2. Beard’s, Wyndlee Blue Horizon. Blue dog pushing winner hard. Admired his construction and sound firm body. Good head and correct coat. 3. Curson and Hindley’s, Sheylayne Lord of the Ring.
LD. (5). 1. Heslop’s, Nixtev Fyreblade. Dog I have admired before and have not changed my opinion of him, still admire his head, expression, body proportions, topline and movement. On the day the CC winner and RCC winner just scored over him with more compact loin, but I am sure his day will come. 2. Powell’s, Desaria Flash Gordon at Brookwell. Lovely dog with harsh coat. Good head, ears and eye. Well made body. Preferred front and neck of winner. 3. Butler’s, Galvizach Phixons Flyer.
OD. (6). 1. Beard’s, Wyndlee Ghost in my House. CC and BOB. Dog who did not give his all last time I judged him. This time he showed me all the goodies. His excellent ears and expression was well as his wonderful eye and pigmentation and he stood correctly on his forehand. Beautiful proportions standing over just the right amount of ground. Firm well developed body with short strong loin. Correct harsh stand off coat and a sound mover from all angles. 2. Chamber’s, Ch. Druitz Corncracker for Teamspitz. RCC. Dog who has matured so well since I last judges him. Good head proportions. Nice eye and pigmentation. Well developed body and loin. Moved well. Just preferred head of winner.
VD. 1. Pooley’s, Rossfort Apollo. 11 years old cream. Up to size. Quality dog of good construction, showing the youngsters how to move. Particularly in his rear movement.
PB. (2). 1. Clayton’s, Studholme Loving Lass. Pretty cream bitch with lovely head and expression. Needs time to knit together but very promising. 2. Beard’s, Wyndlee Chandera Dotty Dotty. Aptly named. Active b/w parti with feminine head and nice eye. A little bit on her toes which spoilt her movement but two happy promising puppies.
JB. (4). 1. Williams’, Daraydala Coco Chanel at Druitz. Liked this brown very much. Medium size within the standard. Good eye and feminine expression, good ears and mouth. Well constructed overall and though short of coat, texture was good. Moved out well. 2. King’s, Grizwold Inabikari. Well constructed bitch with good head and eye. Correct loin. Disappointed on the move. 3. Daraydala Witchcraft.
PGB. (3). 1. Butler’s, Phixons Miss Kizzi. Very strong but well constructed and balanced bitch. Good head proportions, nice ear and eye. Moved out soundly. 2. Williams’, Druitz Misty Fall. Well coated sable bitch not as well balanced as winner. 3. Clegworth’s, Daraydala Witchcraft.
LB. (5). 1. Williams’, Daraydala One for the Boys. RCC. Br/white parti. Not an immediate stunner apart from her colouring, but a very sound well bodied bitch. Well constructed and proportioned with a good front, tightly knit. Feminine in head and outlook and moving with even footfall and level topline. 2. Claytons’, Studholme’s Kiss and Tell. Pretty white bitch, not the body or movement of winner. 3. Powell’s, Desaria Fanny Ann at Brookwell.
OB. (1). 1. Ch. Nixtev Fyrefly JW. Classy black bitch who combines strength with femininity. Lovely head, ears, eye and mouth. Well constructed and proportioned body. Everything fitting together correctly and a good steady mover. In the challenge just lost out on coat missing in strategic position on the day.
