It was not a big entry but the depth of quality was excellent. I had some lovely dogs to handle & some hair splitting decisions to make. The CC winners made a cracking pair. I am sorry my notes are briefer than normal, they are mainly from memory as it was too cold to write legibly & too noisy to tape.

MPD 1 Beard’s Wyndlee Buffalo Soldier, most promising parti, short coupled & sturdy with good harsh coat, well developed for age & moving soundly. PD (3,1a) 1 W Buffalo Soldier; 2 Hookway & Bentley’s Beaulion Are We Bovered, promising puppy black with good head, eye & coat. Preferred tailset of 1 & not quite as settled on the move. JD (1) A. PGD (4) 1 Hill’s Wyndlee Yin Of Sobriety, upstanding parti, good head, well proportioned body with good bone & substance, good front, excellent coat, sound mover; 2 Blight’s Rosechow Erik, different type, very compact neat dark sable, good head, harsh coat, balanced all round & sound mover; 3 Hookway & Bentley’s Desaria Luka mit Beaulion. LD (6) 1 Dickinson’s Nixtev Inferno, o/s, lovely head & expression, excellent pigmentation, well proportioned with good bone, well coated, lovely dog but unsettled in the challenge & did not show his many attributes to advantage; 2 Hookway & Bentley’s Wyndlee Earl Grey with Beaulion, loved this blue dog’s head & outlook with its Spitz expression, upstanding & well proportioned, covered the ground well, well prepared harsh coat; 3 Winser’s Pennypot Enigma. OD (4) Such a quality class, a pleasure to judge. 1 Hewett’s Ch Spellcast Talk To Me, black stallion type of dog, beautiful head with excellent eye, ear & flat skull, correct proportion of leg to body depth, well ribbed up, short strong loin, tail well set on, excellent coat & a sound mover holding his excellent topline at all times. CC & BOB; 2 RCC, Beard’s Ch Wyndlee Chandra Spectre, orange, lovely head & expression, well pigmented, good front & body, lovely coat & sound mover; 3 Chambers & Rogerson’s Ch Druitz Corncraker for Teamspitz.

PB (1) 1 Clayton’s Studholme Diamond Firevery, feminine black, immature but teaming with quality, loved her head, eye & ear, good expression, excellent proportions & outline, good texture coat. BP. JB (2,1) 1 Moir’s Nixtev Liberty at Jansanleis, lovely youngster, well pigmented cream with good eye, ear & feminine Spitzy outlook, development about right for age, well proportioned & a sound mover; 2 Durham’s Spellcast Urban Spirit, smaller sable with excellent harsh coat. Preferred head of 1. PGB (3) 1 Beard’s Wyndlee Chandra Dotty Dotty, very attractive parti, pleasing head with good eye & ear, well bodied & well proportioned, good profile, well coated, an excellent mover, not affected by the cold & rain she strode out in the challenge to win RCC; 2 Clayton’s Studholme Three Kisses, well pigmented cream who was not happy on the day. LB (4) 1 Clarke’s Runfold Frantic Freda, cream with excellent harsh coat & good body, moved well; 2 Bridle’s Abbeyholme Abundance In Black, sorry no legible notes. OB (3) A super quality class to judge. 1 Orchard’s Pennypot Enchantress with Spilmah, loved this feminine classy little bitch, lovely head & expression, so square with well developed body & good bone, held topline at all times & moved out soundly. CC; 2 Chambers’ Ch Nosregor Bewitched for Musique, most beautiful head on this brown bitch, firm body & well prepared excellent coat, moved a dream in this class but tightened up when challenging for RCC, possibly due to the worsening conditions; 3 Beard’s Danack’s Winnie The Witch.
