GERMAN SPITZ MITTEL
My thanks to the committee for a most enjoyable day. Since I last judged the breed, heads have much improved with flatter skulls and good dentition. All dogs were within the measure and temperaments and presentation was first class. I was delighted with the quality of my winners.
PD. (5). 1. Beard's, Wyndlee Huggy Bear. Chocolate of 8 months. Balanced head with neat high set ears, expressive eyes, moderate stop and good wedge. Compact body, adequate bone. Straight forelegs and good hindquarters. Tight tail set and level topline which he kept on the move giving a good outline. Thick coat of good colour. His name suits him! He should have a good future. BP. 2. Hewett's, Spellcast Secrets and Lies. Cream of 6 months in good coat and quite mature for age. Pleasing head with correct muzzle to head length, good mouth. Short coupled with plenty of bone and substance. Neat feet and correct tail carriage. 3. Beard's, Wyndlee Buffalo Soldier.
JD. (6). 1. Beard's, Wyndlee Huggy Bear. 2. Beard's, Wyndlee Buffalo Soldier. Orange and white parti colour of 10 months. Placed third in Puppy. In this class, he had settled and moved well, hence his placing. Good overall construction with well balanced head and almost square outline. He looks very impressive standing. Well boned forelegs and hindquarters. 3. Mulholland's, Zephon Nebula Rubiestar. Black with profuse coat of good texture. Good head pattern with correct dark eye and pigmentation. Good body shape but tail set could be better.
PGD. (2). 1. Mountain's, Daraydala Flash No Cash. Wolf sable in good coat. Nicely balanced head with well shaped eye and good mouth. Compact and close coupled. Straight forelegs, tight elbows. Moderate hind angulation and high tail set. Moved well both ways. 2. Clayton's, Galvizach Armarni for Studholme. Well proportioned but slightly lacking in coat which made him look longer in the body, but he is quite compact with good tuck up. Pleasing head and high tail carriage. Typical Spitz temperament as his buoyancy and over enthusiasm unfortunately spoilt his movement.
LD. (6). 1. O'Loughlin's, Luibice Crazy Diamond for Caolita JW. Very striking white dog with profuse coat groomed to perfection. Nicely balanced head with flat skull, lovely dark eye, neat ears, good wedge, correct pigmentation and good mouth. Good neck and sound construction. In hard muscular condition which showed in his correct movement. RCC. Am sure his day will come. 2. Hill's, Wyndlee Yin of Sobriety. Black and white parti colour of good make and shape. Nice head with attractive eye and neat ears. Good body with adequate bone. Well ribbed. Very well presented with a gleaming coat of good texture. 3. Winer's, Pennypot Enigma of Lysebourne.
OD. (7). Lovely class of quality dogs. 1. Hewett's, Ch. Spellcast Talk to Me JW. Loved this very masculine dog. So very well balanced in head with super expression. Sound well muscled body of correct proportions which is topped with a well groomed black offstanding coat of correct texture. In excellent condition. He oozes quality. Excelling in bone and substance. Sound on the move, he also stands naturally four square giving a good outline. CC and BOB. 2. Chamber's, Ch. Druitz Corncracker for Teamspitz JW Sh CM. Cream. Perfectly groomed and again a top quality Spitz. Ideal size, slightly lighter in bone than the winner, but of sound construction and a worthy Champion. Good head pattern with expressive dark eyes and correct pigment. Moved well in this class, but hind movement not so positive in the challenge. 3. Powell's, Ch. Desaria Disraeli at Brookwell.
PB. (2). 1. Clayton's, Studholme Diamond Fire. Very feminine black of almost 12 months who still needs to mature. Pleasing head pattern with high ear set and good mouth. Would like a little more substance which should come with maturity. Good coat in super condition. Moved well. 2. Mulholland's, Zephon Crystal Warrior. Gold sable of good proportions giving an almost square outline. Appealing head with dark eye, neat ears correctly placed and good pigmentation. Coat of good texture and neat cat feet. Preferred movement of winner.
JB. (5). 1. Beard's, Beaulion Anastacia in Wyndlee. Black of nice size and shape with good bone. Feminine head of correct proportions with sweet expression. A little overwhelmed by the occasion, slightly dropping her tail when standing, but she carried it correctly when moving. If she learns to relax she should do well as she is a quality bitch. 2. Polleston's, Beaulion Amethyst at Kelham. Cream. Just out of puppy. Still needs to mature and not quite in full coat, but the texture is good. Balanced head with moderate stop and good wedge, ears right on top and very mobile which she used non-stop. Typical alert Spitz temperament. Neat cat feet. 3. Durham's, Spellcast Urban Spirit.
NB. (1). 1. Beard's, Beaulion Anastacia in Wyndlee.
PGB. (1). 1. Hall's, Spilmah Affair to B at Puffnstuf. Attractive black and white parti colour with coat so well presented. Well shaped feminine head with good length of muzzle, correct stop, well placed eye and good ear carriage. Compact body, adequate bone. Level topline and good tail carriage giving a nice profile. Good brisk movement.
LB. (4). 1. Thurston's, Rossfort Xanadu from Lubice. Cream of ideal size. Balanced head with flat skull, good pigmentation, expressive eyes and good ear set. Well boned. good forelegs, moderate hind angulation with strong hocks. Level topline. A really sound mover beautifully presented in gleaming coat. 2. Pooley's, Wyndlee Fallen Angel from Azkaban. Another cream who also had excellent movement. A profuse coat of correct texture covered a compact body of good proportions with plenty of bone and substance. Good chest, well ribbed and in hard condition. A well proportioned attractive head and expression completed the picture. 3. Rolleston's, Runfold Jay Jay at Kelham.
OB. (4) 1. Chamber's, Ch. Nosregor Bewitched for Musique. Really top class bitch. Chocolate coat of correct texture and presented in beautiful condition. Perfectly balanced head with expressive eyes, neat ears and well filled foreface. Really well boned with correct body proportions and high tail set. A picture in profile and so sound on the move. A lovely feminine bitch. Well deserved CC. 2. Orchard's, Ch. Pennypot Enchantress with Spilmah. Another lovely bitch this time a black with a coat that shone. Compact with good bone, good ribbing, tight elbows. Short loin and moderate hind angulation. Lovely head with neat ears and good dentition. Correct brisk movement. RCC. 3. O'Loughlin's, Caolita Virago.
