German Spitz Mittel
PD (1) 1 Chambers’ Musique Worth The Wait, whatever the story was behind the naming of this gorgeous chocolate showman, he is indeed something very special & well worth any wait involved, already so mature in coat, body, attitude & movement, at just 8 months with lovely head & small well set ears with a bright intelligent expression on well shaped eyes, excellent mouth, super for size, type, make, shape & balance, brisk energetic movement reflecting the excellence of conformation, most exciting. BP & RCC.
JD (3) 1 Williams’ Spellcast Talk To Da Paw at Trebettyn, well balanced black, up to size, in good condition, scored on hind angulation, well shaped head, intelligent expression & neat feet with good tail carriage, moved very well; 2 Smith’s Spellcast Jivetalking, black litter brother, not currently in fullest of coat, whose size I preferred, steady mover who was not using his ears as well as he might & gathered afterwards that he had had an unfortunate experience earlier on the way to the ring.
PGD (4) 1 Jones’ Flamuna Revelations at Runestone, beautifully marked sable in full mature coat, lovely head & expression, dark eyes, good shoulder, firm well made body, high set tail, well balanced, great showman, so sound & positive on the move; 2 Williams’ Druitz The Student Prince, well made balanced black with good tailset, shoulders, topline, feet & hindquarters, lovely small high set ears & well shaped head with an irresistible expression. Just a touch closer in movement than 1; 3 Depper’s Abbicher Black Diamond.
LD (6) 1 Andrew’s Claran Narada, typy black, so well made all through with good shoulders, hindquarters & topline, firm body, small well set ears & neat cat feet, so well balanced where he scored in the final challenge, in the best of coat & condition, ultra sound, brisk &
buoyant on move with good reach in profile, most impressive & looked even more so later in the group ring to be shortlisted by Jackie Kitchener. CC, his first, & BOB; 2 Pooley’s Wyndlee Short ‘N Sweet at Azkaban, charming black with smart white tipped paws, tail, blaze & chin, such a bright intelligent expression with small neat ears, in excellent coat & condition, moved very well; 3 Beard’s Wyndlee Desperado.
OD (4) 1 Williams’ Druitz Black Prince, very energetic black with dark expressive eyes, lovely for size, type & balance, a pleasure to handle as is so well made all through with firm body, good shoulders & hindquarters, very stylish on move; 2 Hewett’s Ch Spellcast Talk To Me, this outstanding black show dog’s conformation & balance cannot be denied to the point that I first gave him BOB from Junior at the breed club show in ’09 then RBIS at this very show three years ago, today was not his day &, sadly for me & doubtless his owner, looked bored & dull in showmanship & attitude, not moving well in front or with any reach in profile, lacking his erstwhile buoyancy & star quality, dare I suggest that he has now won enough to earn honourable retirement or at least some time out?; 3 Andrew’s Claran Shades of Fontleroy.
PB (2) A. JB (3) 1 Pooley’s Spellcast Talking Secrets with Azkaban, this charming character came with little coat but what she had was of excellent quality, lovely dark expressive eye, well set ears, so well made all through with good shoulders & hind leg, in hard condition, extremely sound & positive on the move, most attractive willing showgirl.
PGB (1) 1 Hall’s Flamuna Conversation Diva at Pufnstuf, rich cream who simply did not make the best of herself on the day being rather apprehensive on the table & keen on the obviously exciting smells on the floor, is actually very well conformed & balanced with excellent shoulder, tailset & carriage, sound moving, charming expression in dark eyes, that is when she chooses to use her ears, good pigment, only needs a little extra confidence as the promise is all there.
LB (4) 1 Orr’s Rossfort Andante with Sobriety, ultra glamorous with the darkest of pigment & eye contrasting sharply against her pale cream coat, beautiful head & bright intelligent expression, so well conformed all through with high set tail, super sound & positive on move, CC, which I gather is her second, may soon have her well deserved title; 2 Williams’ Druitz Follow That Dream, my notes say ‘lunatic chocolate’, who takes the buoyancy of the Standard all too literally & insisted on whizzing about all over the place with overenthusiasm but eventually settled to prove that she is actually very sound & positive on move, could have a touch more bone but otherwise well conformed all through; 3 Beard’s Goldenwhin Minnie The Minx.
OB (5) 1 Chambers’ Ch Nosregor Bewitched for Musique, beautiful typey chocolate who just had the edge on movement here, lovely head, eye & expression, compact & so well made with all the parts fitting neatly into the whole, firm compact body, good shoulder & hindquarters, in superb coat & condition, just to prove her worth I see she is dam of the outstanding Worth The Wait. RBB; 2 Beard’s Spawood Noholds Barred, gold of lovely proportions, beautifully made all through with well shaped head & eye with a most intelligent expression, a close decision for 1st place here, full of fun & enjoying herself to the full, went well; 3 Williams’ Druitz Melisande.
