Critique

While I never look forward to it, I did enjoy my judging. Temperaments as usual were wonderful with only one little girl not keen on being handled. Only 2/3 iffy mouths. I found more fronts than I like, to be disappointing and should be watched, also the size in bitches being rather small.

The end of judging filled me with emotion, thank you all for my wonderful surprise.

Minor Puppy Dog

1st DG & 0 Francis, Pearce & Roberts LongsdaIe's Rebel Rouser at Cwrtafon

Well grown, masculine, black, well off for substance & bone. Lovely head, eye and expression, well placed ears, good, well sprung body, his tail set finishes the picture, standing on neat feet, moving well. Doesn't need to grow any more. Best Puppy.

1st Mrs L Durhams Spellcast Hear Your Talk

Good sized black, a little apprehensive, very pleasing head & eye, good mouth, well bodied, good tailset when he chooses, reasonable bone, moving soundly.

1st Mrs S Mountains Hocombewood Jailhouse Roc

Well bodied brown with lovely wedge head and neat well placed ears. Good texture coat and tail set, balanced boy, moved well fore and aft.

2nd Mr R Poultneys Daraydala Meet Jo Black at Sirchray

I really liked this boy, he has such presence. Lovely head and expression. Well ribbed up and back & while having the framework, not yet the covering. Correct textured coat but not much of it. When this comes and he's bodied up, will watch him with interest, he is very stylish on the move

Sweet alert cream boy, pleasing head and expression. Well ribbed up and back, good tail set, move well fore and aft.

Lovely balanced orange sable dog. Good coat, super head and eyes, ear placement, good mouth, neat legs and feet, good tail set well ribbed up and back, short coupled. Moved well fore and aft.

Sable & White, a great favourite of mine. He has great body and bone, so masculine, moves so well fore and aft. Plenty of coat of correct texture, splitting hairs but preferred head of winner, although different in type, both stunning. RCC

Very happy cream girl, not the balance of one. Sweet head and expression, good ear placement and pigment. Good body & tail set, moves OK when she settles.

Blue with silver shadings. Pleasing head with neat, well placed ears. Well ribbed up and back, adequate bone, moved soundly, but very difficult to assess how true as very lively.

Black, very nice head and expression, neat, well placed ears, nice bone for size, well ribbed up and back, good tail set, moving soundly, could do with more coat.

Happy girl with pleasing head and expression, not quite the balance of 1. A little long in loin, good bone for size, moved soundly.

Very well balanced black, with coat of correct texture. Lovely head and expression, dark eye, good ear placement, correct bone for size, well ribbed up and back, good tail set completes picture. Moved soundly.

Super sable girl, totally feminine, carrying coat of correct texture. Well ribbed up and back, between good neck and tail set making a very well balanced picture. Lovely head, as feminine as her brother, the DCC is masculine. Lovely on the move BCC & Best of Breed

Lovely cream girl, lovely head & eye and good pigment, another well bodied between her tail set & good neck creating correct balance, moved well.

Super balanced black with lovely wedge head, expression and eye. Well bodied correct bone for size with neat feet. Her reach of neck and tail set complete the picture, moved well, just needs to tighten in front. Pushed for RCC, will watch her with interest.
