GERMAN SPITZ - MITTEL

VD (2) 1 BV & Res CC Smith’s Ch Spellcast Jivetalking what a cracking start to the day with this charming Ch who looks and moves out much better than his age might suggest!! Almost square in length/height proportions, delightful head, eyes, ears and expression, sparkling well groomed coat, tail bang on top and he is so light footed in action. Cracking breed type and so deserved this award. 2nd Saich’s Hocombewood Hot Toddy For Lindcoly this chocolate red sabel is a size smaller all through but undeniably male. Nicely headed, I would like a darker eye to soften the expression, well ribbed, good tail and in excellent coat. Not quite the swift, light stride of the winner, but basically sound.
PD (1) 1 BP, PG2, CC & BOB Pearce, Francis & Robert’s Longsdale’s Rebel Rouser at Cwrtafron never dreamt he would be my BOB at this stage, just that he was in outstanding bloom, is so well constructed, doesn’t want to grow much more at shoulder height but goes under the measure at this time. Loved the quality of his head, neat ears and super expression. Almost square, high set well carried tail and his profile and rear action were excellent. Action needs to settle when fore viewed but the plusses outweighed this. I believe he ended up PG2.
JD (2) 1 Durham’s Spellcast Hear Your Talk (ai) another black and he too must not grow on! Loved his attitude, good head carriage on a reasonable neck. Delightful head pattern, sparkling eyes and neat ears combining to give an appealing expression. His good texture4d coat was flawless in presentation and he came into his own on the move, balance, purpose and covering the ground with ease. 2nd Skilling & Folkes’ Spellcast Love Talk at Dacfolke this black too shows lots of promise as his proportions are so good, sweet head and expression, moderate neck, very well ribbed, good tail set and carriage and balanced angulations. At present he is not so true in front action as the winner nor quite the hock extension.
PGD (1) 1 Henry’s Musique Zircon this good sized rich chocolate coloured dog is so square, head handles well with neat ears and a delightful expression. Little neck, so well ribbed and short backed, tail correct and he is full of himself. Pulled to one side on the move but did enough.
LD (3/1) 1st Mountain’s Hocombewood Jailhouse Roc brown of good make and shape. Very nice head, flat skull, well rounded muzzle and well set and carried ears. I liked his spring of ribs, straight legs and tight feet. Densely coated I felt he could have moved out better as his construction implied he would be free striding and positive. 2nd Poultney’s Sirchray Star Trooper this cream was at a disadvantage as he was so out of coat. Scores in head quality, lovely expression and such neat ears, nicely ribbed, almost square in outline and such neat, tight feet. Moved around the ring with a balanced stride.
OD (5) In truth I was a bit disappointed with this class. 1st Smith’s Sobriety Suited And Booted cream which won here on the quality of his head and expression, so typical of what I seek in the breed. He is a good size, is well bodied and was in good bloom. Side on he moves with balance but he was toeing in badly when coming towards me. Perhaps it was the floor, but it put him out of consideration in the challenge. 2 Hall’s Grizzley Bear For Pufnstuf JW this chocolate dog is all male in head, is well rounded in rib, was in full jacket which only emphasised that he is top sized. Such a co-operative showman on the stack but he was pulling away to one side when moving. 3 Saich’s Lindcoly Mischief Maker
VB (1) 1 Purves’ Bulabs Leading Lady this creamer charmer was in between coats but it only swerved to show how well constructed she is. Full of like, ever attentive, game for anything gaze, I liked her size and proportions and she stepped around the ring like she owned it.

PB (5,2) 1 Gardner’s Daraydala Black Pearl almost won this class by being the best behaved and schooled as she did everything her handler asked!! Nice head with very expressive eyes, bit upright in shoulder and she needs to drop behind as her backline rises a fraction at present. Square, superbly coated and presented and she was easily the best and most settled mover in profile, 2 Saich’s Lindcoly Crazy Little Thing this cream was a bundle of mischief and gave her handler a hard time when moving. Nice skull and eyes, not the foreface of Pearl, well sprung ribs and perfectly set and carried tail. Her jacket was in excellent nick and with ring practice I am sure will do better! 3 Mountains’ Hocombewood Wonder of You
JB (1) 1 Hewett’s Spellcast Talking Point well balance head with good eyes, ears a bit on the large side for me, little neck, good ribcage, straight forelegs and neat feet. Very shapely and appealing on the stack as she shows so well. Side action balanced but another which was toeing in when fore viewed.
PGB (2) 1 & Res CC Drew’s Izlou Peanut Passion an ultra feminine, beautiful coated little black number which appealed to me the more I saw her. Pretty head and bright expression aided by such neat ears, moderate neck, excellent body and tail set, well muscled hindquarters and she is so well schooled moving with reach and drive on a loose lead. Surely a title contender. 2nd Saich’s Lindcoly Love Affair another black but sadly so out of coat. I liked her head proportions, not quite the super eye of the winner and her ears appeared bigger with the lack of furnishings. However, she is so well bodied, tail is correctly set and carried and she is at her best on the move showing brisk, light footed and positive action.
LB (3/1) 1 Rogerson’s Nosregor Lullabye pleasing black in good coat and bloom. Short coupled, in excellent coat. Head handles well, nicely ribbed and such neat feet. Steady in action as she circled the ring. 2 Barnes & King’s Izlou Walnut Forget JW this bitch is a little long in loin for me, otherwise she is well constructed and angulated. Very good head pattern with a delightful expression. She was in super bloom but she spoiled her chances of the red card by pulling to one side on the move.
OB (4) 1 & CC Moir & Moir’s Ch Jasanleis Envy JW despite being between coats I felt this cream was the class act amongst the bitches and was a thoroughly deserved winner of the CC. Loved her head and expression, length/height proportions almost square, so well bodied, straight forelegs, the neatest of feet and she is the ultimate showgirl as she does everything her talented handler asks. Shows non stop, moves out with a balanced even stride then stops and shows. 2 Taylor’s Clarmers Mischief Managed Under Tispitza another quality show off as she too co-operates so well with her handler. Black, expertly presented and handled, loved her head and expression, short coupled, jacket spotless in presentation and only lost out to the winner as she has not quite the profile balance nor positive front of Envy. But could easily obtain her crown. 3rd Williams’ Ch. Dulais Moonlight Over Paris At Trebettyn JW
