Critique

Thank you to the society for inviting me to judge at this well run show, to the exhibits who entered under me and to my steward for ensuring everything ran smoothly.

4 dogs of fabulous temperament who were a credit to their owner. Unfortunately they were a little over exuberant & gave their injured handler a hard time making movement very hard to assess.

Puppy (1)

598 Lindcoly Love Affair Black bitch just under a year old. Feminine exhibit with an overall pleasing shape, although a touch fine for me, medium size shown in good physical condition. Pretty head with good bite and lovely dark eye. Would prefer more width to muzzle but time is on her side. In between coats but what was there was of correct texture. Unfortunately she was unsettled on the floor and I was unable to assess movement. BPIB

Junior (1)

600 Lindcoly wishing on a dream 15 month Black bitch with a fabulous temperament; clearly enjoying her day out. Beautiful feminine head with gorgeous dark eye and neat ears. A well muscled exhibit, good length of neck leading into good shoulders. Good spring of rib, level topline and correct tailset. Not in full coat but what was there was of good quality. Neat feet. At the bottom end of the height standard and would prefer more size throughout. On the move she would not co-operate making it difficult to assess.  Pushed for BOB but unfortunately lost out on movement today. RBOB

Post Grad (2) 1abs

  601 Lindcoly blue moon - 15 month blue male, litter brother to my Junior winner. Large male at the top end of breed standard. In the middle of maturing this boy does have lots of qualities to like. Good substance and bone, strong throughout, excellent ribbing, correct topline, powerful rear complete with fabulous muscle tone. A little narrow in head at present but this could change with maturity, good eye shape but lighter in colour than required. Ears of correct set but would prefer them to be smaller. Unfortunately unable to assess movement.

Open  (3) 2 abs

599 Hocombewood hot toddy for Lindcoly   7 Y/O brown sable male shown in excellent condition throughout. Pleasing Square outline of good size with great substance and muscling.  Masculine head with correct wedge head, nice short muzzle topped with a good ear. Unfortunately his mouth isn’t correct which detracts from an otherwise quality dog. Correct ribbing topped with strong, level topline. Short Loin leading into firm rear quarters of the correct proportions. Neat catlike feet. Profuse coat of correct texture to finish the picture. Once settled his movement was brisk & positive all ways. BOB
