Bath General Championship Show 2025

German Spitz (Mittel)

VD (1,0)

1. Roberts’ Ch Longsdale Turning Tables at Cwrtafon. 9 yr old cream. Typey lad who was good hands on, presented a well balanced outline and shown in very good condition. Correct length of neck, firm topline, well sprung ribs with ribcage carried well back, muscular loin and curled tail set on high. Masculine head of good proportions, moderate stop, expressive oval-shaped eyes, ears set on well, good pigmentation and super bite. Moderate angles both ends and he stands nice and straight in front on excellent feet. Gaiting freely all through and goes very well when viewed in profile with excellent carriage. Good quality coat. Best Veteran.

PD (3,1)

1. Lewis’ Grizwold Pirate’s Tale at Louchelle. Two very different pups challenged in this class. The nod went to this 10 mth old black who pleased for type and was good to go over. Moderate length of neck, excellent topline, ribbing developing well, firm loin and tail set on high. Balanced head with good skull, dark expressive eyes, ears set on well and correct dentition. Pleasing angles front and rear and he stands on good feet. Moved freely on the down and back. Good coat. Best Puppy Dog.

2. Blight’s Longsdale’s Take It Easy. 11 mth old parti-colour who is up to size. Balanced outline with pleasing neck, level topline, ribbing extends well back, short loin and curled tail set on well. Masculine headpiece of good proportions, correct eye shape, good ears when using them and excellent dentition. Moderately angulated and stands on good feet. Moves out briskly on the go around, true behind and good enough in front but not quite the action of winner. Good quality coat.

JD (2,0)

1. Pearce & Francis’ Longsdales Look at Me Now. 12 mth old black of excellent type, presenting such a good outline and pleasing to go over. He is somewhat at the teenager stage as one would expect but everything is in the right place. Correct length of neck to balance, firm in topline, ribbing carried well back, short loin and high set curled tail. Quality head with masculine expression; good skull to muzzle proportions, excellent eye and ear, clean cheeks and scissor bite. Soundly constructed front and rear, stands true in front on excellent feet and certainly didn’t disappoint when gaiting. Good quality coat. RCC.

2. Lewis’ Grizwold Pirate’s Tale at Louchelle

LD (4,0)

1. Taylor’s Tispitza's Futterwacken. Rather varied class which saw this 4 yr old black come out on top. He appealed for type and presented a well balanced outline with correct length of neck, firm level back, correct ribbing, short in the couplings and tail set on well. Pleasing head and expression with good proportions, eyes of correct shape, ears set on well, clean cheeks and good dentition. Stands well naturally and has excellent feet. Gaiting freely on the down and back with good drive, front just a tad exaggerated on go around. Good coat. Shows himself off at all times.

2. Rogerson’s Cadasaro Georgie with Nosregor (IKC). 22 mth old cream who was blowing his coat on the day but he has lots to like. Well balanced with clean neck, firm through the topline, ribbing extends well back, nice short loin and curled tail set on high. Pleasing head and expression with good skull to muzzle proportions, oval-shaped eyes of good colour and set, correct ears, clean cheeks and scissor bite. Correct angles front and rear and moving freely fore and aft and goes briskly when viewed in profile.

3. Smith’s Dacfolke Barney Bear

OD (7,1)

1. Pearce & Francis’ Kelham Kind Hearted Longsdale. 2 yr old cream who I thought an excellent type and he was a delight to go over given his correct construction. Very well balanced with correct length to neck, firm level back, excellent ribbing, short in the couplings and curled tail set on high. Well proportioned, masculine head with excellent eye and ear, moderate stop, clean cheeks and scissor bite. Moderately angulated front and rear, stands straight in front on excellent feet and when gaiting, he is true on the down and back and moves out briskly on the go around with first class carriage. Shows at all times and superbly handled. Good quality coat. CC & BOB.

2. O’Leary’s Cadasaro Gerhard. 22 mth old cream out of a smaller mould than the winner but he also pleased for type and presented such a good outline. Neck of correct length to balance, level topline, ribbing carried well back, short muscular loin and curled tail set on well. Head of good proportions, oval-shaped eyes of pleasing colour and obliquely set, clean cheeks and nice dark pigmentation but overall preferred expression of winner. Pleasing angulation front and rear, standing on good feet and when gaiting he moves briskly with good carriage and was true when coming and going. Good coat.

3. Chapman’s Kitsune Notorious (AI)

PB (3,1)

1. Pearce & Francis’ Longsdale's Have Da Heart. Another class where two very different pups competed. My winner was this 11 mth old black. I thought her an excellent type, so very well balanced and she was so good hands on. Excellent neck, firm topline, ribbed well back and ribbing developing as it should be, nice short loin and curled tail set on high. Quality head with correct skull to muzzle proportions, first class eye and ear, clean cheeks and scissor bite. Soundly built front and rear, stands true on super feet and when gaiting, she went well all through and used herself at all times. Good coat. Best Puppy.

2. O’Leary’s Cadasaro Hanna. 8 mth old cream sable. Striking looking pup but a completely different type to the winner. Correct length of neck to balance, short back with firm topline, pleasing rib development, short in the couplings and curled tail set on well. Feminine headpiece with excellent eye and ear, well pigmented and correct dentition. Pleasing angles both ends and she stands well naturally in front and has good feet. Moving briskly with good carriage and true on the down and back. Good coat.

JB (1,0)

1. Taylor’s Tispitza's Avada Kedavra. 14 mth old black who very much appealed. She is so good for type and presented a nice compact outline. Moderately short neck, firm level topline, good ribbing, nice short loin and curled tail set on high. Quality head and expression; wedge-shaped of good proportions, super eye and ear, clean through the cheeks and scissor bite. Soundly constructed both ends, elbows close to the body, straight forelegs and excellent feet. Showing herself off to advantage and moved out briskly. Good quality coat.

PGB (2,0)

1. Nicholls’ Izlou Muffin Compares for Shyllar. 19 mth old black lacking in coat right now but she pleased for overall type and was good to go over. Correct length of neck to balance, level back, well ribbed back, short in the couplings and tail set on well. Nicely proportioned head with feminine expression; rather flat skull, moderate stop, oval-shaped eyes which are dark enough, correct ears and scissor bite. Pleasing angulation front and rear and she stands on good feet. Goes very well when viewed in profile, true when coming towards and ok in rear.

2. Kettlewhite’s Cadasaro Gucci. 22 mth old parti-colour who presented a nice compact outline. Pleasing neck, firm topline, correct ribbing, nice short loin and tail set on high and curled over back. Feminine headpiece with good proportions, eyes of good colour but not quite shape of those of winner, clean cheeks and correct bite. Moderate angulation both ends and stands on good feet. When gaiting she goes pretty well all through but 1 just had the edge. Good quality coat.

LB (2,0)

1. Pearce & Francis’ Longsdale's I Will Survive. 3 yr old black who very much appealed for type and was good hands on. Neck of correct length to provide balance, firm through the topline, super rib, nice short loin and curled tail set on well. First class head and expression; good skull to muzzle proportions, dark oval-shaped eyes which are obliquely set, ears set on well, clean cheeks and scissor bite. Moderately angulated front and rear, stands nice and straight in front on excellent feet and is well muscled all through. Quite something on the go around with such good carriage. Just a tad closer behind. Good quality coat. RCC.

2. King’s Grizwold Oops A Daisy. Sable part-colour of 3 yrs who unfortunately was rather naked on the day. Nicely balanced girl with very good neck, level topline, ribbing carried well back and short loin but not quite croup of winner. Feminine headpiece with nearly flat skull, moderate stop, super eye and ear, clean cheeks and correct dentition. Pleasing angles front and rear and although she goes well on the go around, winner had the edge in overall carriage. Showy girl who didn’t let her handler down.

OB (3,0)

1. O’Leary’s Cadasaro Keep The Faith. Three quite different bitches challenged in this class with my winner found in this 3 yr old cream. Soundly constructed girl who is totally feminine and was pleasing to get hands on. Neck of correct length which flows smoothly into good shoulders, firm through the topline, correct ribbing, nice short loin and curled tail set on well. Pleasing breadth to skull which is proportionate in length to that of muzzle, oval-shaped eyes of good colour, ears set on rather high, clean cheeks and scissor bite. Moderately angulated both ends and she stands well naturally. Gaiting freely all through and using herself as she goes. Good quality coat. CC.

2. Roberts’ Cwrtafon Cosmic Love. Black of 2 yrs and another with so much to like. She pleased for overall type and presented a compact outline with correct length of neck, firm level back, very good ribbing, short in the couplings and curled tail set on well. Quality head of good proportions, oval-shaped eyes which are obliquely placed and are dark enough, ears set on well, clean cheeks and correct dentition. Pleasing angles front and rear and she stands nice and straight in front on good feet. Showy girl who didn’t disappoint when gaiting.

3. Pearce & Francis’ Ch Longsdale Miss Mussell
