Critique
Mittel Overall the quality of the dogs was better than the bitches which is always a concern for any breed. Long backs are creeping in spoiling the general appearance of a breed in which the standard calls for a compact, short-coupled dog well knit with an almost square outline. DOGS.
P (3). 1 Powell Desaria A Blueprint At Brookwell (BP). Young dog in correct harsh coat, masculine in outlook. Good body, stood well. Well presented. 2 Mulholland & Looker: Caolita Nemesis. Not as mature as the winner and finer throughout. 3 Mulholland & Looker Wyndlee Bungalow Bill.
J (2). 1 Hunter Rossfort Baltic Pacesetter (RDCC). White dog with plenty of coat. Looked good in outline, but when not concentrating stood a little slack in front. When collected he could not be denied. Good pigment. Short in the back with good bone. Good mover. 2 Williams Druitz Snow King. Longer in the back not such good bone.
PG (6,1). 1 Thurston Rossfort Caractacus. White dog, lovely pigment, short in back moved well. 2 Calvert & King Red Alert. Chocolate dog with good bone and masculine in outlook. Not in full coat and eye could have been darker to complete the picture. 3 Clayton Studholme Frizzco Kid.
L (6,1). 1 Hewett Runfold Full Frottle With Spellcast JW. Chocolate, stood and showed well. Sound mover. Short back, well set tail. 2 Hunter Rossfort Eldorado. Very smart black dog, in lovely coat and condition, not as mature as winner. 3 Powell Desaria Flash Gordon At Brookwell.
O (3,1). 1 Butler Galvizach Phixons Flyer (DCC) (BOB). Black dog, lovely head with good dark well placed eye. Well constructed with good bone. Good harsh coat. Balanced throughout. Moved well. Was pleased to award him the CC which I understand makes him up. 2 Powell Desaria Aurelius At Brookwell. Another smart dog not in full coat today eye lighter than the winner. Looks well standing but not quite the front assembly of the winner and wider behind; but still a very nice dog.
BITCHES. P (5,2). 1 Clayton Studholme Loving Lass. Not a strong class, winner has good pigment and reasonable movement. Harsh coat, could be shorter in back. 2 Thurston Rossfort Xanadu. In good coat, but long back which spoilt overall outline. Rather light in bone. 3 Bray Abbicher Lily Langtree.
J (1). 1 Clayton Studholme Loving Lass. Winner of Puppy Class.
PG (4). 1 Williams Daraydala Coco Chanel At Druitz. Chocolate, unfortunately not in coat but very nice bitch. Short back, moved well. Good eye and expression. 2 Beech Galvizach Black Velvet Of Sandkarah. Black bitch with good bone slightly longer in back than winner. Not such a good mover as the winner. 3 Cleworth Daraydala Witchcraft.
L (3,1). 1 Clayton Studholme Kiss An Tell (RBCC). Sorry no notes on this class. 2 Hunter Rosscroft Casual Look.
O (3,1). 1 Smith Desaria Destiny (BCC). Chocolate bitch in lovely coat and condition. Good head and expression. Good body well set tail. Moved soundly. To be critical would like slightly more of her all over but quality bitch. 2 Butler Phixons Mizz Kizzi. Black lacking coat today. Not as good mover as winner.
