Critique

MITTEL:

Vet D (1) 1 Pooley’s Rossfort Apollo. In gorgeous condition and as fit as they come. Still has such good legs and feet. Excellent proportions of head to muzzle, neat small ears. In good body and his movement was sharp and sound. In good coat for the time of year.

PD (4) 1 and Best Puppy, Hewett’s Spellcast Talk To Me. Exciting prospect who just needs to widen a little more across the rear on the move. His construction and type are excellent, has a super head and ears and a promising coat. Great side mover too. 2 Orchard’s Spilmah Penny for Em. Younger and needs exercise, very narrow across the chest and no muscle at all. A good shape and also appealed in head, eye and expression. Good legs and feet. Mustn’t get any bigger and he looks to have some growth left in his knuckles. 3 Mulholland and Looker’s Caolita Nemesis.

JD (4) 1 Beard’s Wyndlee Chandera Spectre. Two lovely boys, one and two! Winner tidier in movement on the day and tighter in lips. Enough neck on a super head. Good front, bone and feet. Correct body and tail ok. Moderately angled to give a brisk, medium stride. In good coat, a lovely quality dog, as was 2. 2 Purves’ Rossfort Xcel Among Bulabs. Nice size, good bone and stands himself well, also has good bone and angulation. Well set tail and appealing head. Maybe lips could be tighter and he did need more muscle, which would help his up and down movement. 3 Holmes and Mulholland’s Wyndlee Bungalow Bill.

PGD (8) 1 and Res CC, King’s Grizwold Iolo Goch. A lovely class. The winner is good to go over, sound and has a nice front, layback of shoulder and good forechest. Good legs and small cat feet. Excellent body and ribbing, short firm loin. Well set on tail, good behind and a pleasing, spitzy head, although ears are a little large, they are carried nicely erect. I loved his sharp bustling movement, so typical of the best. 2 Powell’s Desaria Blue Print at Brookwell. A similar stamp and also the most beautiful head, eyes and expression, neat small ears. A bit too wide across the chest and out at elbows, equally good body and powerful impressive rear. In good coat and he has an excellent side gait. 3 Mulholland’s Umshubwe Faccia Die Angelo.

LD (6) 1 Powell’s Desaria Flash Gordon at Brookwell. Close between these two. The winner is slightly better balanced than 2, and he had tighter and thicker feet. Lovely head with defined stop, ears could be set a bit higher on skull. Enough neck for good head carriage. Excellent body, tail and quarters. Brisk even stride and a gorgeous harsh coat. 2 Chambers’ Musique Executive Decision. If anything I thought he was shorter in back than his height at the withers, so looked a bit rectangular, ie upwards. Pleasing head and better ears than the winner. Lovely body and topline, good moderate rear angles and he too moved quite well. 3 Purves’ Bulabs Spirit in the Sky.

OD (6) 1 CC and Best of Breed, Duke and Gardner’s Daraydala Secret Squirrel. Glad to find a Spitz so well made. Super to go over all through with a great head, eyes and excellent neat, small triangular ears. Great front and rear angulation , perfect tail and body and dead sound moving. So typical in profile gait too. In immaculate coat and muscular condition. 2 Powell’s Ch Desaria Disraeli at Brookwell. Similar type, size and proportions but not the front or front movement of the winner. Also in marvellous coat and body, super topline and tailset. Sound behind too. 3 Beard’s Ch Wyndlee Ghost in my House.

Vet B (1) 1 Burge’s Kuseley Ice’n A Slice. Still in lovely nick, maybe a little overweight but allowable for an ‘oldie’. Stands well and and moves well. A lovely head and a well set tail. Coat a bit soft.

PB (5) 1 Beard’s Spilmah Penny Lane in Wyndlee. Just needs to widen in under jaw a touch, Nice proportions, good front and rear, ideal topline and a good head coming. Moves nicely for age. 2 Hewett’s Spellcast Look Who’s Talking. Pretty cream baby, immature for her age and needs to widen a little and grow up. Promising too and a delightful character. A super brown, went lame lame unfortunately in this class and withdrew. 3 Bray’s Abbicher Lily Langtree.

JB (3) 1 Beard’s Wyndlee Chandera Dotty Dotty. Could be a size larger but all else is super, sharp brisk and precise on the move. Pretty head and a good stop, well placed tail and moderately angulated rear. 2 Thurston’s Rossfort Xanadu from Liubice. All over the place moving and needs exercise to tighten her up and improve her feet. Beautiful head and eyes, excellent pigment, sharp small ears. A bit overlong in body as yet.

PGB (4) 1 Beard’s Danack’s Winny the Witch. She will be nice given time and more coat. Pleasing type and proportions, excellent rear, bone and small, tight feet. Good head, a little lacking in stop, nice eyes and a broad, flat skull. 2 King’s Grizwold Inabikari. Just perfect conformation. Lovely front and rear angles, well bodied and a good set of tail. Tight lips, neat ears and a bright, enquiring expression. She is bang out of coat and she does need more bone. Excellent mover. 3 Mulholland’s Umshubwe Ruby’s Black Onyx.

LB (4) 1 and Res CC, Williams’ Daraydala One for the Boys at Druitz. In good coat and condition, stands and moves beautifully. Maybe backskull is a little too rounded, but correct tapering muzzle and tight lips. Enough neck, excellent body and topline. Well set tail. A precise mover and showing well. 2 Pooley’s Wyndlee Fallen Angel from Azkaban. Out of coat and will look better in another few months. Super head, eyes and expression. Good legs and feet, ok mover and a sweet personality. 3Orchard’s Pennypot Enchantress with Spilmah.

OB (4) 1 and CC, Garbutt’s Ch Runfold China Crisis at Nixtev. Quality bitch who is moved too fast for her own good. Moderately angulated breeds are much better walked to exhibit the typical gait. However, this is a lovely bitch in good condition and coat, stands herself well and is nice to go over. Eyes a touch bold, otherwise a beautiful head. Coat in good nick too. 2 Smith’s Desaria Destiny. Would like her a wee bit bigger. feminine and well put together, lovely head and pigment. OK in angulation, in profuse coat with a good tail and a neat mover. 3 Wright’s Ch Tempore Rights Reserved at Orion (Imp).
